That's the confusion I wrote about. The reason we defend deep is because we have a defensive minded manager whose first tactics is to DEFEND. I don't know the world class defenders at Liverpool that allow them play beautifully and score tons of goals.
Remember, Best form of defense is to attack but we all know Mourinho's best form of defense is to DEFEND.
