Wole Soyinka has spent more years in detention under different regimes because he will not keep quiet while the masses of the country are being raped by any government. He has spoken up again and he is being vilified by people who will not pause to think. The truth is always bitter. I did not cast my vote for Patience Jonathan. I voted for her husband. She is not my president, Jonathan is. If patience have any contributions to running the country, she should give it to her husband in the confines of their home. She is a wife, she is an unconstitutional being, she should not be empowered to such an extent that she is flouting the prerogative, the rights and the responsibilities of the governor of any state, in Rivers, Lagos or in any other state.

When other women make the choice to step up they will get our votes.

souldust: i think the biggest reason feminism have not being able to achieve its legitimate aims is that feminists are most times confrontational and abusive. Sometimes you hear them say that the man does not matter! But tell me who likes to be looked down upon?

When you are being confrontational with the man and insult him, you make him not to see the sense in what you are saying. You make him do what every other living thing would do- to get defensive! This is the first line of action of any animal that feels threatened.

fact is, for women to achieve their legitimate aims, the man has to support her and see reasons with her. If not, then the human race will continue to experience a slow pace development in equality.

Let me be fair to feminists and say that i understand why they get confrontational. I mean, if any animal experiences injustice of the harshest and senseless type, that animal is bound to get confrontational.
