tochimas: I met this man last year and we got talking.we have been talking marriage since.he was in a relasionship that almost led to marriage but failed after introduction and I feel he is still bitter even though he told me he has forgoten and forgiven.nevertheless I have agreed to marry him.but he will not propose with a ring.he just came back from travel and bought me gifts but no ring even though we had done introduction.he said his ex had gone away with a very expensive ring and he don't want to make the mistake again.though he is nice and loving but I just feel that am paying for someone else sin.how do I make him buy me ring? The ring is a big part of marriage and engagemenmt to me.if so let down.

you will have to prove u are different before he can start seeing u as such, n dat has to take quite some time, trust is earned over time, n in doing dis, it has to be genuine, not some calculated attempt because if he sees it dat way, it would really irritate him

@ poster,Though rings are physical symbol that one is engaged but that does not in anyway mean that there must be a ring for every engagement.
One of my female friends was engaged without a ring and dey had their wedding just last saturday,my brother just got engage,didn't buy no ring but gave her a gift.
