Yes you are right to , the white are not a superior race for sure, but a sophisticated one...we Africans did not have widespread sophisticated states pre-colonialism.....there are a handful here and there...but it was not widespread...these lack of sophistication still persisted after colonialism

We lacked a whole lot of things that would have helped us advanced before the Europeans started expanding...
Just imagine we were sophisticated, the african states in west Africa might have met together to forge a united pact on how to deal with the Europeans....we would have even started trading with them beforehand and have lots of knowledge about the wider world...
Imagine the yorubas, beni and co coming together to form an accord to halt European expansionism, that is sophistication...
Sophistication in literacy, writing, architecture, warfare, knowledge about the world... despite the trans sahara trade, it still had limited impact in sub-saharan africa...how many igbos, urhobos, ijaw ,bini and co knew about the arabs, the turks, the Europeans, the Persians and co before the Europeans came, how many yorubas knew about the zulus...

They never talked about the fact that Europe, Asia, and North Africa remained in contact for thousands of years and ideas spread. Go to North Korea and see if they know about the Russia - Ukraine war.
