OreMI22: Niger Delta will be the richest country in Africa and perhaps in the world.
Watch Fulani and their yoruba collaborators flood this thread with silly distractions and pure jealousy. Go and read about Equatorial Guinea.
BTW, Nigeria's total oil reserves (heavy and light oil) is put at about 76 billion barrels; Ondo state alone owns roughly 40 billion barrels of those.
You will argue still, because getting facts across to 'sincerely ignorant' people is like baptizing a cat. |

1. Go to national TV, and withdraw his reckless and divisive statements.
2. Appoint people from every region, giving them a stake in their own country.
3. Free political prisoners.
4. [s]Ensure oil black are given to the owners in the region.[/s]
5.Clean up the area.
6. Implement true federalism.
7. [s]Release Nnamdi Kanu unconditionally and apologize to him.[/s]
These are some off the things that will make the country safe and good for all...
But if he continues with his winner take it all..he should be ready to use proceeds from ground nut, cocoa and tomatoes, to run his government of 97%...

Goke7: The SE and SS declared public hatred for PMB during the elections campaign last year, PMB is human like everyone of us, if any group display openly their hatred for you, it will take you time to get over it easily. The SE and SS also added insult to injury by telling PMB and the whole world openly that they had no regrets supporting Jona.
The SE and SS lack political tact, the northerners who supported Jonathan all through lay low after the elections and started reaching out diplomatically to PMB, even the northerners in PDP presently are always tactful when dealing with PMB. Politics is a game and it could go either way. When its not in your side, you act diplomatically and build bridges. Our brothers across the Niger must learn and respect others even when they do not agree politically. PMB will complete his tenure and when another election time comes, every region will have their opportunity again to show their political prowess. We should stop being cry babies. Truth be told Goke, the SW is the glue of this country . . . they are the most accommodating and reasonable.
If any other part of this country is as endowed, INDEPENDENT, or as blessed as the SW, Nigeria would have been Somalia 2.0. |

Or an affordable education with up-to-date facilities and expertise that can compete with global trends.

While all those 'silly items' are wrong, they account for less than 20% of our Forex demands.
Repatriation of funds and other 'technical items' (according to CBN), accounts for 30%-40% demand.
Imported refined fuel accounts for 30-40% (Which is the real travesty!).
What measures have the past governments since 1999, done to arrest the importation of agric. products, while we have arable lands and excess supply of manpower? Where are the single digit soft loans, where are the campaigns, the programs to encourage able bodied men and women to make us not only producers/consumers, but net exporters of these items?
Did we also comatose the refineries?
Or prevented government from building new ones either by PPP, or any other means?
Are we also responsible for not checkmating cross-border smuggling of fuel, and other diversion/fraud of imported fuel which accounts for roughly 30% of the 40m litres of PMS alone that we pay for on paper according to Kachikwu (I don't understand the 'dust' Buhari is 'yarning' up there)?
Stop blaming the people for failures of the government! |

The same politicians controlling 13% will stilll be the one to control 100% and you think it will solve any problem?
I repeat oil will never bring development anywhere. Like I said sometime ago, if Nigeria breaks up today, the likes of Danjuma, and IBB, and Dangotes will own more of the oil blocs and investments in the east than the sons of the soil -- there is a tribe called "the-haves", and they are always friends forever.
Innoson will prefer his son marries Dangote or Otedola's daughter than any random broad from his hood -- so much for tribalism.
While the whole country was burning for June 12, Kola Abiola was busy chasing IBB's daughter around town. "Shioor".

berrystunn: Agreed, we have to start from somewhere For me buhari need to change his economy team and also change his monetary policy to allow foreign investors. our oil markets can not import fuel because of the monetary policy too.
He should work on the institutions..from Federal level. 3 or 5
There is a system in France, where by you go and pick up a govt contract it's open for investors.. And to any company that are interested..The govt will tell you the standard and quality they want, you quote and estimate total cost, if agreed you then carry on
they will not paid even one euros for you start the contract, you will have to do its your self 100%.
When you are done, you will send your quote to them they will send there expect to confirm and send report on the quality And standard also invite your Contractor, If is not on the standard they wanted they will not paid you..
How do they kill corruption in that system? After steps of confirmation, of which you don't know who and who, when there coming to approve the job, more then 4 different groups. And they also don't know you, So even if you want to bribe, them to confirm your job, where will you start from
If you really interested to bribe. You will have to start from all the department that is in charge. Then how much will you make from the project??
Simple way to kill corruption.
That institutions stays like that to anyone that comes into that office will continue on that system. You can only add for example more policy that will help the govt not to lose money or take any risk... On Point! |
