So what, if Jesus' name was mentioned 25 times in the Quran?

Mohammad (PBUH) didn't have to be addressed many times by name since the book was revealed upon him. God has addressed Mohammad (PBUH) as YOU many many many times in the Quran.

If you're ranking Prophets/people based on the number of times that a name appears in the Quran, then many people are far above Jesus (PBUH)....

Mary (mother of Jesus). 32 times

Nuh. 43 times

Ibrahim. 69 times

Moses. 136 times

Even the famously notorious Pharaoh, aka Firaun 74 times!

Besides, of the 25 times that Jesus was mentioned, he was called "Jesus, SON OF MARY" 15 times! How will a son of man be God? That means mother worships her own son! Only God is worthy of worship, and that's why He begets not, nor is He begotten.

Quran confirms below that Jesus (PBUH) was a Prophet.

Allah made it clear that Jesus was His messanger, and that He (Allah) is ONE God
"O People of the Scripture, do not commit excess in your religion or say about Allah except the truth. The Messiah, Jesus, the son of Mary, was but a messenger of Allah and His word which He directed to Mary and a soul [created at a command] from Him. So believe in Allah and His messengers. And do not say, "Three"; desist - it is better for you. Indeed, Allah is but one God. Exalted is He above having a son. To Him belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth. And sufficient is Allah as Disposer of affairs (Quran 4:171)

Islam provides a clear explanation of how Jesus was a "Word" from God. But first the process of human procreation must be understood. The Might of God is behind everything. Whenever God decides to do something, like giving life or causing death, He says the word "Be" and it happens ("kun Faya Kun" in Arabic)

"It is He who gives life and causes death; and when He decrees a matter, He but says to it, ‘Be,’ and it is." (Quran 40:68)

Human procreation happened by union between male and female reproductive cells in addition to the will of God. Since Jesus was born without a father, he was not conceived by the male sperm cells. Instead his creation, similar to Adam, is solely attributed to the Word of God, ‘Be.’ God says. This is what is meant by word "from" God

Jesus was a spirit, a soul created by God, brought by Gabriel, an angel of God, and breathed into Mary.

He was being referred to as God's spirit as a mark of Honour and NOT because he was God, otherwise we should regard Adam as God also, since God also gives Adam this characteristic of being His spirit. God said when He ordered the angels to prostrate to Adam upon his creation.:

....... Allah made it clear in the verse above that everything Jesus did was with His (Allah's) permission, Jesus could not have done any of those without Allah's will. Nicodemus confirms this in bible when he spoke to Jesus after he performed miracles


John 3:2
He (Nicodemus) came to Jesus at night and said, "Rabbi, we know that you are a teacher who has come from God. [size=14pt] For no one could perform the signs you are doing if God were not with him." [/size]

86. How shall Allah guide a people who disbelieved after their belief and after they bore witness that the Messenger (Muhammad ) is true and after clear proofs had come unto them? And Allah guides not the people who are Zalimun (polytheists and wrong-doers).

87. They are those whose recompense is that on them (rests) the Curse of Allah, of the angels, and of all mankind.

88. They will abide therein (Hell). Neither will their torment be lightened, nor will it be delayed or postponed (for a while).

[/b] 89. Except for those who repent after that and do righteous deeds. Verily, Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful. [b]

90. Verily, those who disbelieved after their Belief and then went on increasing in their disbelief (i.e. disbelief in the Qur'an and in Prophet Muhammad ) - never will their repentance be accepted [because they repent only by their tongues and not from their hearts]. And they are those who are astray.

91. Verily, those who disbelieved, and died while they were disbelievers, the (whole) earth full of gold will not be accepted from anyone of them even if they offered it as a ransom. For them is a painful torment and they will have no helpers.

Before you single out verse 90 and lie that Allah will not forgive a Muslim who denounces his faith and then returns to Allah in repentance (like your colleagues have done many times), I have boldened verse 89 where Allah says he will forgive those who repents after that

You and your dad were Muslims and converted, fine. There are people who were christians too but they converted to Islam, it happens both ways and will continue like that. You say you're not forcing anyone, but the way you go about your evangelism can only be described as subtle force.
