This shield/protection/provider cld be expressed as money, male strenght or physique, male bravoda, male se.xual mantle etc depending on the context that the girl finds herself.

So if d gal papa rich, and she rich, she might not be thinking of the guy having a fat account, maybe him just coming from an influential familly with a strong name would do.

If d gal dey school and her papa hol, she might be thinking more of a clean confra boy that has the aura of protection

If the gal short small, and all her sisters and girlfriends they use hight oppress am, she might tend to go for a guy that is on the big side but with a respectable amount of cash to provide an iroko support for her

If the gal no hol, or hol small, but her papa broke wel wel plus say she dey take care of her siblings she might be thinking of a guy whose wallet is fat eneough to provide for her and her present and future family.

Its just sad that in 9ja, gals are an endangered specie without equal rights in career so I guess this might be why many tend to go for guys with fat wallets
