Haha they lost the entire defense, then the midfielders are the one playing defense. Lfc no lose only vvd, the season went down because the midfielders that was protecting the defence were now playing defense Make we post legit stuff |

I support Arsenal not a freaking coach, at the height of Wenger’s dominance and success, when the fans were done with it, they let him know because no one is bigger than the club, so who is Arteta that should not catch sticks? He was hired to do a job and in his 3rd year, there is no clarity regarding the club but of course questioning the golden child is abominable because he is the 2nd coming of Marcelo Lippi. He has been excused and anyone who calls him out is seen as an enemy of the club. I have been consistent about my position even before he was hired and the streaks. I don’t care about the hate, Arsenal matters to me now and in the future. We did not tolerate this much from Ebening, even though that one nearly sent us to the Championship but has Arteta not done same? No one expected us to flirt with top 4 but when you watch the implosion going on especially as this stage of this season, then it’s deja vu all over again. I have seen enough to know we are not going anywhere with Arteta especially if you are looking to match up against the others for top 4 consistently. |

Moreover it's arsenal FC not partey FC Why his injury affect defense that was winning us games, we should be drawing with CS instead of losing |

Nothing beats right mentality and attitude on match day. I was watching Real Madrid vs Sevilla the other day. This was a team that just played a gruelling encounter vs Chelsea to qualify for the next phase of the champions league and were losing 2 0 away to Sevilla. The most inspiring part was that they even had a goal rulled out by var but rather than moan or complain about it. They just kept at it and ended up winning that match 3 2. It was same benzema, modric vicinius et all that put their bodies on the line with little or no recovery time to go out there and deliver yet another performance. That win ultimately takes care of Laliga. Our players really do not know what is at stake and I'm not sure even the coaching staff has what it takes to get them over the line. Why should we still be talking about leadership almost 13 years going now? Can the club not really look into their recruiting to see how they can not only buy quality but also the one that possess leadership qualities in lieu of eradicating the problem or leadership completely? Well for now it's just to enjoy the games and hope for the best even though imho getting top four or even deserving it on evidence of our performances lately is not justifiable. |

BlueRayDick:This is false. Liverpool lost van dijk in Oct abi Nov and they were still in 1st or 2nd position even at January. Their downward spiral started when the lost their defensive line which made klopp started using Midfielders as CBs. |

Jodera: Is arsenal the same as city that has 1 billions pounds worth of players in its books? Arsenal that signed Martinelli Nobodynho just, signed pepe just to pay his sign on fee over a number of years, etc..... U expect that arsenal to be compared to City àbí? The problem I always have with most arsenal fans is they fail to see the decline over a number of years beginning from Wenger's later years to the present and they expect a miracle to happen such that arsenal will compete favorably with their "contemporaries" We were all here when teams that were not near the traditional top4 were building up for the future and our board was slumbering busy doing business Koreonke way. Now we suddenly expect a rookie manager to buy all needed players within a year or two and compete with the so called "contemporaries" Is that playing? What sort of playing is that? |

Jodera: Lolz. If Van Djik was fit will the coach use midfielders as CB? Especially when he signed a CB in January....Will he still use Fabinho as CB if Van Djik was fit between January that he signed a CB and May when the league was completed? |

50d33q:Lol, na here I dey wey I bring Partey as example but they say anybody can replace anybody afterall no be under structure we dey?. Now it happened, e don turn to "Partey na our best player so everybody must be down" like say na Partey FC. I brought logical reasons why our team is floundering, the least that could be done is to bring up facts maybe formation wise or sort on why it's not due to Partey's quality dem dey shout agenda. Like who gives a hell about agenda when our team is failing? 1 Like |

BlueRayDick:he was using Gomez and Matip in CB positions and they were winning matches and topping table. They lost momentum when both Matip and Gomez had injury and Midfielders was drafted in their place. That's different from you saying ONLY van dijk had injury and their season spiralled down |
Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: Finally Reborn! The Red & White Army: FA CUP Champions 2020 by mostob(m): 1:53pm On Apr 18, 2022 |
Jodera:It's about partnership and team structure. White and Gabriel were called up to their national teams because of their performance but since Partey got injured, they have become ordinary. Rammy was behind only Elderson in he race for golden boot but baba don swallow 6 goals in 3 games now. Everything boils down to Midfield...If your Midfield is balanced and solid, even Maguire will win best defender I. EPL. |

BlueRayDick:Why are you countering me bros na . I think this should be directed to Spy not me. I strictly talked arsenal but he said Man city had same Psychological issues as us and suffered but quickly recovered cos of their quality in players. So hence my question to him ... When did it happen to city cos I don't seem to remember. |

Jodera:Like Roland said everything is agenda We win DWYL We lose MWYL Whereas the bigger picture is the coach that is clueless since over 3 years now buying more and more defenders |

mostob:Thank you very much Kokane and I even used vvd and koulibally as example because those 2 are rock at the back We told everyone is midfield is bad even the world best defenders will concede stupid goals that was where they started calling mustafi and the rest clowns. Who will play behind xhaka or Leno and not concede stupid goals. This same mustafi played with Martinez and a better midfield in 3 straight Europa without conceding 1 goal No be JuJu be that Funny enough, we now have new set of clowns in Gabriel and white because they are conceding stupid goals and Gabriel is now making silly errors mustafi was criticized for. Now we need new set of CB 1 Like |

This mentality problem started during Wenger's latter years when he stopped grooming warriors and started grooming commodities. After that 6-0 loss against Chelsea that came after Mourinho called Wenger a specialist in failure, one of the invincible, Henry maybe, said Arsenal lacked leadership and the right mentality because how can a team walloped you 6-0 after insulting your manager. Bergkamp said the same thing days ago. |

Now, we have a lot of young players starting for us and managed by a rookie. None even knows what it means to win the big prizes. The board better starts going for matured players if Arteta is still planning to continue. The shoulders of these youngies are too frail to carry arsenal problem |

50d33q:That's the truth. I remember mentioning something like this when the debate was going on here. Wenger continually make top 4 even with Giroud in the front and Per at the back because he has a strong Midfield. Forget defence and attack, Midfield is the foundation of every team. 1 Like 1 Share |

50d33q: I think Arteta biggest mistake was not strengthening in Jan this season. The big contrast between our midfield and attack bench to the starting lineup is very wide. Same can't be said for defence. We dey complain for Partey now, if Saka go injury (God forbid) and Pepe replaces him and start playing his usual nonsense, you'll hear how it's the team that's being affected by Saka that's causing it. So the team is affected psychologically |

Jodera: How u chose to interprete my post is the problem here. I didn't use the word "only” in my post ( it’s still there, u can check it ). They lost Van Djik for the whole season and they paid heavily for it. Even when other CB options were available Van Djik who happens to be their best player in previous seasons as recognized by PFA , UEFA and even Balon D’or ( he placed second ) was not available for selection and it is one of the major reasons they ended up how the way they ended. |
