Sporting's most expensive sale is Joao Mario to Inter for 36m, but who wouldn't want to cash out on Manchester United before the free giving period comes to an end?

Fernandes and Longstaff should definitely bolster the midfield anyway... Maguire or Koulibaly next

Initial gra gra.. We getting Bruno

Leicester are hell bent on get'n £85 Million for Maguire. Utd are keen on him. They wanna bid again with £80 Million

Lukaku can leave as he is easily replaceable. Pogba isn’t.

No player is irreplaceable. Pogba can be replaced, we have won trophies in the past without Pogba and we have finished 6th and trophyless with Pogba.

We might not be able to replace him with a marque signing, Cristiano Ronaldo was replaced by Antonio Valencia, it was not a like for like replacement but Valencia gave is all for 10 years to honour this badge.

All confirmed: tonight Miguel Pinho (#BrunoFernandes'agent) will be in England to discuss the Bruno's deal to #ManchesterUnited. They have a telephone agreement by €6M a year plus bonuses. Now have to decide the strategy and offer for Sporting. #transfers #MUFC #mutd

So, Pogba and Lukaku are toxic to the dressing room, but DDG isn't, huh?

How comfortable of you

Both players(Pogba and Lukaku) have publicly expressed their desire to seek for a new adventure and don't want to be here next season. Don't you think keeping such players will affect the harmony in the dressing room?

David De Gea, has not showed any signs of that, which means he still has the right attitude to contribute positively to this club, and there is already a talk of contract renegotiation.

To clarify my earlier point: Lukaku is easily replaceable. Pogba isn’t easily replaceable. He’s lazy and sometimes can’t be bothered but he’s the only quality midfielder we have at the moment.

Also, I’m not saying we should hold onto him like Lot’s wife did to Sodom & Gomorrah. It’s just that now is not a good time to be losing players like him. Coutinho also wanted to leave Liverpool but Klopp didn’t release him until he felt it was time and he could cope without him.

It’s the same with Utd and Pogba. If we get Bruno Fernandes and the team starts clicking well, OGS won’t be bothered about Pogba leaving at the end of next season. The only issue then would be how much Utd can gain from his sale.

And there are players who cannot be replaced. Antonio Valencia didn’t replace CR7, he barely offered half of what CR7 gave us even though he gave his all.

I feel ED wants to get other players before going for Maguire or Koulibaly. Get the cheap ones before paying those high amounts for defenders.. Before other clubs will start calling price too.. Nice strategy

Pogba is irreplaceable, Lukaku's is debatable, while your Dea Gea is very very replaceable!

Romelu Lukaku is right to seek a move if a player like Marcus Rashford is preferred to him as starting center forward. He is better than Rashford and has shown that on the pitch they're are not in the same bracket. OGS believes in the Englishman and that's his choice but you don't expect an ambitious player to sit there and fold his arms for someone who'd probably never get as much career goals as him. He showed he was ready to fight for his shirt when moved to the wings and continued grabbing the important goals last season, what else do you want from him?

Paul Pogba carries the team and all he gets is slacks from the British press while the MUFC fans who can't interpret what their eyes see on the pitch join the bandwagon with rival fans to send expletives his way, instead of towards the owners to improve player quality and support his efforts. You don't think he wants trophies as well? We are becoming a bad joke and rival fans are all too happy to see us push him out for your info.

Lowdown on Manchester United target Dani Olmo: Scout Report

Olmo is lightning quick. While the way he plays does remind one of Kevin de Bruyne, but he isn’t as prolific a passer as the Belgian midfield maestro. He is more about carrying the ball from a team’s own half and playing shorter, crispier passes in advanced positions.

He loves to dribble past people and is helped by a truly blessed pair of feet that help him go past people as if they aren’t there. He is technically very sound and while he likes to shoot from distance, he prefers to keep his passing reserved. He is adept in playing passes in triangles- how managers like Pep Guardiola would like. At the same time, he makes movements off the ball that can drag and carve defenses open.

That is why the recent links with Manchester United make sense. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer likes his side to play a fluid shape and they were really good at that during his early days as the club manager. The likes of Anthony Martial, Jesse Lingard, Marcus Rashford and Paul Pogba had the license and freedom to move about in the final third.

That is the sort of system Olmo will thrive on and it will bring the best out of him. Where there isn’t a fixed position for anyone. While United have been calling out for right-wingers, it really depends on the path that Solskjaer is taking going forward. If he wants to have a traditional winger who hugs the touchline in advanced positions to put crosses in,Olmo isn’t the man. But if he wants to use the ways in which he brought smiles back on the faces of United faithfuls, Olmo fits right in.

