Hmmm. Nigerians and the lack of insight again. The hate towards the national assembly can't allow people to see the purpose of the post which is the executive are the real threat. The post just told us that the Executives are the one actually executing the funds and executing the projects. So all those boreholes, radios, wheelbarrows, shoe shining kits etc are actually from the executives. They don't even have a say in what's gets done. They have to deal with what the executives can afford.

If anything, instead of scrapping legislature, I think power should shift from the executives to the legislative. Countries where parliamentary government operates tends to be better of than the presidential systems. Decisions are slow but the progress gradually. Executive is for a country where people have learnt their lessons and are willing to put their country first.

I agree the executive should utilize the funds and it should be scrapped completely from the legislative budget. It's not thier concern. They should make laws and ensure that the laws and any funds released for anything is well utilized.

Why should a senator be building schools or water projects. What happened to the governor and local govt chairman. Even the federal government.
