A routine visit to the bank turned contentious when a customer voiced disapproval of another's attire, deeming it unsuitable for the setting. The incident stirred debate online, with opinions divided on the boundaries of appropriate dress in public spaces.

Does She Have the Right to Wear Whatever She Feels Like in Public Places?

This is sexist.

Have you considered relocating to Saudi Arabia where your fantasies of regulating women will be well fulfilled?

Saudi regulates women extremely does not mean other society does not do so moderately. It's all about social orderliness. The bank she is in has a strict code of dressing for staff. Does that mean they too are sexist ?

Even harvard that teaches women right. Have strict regulations as to mode of dressing and this are supposedly educated people. Sexism does not teaches immorality. True sexism teach self control and standard moral decipline for the female just as true masculinity is all about protection of the weak and upholding proper moral standards.

Not in a public space. Entering a public space automatically grants permission to been photographed. If she was in her house and this was filmed, then that would be a violation of privacy. But in a public space, you don't need consent

You are so ignorant, the girl right was violated. The video is an assault on her and her privacy.
And all this english you dey speak won’t help matter, If you want don’t like your life or freedom, don’t mind your business. Keep speaking grammar

The point is this, I agree her dressing is inappropriate, but the person not minding his business is a baboon and it’s very inappropriate to video a stranger without her permission. This is a lawless country and please stop comparing with Islamic laws that are anti-freedom. Islam and Islamic dominated countries and ideaologies will not mind to bring the world to its knees

People can't mind their business when you harassing them sexually. You attack their minds with real and visual images of yourself that can arouse them, influence children negatively and be seductive.

The mind is very important because it processes a lot for us and we need to be careful of what we take into our minds.

The guy that did the video was doing it to record the attack on people's minds. Do you watch "Cheaters" on Digital TV or online? Do they have permission to record those scenes? No! Do you know that such recording can be lodged as evidence for or against anyone under investigation or view?

If the lady would love to protect her privacy then she should respect the the minds, dignity and mentality of others in public space by dressing properly. She can still dress sexy without exposing her sensitive and amorous body parts.

Do you recognize that there is sharia law in some parts of Nigeria despite that we have a statutory laws and constitution of the federal republic of Nigeria and legislative laws? Is Nigeria a wholly Islamic country?

However, it is not about domination by Islam. It is a mode of dress that Islam, Christianity and traditionalists frown at and classify as unacceptable in Nigeria.

How is the video an assault on her privacy? Do people go naked in public spaces? She literally had her butt out for the whole world to see. People keep private things protected. They don't throw them in the public for the world to see. Same bank she walked into already has her on video...so what damned difference does it make?

But she is the first offender: she violated, attacked and harassed the minds of people in the public space first.

The guy was building his case with the recording of the lady that he did. He needs evidence and that video is a good evidence.

We mind our business and protect our minds. That is the reason we object to such dress code.

Her privacy was invaded and this is an assault to use camera to follow a girl over a dressing. She has every right to call the cops on you

And this is surprising coming from a woman, you think it’s the same madness they do when a girl enters market and you begin to scream and follow her shouting aunty see your yansh!! That’s a clear assault

You are not a good listener and you just want to base your argument on false foundation.

We have told you several times that this is Nigeria, not USA Europe or other countries.

We are a people with culture, tradition, religion and personalities that don't accept such dress in public space.

You don't have to like that about us; you can complain till thy kingdom come but we remain Nigerians - that is how we are cultured, trained and wired.

Live with this information or die questioning it - we don't care.
