I can't even defend Pep when it comes to away games in the CL. I've always said He needs to be a bit more conservative in his approach to them. Having said that, I know fully well Pep is an idealist and taking that approach would be going against the grain as far He is concerned so i'd rather judge Him on the tie as a whole or should I say His record in the CL.

2 CL Titles and getting to Numerous Semis is a record not to be taken lightly. Coaches like Conte and Klopp would kill to be just half as succesful as He has been in Europe.

You can judge him by any parameter you like but the numbers don't lie. Since he left Barca the only teams he has beaten away are Basel and Arsenal.

Yh I have to admit Klopp got his tactic spot on yesterday whereas Josep did not. However I won't read much into it as it is just one game. Also as we've seen time and again, in a cup competition, anything is possible.

The problem with Pep is that in every away CL game against quality opposition, especially since he's left Barca! He always gets his tactics wrong!!!! It's not about just one game. This has been the story over and over again.

He's nice with steamrolling the league but as a Bayern fan I know wetin my eye see against Madrid. Barca and Atleti in the first leg where we barely were able to create scoring chances never mind scoring a goal. .

Of course we usually see a blitzkrieg in the second leg from his sides but more often than not the damage has already been done in the first leg.
It is only under Pep that you pray the first leg is at home not away because you know you are already at a disadvantage since his teams cannot buy an away goal to save their lives

No screens, no plays, no cutting, etc. Do they even realize they have Steven Adams? How potent will it be if they run heavy on high pick and roll with Westbrook and PG or Melo? I bet Melo's fat asss would have a problem setting picks, rolling or cutting back doors. They'll get higher percentage FG attempts doing this but all they do is take turns on offense and think that's teamwork. but what do i know?

The offense as a whole is badly run I agree. The way they use Steven Adams varies from game to game and they could do better. My problem with OKC is the fact that their additions have not been complimentary and this is probably why their offense does not seem to work most times. Oladipo, Melo, George. Russ all have one thing in common: They cannot function without the ball in their hands. When the best 3 players in your team are like that then you are going to have problems late in games

That's why throwing stars at problems instead of recognizing their fit is hurting a lot of teams. Everybody talks about the one Superteam that works! Nobody talks about the 10 that fail

Still I think it would be a bit unfair to blame Westbrook for Melo's cold shooting. He's basically setting for the 3's he's never had a history of making and is a complete defensive sieve.

I get what you mean but we were pretty much losing today's game till James came on. At this stage of the season form is everything and James has been our most productive midfielder when fit.

As for Vidal the Goretzka buy was the writing on the wall. Something tells me Vidal would get an extension though. He has his days where he is untouchable
