ifekayodee: 30 Lawmakers on a state sponsored trip is questionable, too much to pay for having a smooth romance with the state assembly.^^^ strangest: yes, its true... they went for a training session at the International Leadership Training InstituteDoes this not make any sense to you? |
Sweet Savior, bless us ere we go; Thy Word into our minds instill, And make our lukewarm hearts to glow With lowly love and fervent will. . Chorus: Through life’s long day and death’s dark night, O gentle Jesus, be our Light. . The day is done, its hours have run, And Thou hast taken count of all, The scanty triumphs grace hath won, The broken vow, the frequent fall. . Chorus |
Even if Brazil goes out at this stage, they have given us great games so far. Imagine, I just realized I've been sitting on the edge of my sofa since the kickoff. I wish Chile wins anyways, but I so much appreciate the Brazilian team. |
He has not been contacted yet. Will surely update here if I get any more info on that. |

asha 80: make some people no see wetin u write oooYou mean people who do not recognize strategic sustainable development and impartial governance? Bring 'em on! I'm in my village at this moment and I can feel Obi's dividend of democracy in our roads, primary and secondary schools, our hospitals et al. My community is a small and almost unknown outside the state. It has also remained a PDP stronghold for a long time now and we proved it during the last elections as PDP won my town. Yet, as I went home last week, work was going on as I saw asphalt being laid on an ongoing road construction. Buildings being added to an existing hospital while renovating the already existing buildings, another road construction already commenced! I really can't list them all but I might be posting pictures by January when I will have the time. New blocks of classrooms for 2 different primary schools that I saw already completed, 1 of the primary schools which I'm sure was built before the '50s (and which I attended in the early '90s) was totally brought down and I saw work earnestly ongoing for a whole new school! I also saw completed renovations of some old classroom blocks in another primary school. Our girls sec. sch got new hostel, kitchen and a completion of a giant 2-storey classroom block which has remained uncompleted since I was a kid. Oh, I almost forgot our rebranded and funded vigilante and their brand new patrol vehicle in addition to the old one... I can swear this is the first time in my whole life I am witnessing such govt presence in my town. May God bless and reward Mr. Peter Obi! Long live Anambra State!! |

all4naija: It seem you still haven't understood the point. Whether a town is located in the hinterland or near another big city it is a town. There is no need for the adjective to make it look as though village can be addressed as town for you to excusably post town brick buildings to deceive others here, not me. I am smarter than that. You are the one who seem not to understand. All 177 communities in Anambra state are called towns regardless of location or how urbanized they are. So, a town here does not necessarily mean a developed or urban area. We call the developed towns 'townships' or 'cities'. You can as well use urban for them. I don't know about other places, but in Anambra state a village is a subdivision of a town/community ...In every town/community, there are villages (Onitsha, Awka and Nnewi all have villages) So any pic taken from Anambra is from a town. Know what you mean when you mention villages and towns, else you can use township or urban to represent the already developed communities. Don't get it twisted man. |
My village pic loading.... ![]() |
all4naija: You are very funny. You are trying hard to skillfully deceive your readers here and I can easily spot that. You said 'rural towns' while we are discussing about village houses. It means you cannot differentiate town from village in this argument.I do not understand what u call villages and rural towns. •In Anambra State, we have 21 LGAs, 177 communities (177 'towns' as we call them). While some towns have more villages, others have less. My own town has 10 villages. •Nnewi North is a one-town LG and has 4 villages while Nnewi South is all rural with about 11 towns. •Awka is the only urban town in Awka South LG which has 8 other towns. Awka North has 10 towns all rural. •Onitsha North is equally a one-town LG same as Onitsha South which has Fegge as the only town (both LGs are urban). • The now urban Nkpor which some people usually regard as part of Onitsha or its extension is found on parts of Obosi, Nkpor and Ogidi lands because of their common boundary. •The rest of the towns in Anambra are mainly regarded as rural towns. •With recent developments in the state, some rural towns are coming up as urban. I hope you have learnt a thing or two as per what Anambrarians call towns and villages. Thank you |
A friend is also called for today's interview at GRA Ikeja. Was yours today as well? How did it go? |
all4naija: Not until proven otherwise by those who claim there are no mud houses in the Igbo villages the fact of the matter, at this point in time, remains there are mud houses in Igbo villages.Yes, there are mud houses in igbo villages. Oya start rejoicing. Thank you |

