Why are women so emotional, you ask?
Its basically because of the hormonal and brain structure differences between men and women.

"Hormones: The reason for the differing male and female reactions to stress is rooted in hormones. The hormone oxytocin is released during stress in everyone. However, estrogen, which women produce, tends to enhance oxytocin resulting in calming and nurturing feelings whereas testosterone, which men produce in high levels during stress, reduces the effects of oxytocin."

"Limbic size: Women typically have a larger deep limbic brain system than men, which allows them to be more in touch with their feelings and better able to express them, which promotes bonding with others. Because of this ability to connect, more women serve as caregivers for children. The down side to this larger deep limbic system is that it also opens women up to depression, especially during times of hormonal shifts such as after childbirth or during a woman’s menstrual cycle."

"Corpus collosum size: it is reported that a woman's brain has a larger corpus collusum, which means women can transfer data between the right and left hemisphere faster than men. Men tend to be more left brained, while women have greater access to both sides."

Its their make-up; God created them so, you would get to discover this more often. There are just varying degrees of expressing such emotions.

crying is a way of expressing emotion

so is
fighting anger
dancing joy
killing hate anger jealousy
clapping joy excitement
cheering joy
poking arousal

so if  you say women cry more YES
women are more emotional NO

you are right on that but the question is not sensitivity but emotion and most people are focusing only on crying
envy/jealousy along with anger are the commoner emotions in both men and women but women show their anger less. this tells me that it is social conditioning to what works

getting angry or aggressive with a man will not work and a man crying for a woman or another man will not work
it is a form of communication
we are all emotional we just speak different languages

I laugh at all the silly replies. that is how they were made, hormones etc.
The bottomline is a woman cannot be the President of a great nation like Naija or USA. When they are on PMS they will take stupid decisions.
Wouldnt be surprised to hear a female president say "Oya, that woman that was rude to me make una send Nigerian army go bomb her house. grin
