since china learnt about buildings, even though they like short cut (not price related) habits in their crafts. The Americans have the blueprints for quality building processes, from their past and current researchers and experts *(nigeria no dey like get that kind thing, abi na aloofry). Recently builders are taking short cuts in the building crafts, without getting to deep, situations like - when using the right amount of mixture (on the research level, on the process and diligence on the manufacturing and install level) - the time period of mixture (therush to complete project or their miscalculation on time period of the mixture) - the conditions during process ( so yeah, manufacturers produce their products in certain environments, then label their products for certain environments). But conditions are not perfect in the real world, for the craftsmen, sometimes. I think the idea of efficiency metering, and inspections, on manufacturing plant robotics and machines, if that machine can be proven to be less than 80% efficient, then their products should be sold for less, like 40% less rate, from original rate. There should be guidelines on an agreed knowledgable process, from a scientific and practical results standpoint; in software assessment, and mechanical characteristics difference from original intent. They have to penalize robotics that are doing the job, because yes they can make more, but even a machine is not perfect after the 1st day or year. So, I thing after the 1st 6months of installation, a manufacturing plant need to have a knowledge inspection on their process. If not, you will be having manufacturing failure. America used to inspect several steps without stifling creativity. They also had processes for inspecting and documenting craftsmen. We hope china is not building dust scrapers. If you look at the details from manufacturing, to craftsmanship, America used to be more and have more quality. but china has used shortcut to take over. Since china started making amusement park equipments, the accidents have become frequent. Is not really an operator fault, because the thing requires more maintenance, and the the material shielding, are almost always compromising after a short use. So, since we can't give machines a 100% reliability. They need to be penalized, humans are not perfect, but penalized, when humans are the ones building the machines, that build machines. Then machine can hide behind quantity and be forming perfect. The way to do it without impeding progress, is to open the some clothing, some machine parts, etc. You can have lesser penalty depending on safety, for food processing, some other essential machinery. 1 Like |

Skyscrapers is not a sign of wealth, it's built because of inavailability of land. How many European countries are in that list? Is North Korea better than Germany? It costs more to build high rise building. Why would any sane person/government waste money on skyscraper when you can spread same for less. Skyscraper should be built to serve a specific purpose or when land is very scarce. 3 Likes 2 Shares |

NFBI: I think you guys are mixing it up. Hong Kong was always a part of China. It was promised the autonomy to run herself about 25 years ago because of her growing economy and keeping her as a city in China was limiting its potential. Hong Kong however till this day is still clamoring for full independence from China. They aren’t a country yet; just an external region under Chinese administration 2 Likes |

Some may say skyscrappers is not the problem of Nigeria, but this is why it is important for Nigeria to try and build the tallest Skyscrapper in Africa, at least. 1. It is a sense of national progress; 2. It is a sense of improvement, innovation, science and technology; 3. Even if we have land today, nations should plan for population increases and start building up; 4. It is a test of the prowess of a country’s engineers and architects; 5. It is a sign of modernity; 6. It is a sign of economic growth, and in fact mental development (the non-ambition of black Africa is stark in this regard. What is the essence of our vaunted education?); 7. It is a sign of ability to compete with other nations and hold our own; 8. Practice makes perfect. The more you build, the better you get. Not building or improving at all means you are not practicing as a people; 9. It is a sign of freedom, especially for upcoming generation who must do better than their predecessors. Many people who could achieve in black Africa, have refused to try because they don’t want to rock the boat. They do not want governments to come after them ,either politically or for excessive taxes. This is a symptom of fear. 10. It is a symbol of national, continental or even racial pride and gives some bragging rights in the comity of nations. 2 Likes 2 Shares |