all4naija: I can see you are trying to bring in tribalism in any means possible into the argument when you have no facts to support you and your colleagues points. The truth of the matter is that you are all running away from posting Arial view of those villages to ascertain your claims. There is no photo of Arial view yet to be seen around this thread.Cool down, many of us are yet to travel to our various villages for the holidays. |

Road Construction: www.elombah.com/index.php/articles-mainmenu/16437-peter-obi-s-achievement-on-infrastructural-development Education: https://www.ngrguardiannews.com/index.php/news/national-news/137694-world-bank-to-adopt-anambra-s-education-module Obi speaks on achievements: www.247ureports.com/apga-government-achievements-in-anambra-state-peter-obi/ Health: (As at 2012) Obi had promised and fullfiled the accreditation of two hospitals – Anambra State Teaching Hospital, Awka and Onitsha General Hospital while Ekwulobia General Hospital is yet to be accredited. Even at this level, the New Teaching Hospital which also have had concurrent accreditation of its College of Medicine, would now boast of 18 new giant buildings that accommodates the House Officers’ Quarters, General Outpatient Department, Consultants’ Clinic, Pathology and Mortuary Building, Pharmacology Building, Administrative Block, Laboratory Complex, Male, Female, Special and Children’s wards as well as College of Medicine Building Pharmaceutical stores, Catering building, among others. Already, 12 40-feet containers of hospital equipment have been delivered to the hospital for proper functioning of the entire departments. It is worthwhile to know that the partners who are offering this support monitor what goes on. The head of one of our partners and the EU Ambassador to Nigeria, HE, David MAcRae said that “European Union has always emphasized on proper management of money, that is why it is important to have people of high integrity as we do in Anambra State” In the course of achieving these giant strides, the state government adopted the MDG goals as its focal point and the Anambra State Integrated Development Strategy, (ANIDS) as a vehicle to arrive to its destination. |
all4naija: Maybe! As most of you said they are wealthy people who can afford expensive things! [s]I still think there are more mud houses in Igbo villages than brick's.[/s] Is the topic about wealthy people affording expensive things like helicopters... or rather Igbo people's houses in their villages? How about, we can't afford such "expensive things" but we can build good houses in our village homes... The hate in you is eating deep into your brains, and UOENO it! Continue singing us your "arial-view" chorus while you keep getting worse. |

Can't wait till end of this month when Mr. all4naija must've been astonished with the images he'll see here. You really need a visit to my state Anambra. |
all4naija: I am patiently waiting to see the beautiful pictures. I mean Arial-view images that can be supported with facts. Not the bogus single-house owned by a wealthy Igbo person in a secluded area.Aerial view images taken from a helicopter or where? Pls answer |
And you dont think those buildings are a matter of priority?! Have you seen those structures in Amanbra State?! From Onitsha market buildings to the ones inside Amwabia/Awka, they all look like this. The problems include; 1. Poor Hygiene 2. Building integrity 3. Fire Hazard 4. HSE hazard 5. Functionality 6. Asthetics. Over 85% of those buildings are way below code. Is it until people start dying that we will realize its urgent?! On a side note:: Why are they all wearing APGA fabrics?! Why is the Governor using state fund to promote Partisan politics?! Is it APGA that paid for the cars?!
No, I dont think those buildings are a matter of priority for now. There are more pressing needs that need attention. Besides, we do not have such a large purse as a state. Is the vehicle wearing APGA look? Does Peter Obi or anyone not have the right to wear anything of their choice to any occasion? |