Don't get me wrong, I am a fan of Big Rom. Romelu Lukaku did not play anywhere near his capability last season to demand regular start, I guess you are looking at the name at the back of the shirt and what he has done in the past. He was completely unfit and over muscular, you could see him gasping for air after 30 mins. Mourinho had already started benching him before Ole came on board. Ofcourse every manager has his choice, it is left for you to work hard and force the Manager's hand.

I can remember Pep benching Aguero for Jesus irrespective of the name at the back of the Jersey, Kun did not turn around to start agitating for a move, instead he worked hard to remain fit and fire in those goals to propel Manchester city to back to back trophies.

In a club like Manchester united, there must be competition for places, if Lukaku feels he cannot compete, he his free to move on instead of staying and sulking around in the dressing room. Same thing happened when Poch arrived Spurs, Adebayor felt he was too big a name to fight for a place with young Harry Kane, but we can see the outcome now. Saying Rashford cannot improve to be a better striker than Lukaku is not completely true.

Like I said earlier, NO PLAYER is irreplaceable including David De Gea. But, Pogba and Lukaku wants out, should we start crawling on our knees to beg them to stay. Why on earth should we build our team around someone that his heart and body is already elsewhere. We no longer need a team of individuals, we want a set of players that can play together as a team and fight for each other on and off the pitch.

Atletico Madrid has just spent £114M pounds to acquire the services of a 19 year old, Joao Felix with just 1 Senior National team appearance, since he his not British nobody we complain that he his over-hyped or overpriced. If it were to be Wan Bissaka, Sancho , Maguire people will be screaming maga united and useless English players.

In today's crazy transfer market, if Ayoze Perez is worth £30M , Danny Ings worth £20M, Zaha £80M then Harry Maguire should be worth £80M quoted no doubt. I will say Ed Woodward should sign him up immediately, we will not remember this price tag few seasons from now. No player his worth the price tag being quoted in this transfer window anyway.

Wtf were they thinking? shocked

I believe there is more to that transfer - the money probably includes the player's wages.

Suarez really wanted to leave Liverpool at a time but Liverpool still held on to him for one more season. We can't discard every player that says they want to leave. Or else we'll become worse that AC Milan. We are at a position in which every quality player we have would be thinking of a future elsewhere.

And your last sentence is so sweet to say in theory. Pogba looks like an 'individualistic' player because he's the only quality player in that midfield. So selling him and replacing him with players we've not seen play because of the so called ' fight for the shirt ' you guys keep yapping about will be unwise. If we sign Bruno Fernandes and he ends up being a great signing, watch him form a great partnership with Pogba..The end result of what you hope is, we sell Pogba then Bruno Fernandes comes in with some rookie signings. Then we transfer the curses from Pogba to Bruno.
Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by footiemaniac: 11:34pm On Jul 03, 2019
You guys are making it sound as if Pogba had a fantastic season and deserve to move elsewhere, No he did not. He had an average season for a world record Midfielder. He was just a flat track bully last season, how many games can you confidently say Paul Pogba dominated the Midfield play in the premier league last season.

Scoring 13 Premier league goals with 7 Penalties against(Brighton,Everton,Burnley,Fulham) and 6 Open play goals against (Fulham , Bournemouth and Everton) all of a sudden he his no longer replaceable. All members of the playing staff last season could be replaced because they were all awful last season. Forget stats padding, If you take away Pogba awoof penalties and goals against inferior teams in the premier league last season, he didn't do anything dominating to warrant all this. He was swallowed in the midfield against the top 8 teams last season, jogging and doing escort services. He had to collect red card against PSG in the first leg for us to qualify to the next round.

Paul Pogba can leave if he wants to, he his not bigger than Manchester united, we will do just fine without him. If Darren Fletcher could replace Roy Keane, who is Paul Pogba?

The difference is Suarez had a fantastic season, you could understand if Liverpool wanted one more season from him. Just the same way Fergie begged Cristiano Ronaldo to give us one more season after having a fantastic season before his record move to Real Madrid. Unlike Paul Pogba that had a below par season and plunged us to 6th place finish. If he has any shame, he shouldn't be talking about leaving this upcoming season, after his abysmal season. He should roll up his sleeves and fight to take us to an healthy position in the league before hustling for a move elsewhere.

That Dani Olmo is adept attacking from the left side of midfield but that is not what we need, we need a right winger or right sided AM.
