I'm just skeptical about this Matic signing. Hes a great player no doubt, but it seems Jose is running a quick-fix-quick-glory scheme. Does he have any long term plan for the club? Manutd is not just after immediate trophies but consistency. Matic is 29 already, Perisic is 28 and also linked to us. These guys wont give us a good 3 yrs without a steady and rapid decline. Fergie did it with Van Persie but we all understood he needed to break that record before retiring so the quick-fix option was understandable. I was not all that bordered about fee spent on Lukaku and Pogba because the years in them will eventually balance out the fees. But £40mil for a 29yr old? Haba! Was he really needed?

I will just watch as things unfold.

My guess is he's thinking we've lost a lot of experience with Bastian, Rooney and Zlatan leaving so he wanted experienced winners.

I don tire for all this complaining like there's an award for it. It is the same us here who criticize martial for being too inconsistent, Lingard for not being United quality enough...People just forget this is Mourinho's youngest team since Porto. Because he has to build for the future we should litter the team with 20 year olds and do an Arsenal.
