Air peace should have made proper consultation with other airlines before splashing the average airline ticket to UK.

The wise say: sometimes it is better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak and remove all doubt.

You want Air peace to break UK laws bah? Do you know what price fixing is?

Price fixing
You must not discuss the prices you’re going to charge your customers with your competitors.

You’ll be breaking the law if you agree with another business:

- to charge the same prices to your customers
- to offer discounts or increase your prices at the same time
- to charge the same fees to intermediaries, for example retailers selling your products

Major U.S. Airlines in Litigation For Ticket Price-Fixing Conspiracy

Following a Justice Department investigation into consistently high airline ticket prices despite the fact that oil and jet fuel prices plummeted 40% in recent years, multiple lawsuits were filed accusing the major U.S. airlines of acting as a price-fixing cartel in violation of both federal and state antitrust laws. These lawsuits have been grouped together by the Judicial Panel on Multidistrict Litigation.

Same way Globacom came to deal with the likes of MTN and Airtel who told the world that per second billing was not possible for GSM calls.

I remember the early days, you make the mistake of "flashing" another GSM user and God help you they pick the call even for a second, your #50 is gone for good. Glo came and rescued Nigerians from the hands of those two providers. And suddenly the price of SIM cards dropped from #50,000 to free by the roadside.

We need more local carriers to bring some atom of sanity to the pricing in the aviation industry, Nigeria, as big as we claim to be, does not have a national carrier that will set the pace for other airlines operating in and out of the country. May God just help the nation.

Man you are very unintelligent. You talk so much nonsense all the time. Ordinarily I would chuck it up to very poor quality education but your pattern of behavior shows an extremely low IQ individual who is garrulous and not very bright .

What do you mean by consult with foreign airlines ? Did they consult with Nigerian aviation minister or sector before tripling and quadrupling their ticket prices ?

Stop always confirming our suspicion that you are very unintelligent and learn to be silent when faced with topics your handicapped IQ cant handle .

Learn to think like a patriot and not be always so hateful and negative.
Keep your stupidity focused on your family and not this nation.

At the end of the day, it will take Nigerians to ignore the prices of other airlines and still fly Air Peace if the airline is to survive the price war.

This is a lesson to all the bigots abusing Yoruba people and trying to distance the Tinubu administration from the success of Air Peace’s maiden flight to London. Tribalizing the airline and chest beating when we should be making it a Nigerian brand will make it fail in the face of global air politics.

I don't even think it's all about tribal issue

When Adenuga crashed the prices of GSM Sim card in 2004/2005
To 2000 Naira

Nigerians benefitted

MTN and Econet were selling likes as high as 35000 then

But Adenuga crashed it

Building a good business is the key here
If a business is built well who really cares about tribe?

When Nigerian business persons begin to build global brands
Who will really care about tribe?

It's because we haven't evolved as a people
Thats why we still think tribe

Even some of our neighboring African countries don't even think tribe

But Nigeria tribalises everything
Which will continue drawing this country backwards

Started from our founding fathers

Presently our elites are at the fore front of this issue
Continuing on this part

Nigeria may never really develop
Because these things will continue drawing the Nations progress backwards

The curses and the poisoned salary you've been receiving to oppose anything that speaks the truth is gradually catching up on you in reality.

If a rational thinking person is paid to act irrational over a long time, there's a high chance irrationality will become his norm. You no longer possess the sense of logical thinking since you've acted St.upid for years cheesy cheesy

Consult? For real? For what exactly?

Our "presumed" national carrier should consult other national airlines before fixing a price for her country men. Gosh..!!!

Oga go and buy your British airways tickets and stop yarning drivel!!....Onyeama is an astute business man, if nigerians fail to patronize the lagos -london route air peace should abandon it and face the awka-houston route...........ndigbo full texas/georgia axis na! If Air peace ticket to London is $700, na to just drop theirs to $650.

The foreign airlines are not trying to frustrate Air peace. They are just trying to be competitive. That's what happens when you run a business. Stop the victim talk.

You are talking trash! if you try that kind of conspiracy in America, you will face FTC (federal trade commission) query! Of course The Nigerian government is filled with unpatriotic igbo haters! This is where I blame Air peace...he should sell his airline as an igbo airline ....concentrate on your indian, joburg, china, hong kong and uae routes...........leave that ajegunle to london route for the agbadorians to be dealt with by the british!nonsense!

I don't know why the author is wailing. Perhaps he wants the airline to form a union with airpeace as the chairman with the sole purpose of fixing high prices to the detriment of customers like is common in many sectors in Nigeria.

Same thing needs to be done in the cement and housing sector. Remove the monopoly enjoyed by Dangote and allow those with money to import cheap cement into Nigeria to crash the price.

Dangote is a wicked person and his business can crumble for all I care
