You said that 10% of those commenting have not been to hospitals; if I want to go with that, you should know that 10% is negligible compared to 90%.

For your information, nurses hardly pack poo and pukes, ward attendants and cleaners do that.

Most nurses are rude, they collect shift allowances and hazard allowances, yet they prefer not to be bothered when sleeping on night duty.

You say most? Where did u get your statistics from? Hope not NL.

Their reaction when you call their attention to a patient exhibiting complications on admission is inhuman.

Maybe the frustrated ones. You haven't come across nurses who are passionate about their profession.
Most nurses are rude without provocation.

1. Hardly the ones in govt hospitals in Nigeria. The one you mentioned is in the hospitals abroad or the private ones here.


The nurses i encountered were caring and concerned and always cheerful...not govt hospital though.

Whenever i take my LO for immunization(in a govt hospital), it is always rudeness galore.

2. The first time i went there, i was sent back to my seat because i did not answer "ma" when my baby's name was called.



3. They even scold you for not holding the baby properly for the injection as if we were trained.

It is always a day of patience and holding back.

It is a Nigerian factor as every other Nigerians is rude to each other, in this case the feeling is heightened because you are at your most vulnerable state so every thing seems a damn big deal.

Nursing has the highest population of rude people, they are supposed to be caregivers, but they turn out to be hell-givers. They are so uncivil and impolite. Have you ever seen what they do to women in labour? "Madam no dey give me wahala, no be give you bele"
Soldiers are not rude, they are sticklers for orders and expect others to obey orders too.
