Yup, Nigeria is a crime scene. Patriotic citizen tongue

Police has stopped so low to display this nonsense

The police can execute can arrest if there is a valid reason to arrest or there is a warrant of arrest. The fact that he was on live TV or any fancy place for that matter can not legally stop it's execution. He was certainly not in an embassy.

Only God know the kind of Stone Age curriculum the Nigerian Police is using in its training schools.

It is professionally, legally and morally wrong for any security agency to arrest a suspect during a live coverage of a program. They should have allowed the program to be concluded before effecting the arrest.

Our police will continue to be a disgrace and the leadership should e embarrassed for this.

That means they can burst into Arise studio and arrest Rufai Oseni for always tackling the leadership.
I know the guy he just escaped kidnapping from a pastor who is threatening him so he went for a live coverage the pastor too sent police after him

*Politeness*
In a civilized society police cannot arrest a citizen without a court order, unless there is clear evidence the person has committed a crime or is about to commit a crime, AND police will inform the person right away why she's being arrested and her rights!

No, they can. They only need a duly signed arrest warrant by a DPO or office of the commissioner, area commander etc.
The police has lot of powers that you don't even know.

The guy should have gone to them with his lawyer for their questioning. That will be better.

1. Which one is "restricting" arrest?
He refused to obey the officer on duty assuming he had the written approval backing his action
2. How did he restrict arrest and obstruct police duty?
If the police officer have a valid warrant of arrest, then the guy is purely resisting as evident in the video

Sometimes criminals behave in a way that puts security agencies in a very difficult situation.
If a man decides to behave irrationally it's okay for police to be irrational with him too.
The police I know would have extended invitation to him and called him to come to their office and he has refused.
I'm sure he ran to that television studio believing falsely that he can't be arrested on set.

If you actually listened well you would hear the guy telling them the right thing for the police to do is to invite him to their office if they had anything against him. And what criminal runs to a radio station to hide?

Then when the police saw him on set they knew he has finally entered. So what is the rationale behind interrupting the session to arrest him when you knew he has already played into your hands and has no where to run to. Senselessness showcases in different forms.

Let people be supporting rubbish!! He would have been invited severally but would have refused. In as much as we don't like the police and their ways, they sometimes have to act like that because some Nigerians are very stubborn and until force is used on them, they will continue to disobey ......

Una go just dey speak nonsense English full space. So you mean if a junkalist says things capable of disturbing public peace and inciting violence, he should be allowed to finish because he is on the job?

Most Nigerians just want to be heard. They don't even listen to themselves cheesy

Don't mind them.....if that guy perpetuate something criminally disturbing, they will also be the ones shouting Nigerian police are not proactive.

Many Nigerians speak 🗣️ with both side of the mouth 😂🤣

The police you know? You will sing a different song the day you will actually have an encounter with them. Cos with this your write up, it's clearly evident you hardly step outside your parents house.

So calm down, until you get small responsibility ok. Good boy.

The first step in an arrest is to state the offence the person is being arrested for.
E.g: "You are under arrest for armed robbery"

No such thing was done here.
For obvious reason the police may not tell you the reason for your arrest immediately maybe escape is feared or to prevent putting the life of the suspect in danger definitely they will tell him he's offense when he get to the station is like that

So, those defending him, should tell us more!

Surely, you are smoking something. A person who is a guest on a live radio show is unidentified? Are you having a laugh?
