I'm surprised Nigeria ain't there cos we have at least 50 buildings taller than 60metres.

If their definition of skyscraper is a building at least 100 metres tall, then we only have 14 that make the cut below. But personally, I think any building from 60 metres and higher is a skyscraper cos they look the part already.

There's no way Lagos will have more skyscrapers more than Nairobi, and Tanzania biggest city!

How many Lagos or Nigeria do you saw there?
Now compare it to how many Nairobi and Tanzania you see there

There is nothing special about skyscrapers. It doesn't always mean economic prosperity. Countries choose how they want to plan their cities according to the history and taste of its citizenry. Europe doesn't have a lot of tall
Buildings because of choice and economy.

China on the order hand built more skyscrapers because of it vast population which is estimated to exceed their current 1.4 billion inhabitants in few years

Some people just like to argue blindly and ends up embarrassing themselves.

The list clearly mentioned skyscraper and you are mentioning Lagos.
Don't you all know they have some criteria in determining what a skyscraper should look like?

So, let's use common sense here, if you think the list is fake because they didn't include Lagos and south Africa, don't you think if they had Included Lagos and south Africa's high rise buildings then the number of that of USA will go from 800 to like 100,000 ?

Sometimes before you argue, use your head.

If you Study the History of China, you will be Sad for Nigeria and other African Countries.😔😔😔

Before 1945, They were under British Rule and were OPPRESSED by Japan, in collaboration with a Nationalist govt.🤨🙂

But their Communist Leader Mao TSE Tung Fought a battle against the Nationalists and Japan and won in 1949.
and used the next 40Years to set China to become a World power!. 🙂🙂

I Believe this is Why ObiDients worldwide should NOT relent!

Poor services infrastructure makes the development of tall buildings largely unviable in these parts.
Power and water supply, waste disposal, fire control, etc can all add up to huge sums required to keep such buildings independently functional.
Sums that most business or private occupants will struggle to afford in the kind of economy Nigeria presents.
