You guys should not overhype this Thiago kid to oblivion oh! He might be having a purple patch but definitely not on Cesc's level yet not even close though I don't doubt that he may surpass him since he is surrounded by a better player and managed by a better coach

Abeg who don go and who still remain? E je ka mo awon to ku.
Talking about transfers I don't get why Wenger is adamant on not selling a player on the last year of his contract for over 20mil while Cesc with a multi-year contract is being haggled for by a team who is clearly not willing to pay the boy's worth! In today's transfer market Cesc should not go for less than 50mil jeez if only Daniel Levy was chairman! If Modric is valued at 35mil Cesc should go for 60

As for una wey talk say Walcott no intelligent I SMH at yall 9goals and 8 assists is not a sign of intelligence abi?

And there lies the problem Senor Debosky can we agree on the terms 'unproven' and 'untested' cos if we cannot then perhaps that might be the dealbreaker! Also i need you to clarify your stand do you insist that neither Cesc nor Nasri would leave??

Anyway make we use some gbedu cool body

Very un-Nadallike i must say or maybe Djokovic just raised his game a notch i think its more of the latter! The kind of balls i saw Djoker return that day had my jaws to the floor!! Lets see if he can keep this kind of tennis up! The US open is up and as we all know the hardcourt is his favorite surface and you have to wonder can he be stopped this year? I also think King Rafa needs to put a little umph in his serves

A-40 if you wanna play that game: Nasri is going Gervinho is coming grin. Abeg satellite reception is still clear grin.

Seriously though, no one can blame AW for this Nasri situation. Nasri was presented with a contract extension last summer, that is 2 years into a 4year deal. When he had not even started 'jamming'. He stalled, played great until new year and started playing Houdini with negotiations.

I still expect him to sign a new deal though contrary to popular opinion. Thatrs cause I expect we will add a little something something untop the 90k he is being offered.

However it should be said, he has put himself in the Adebayor situation. God help him if his or even our collective form is anything like the latter half of last season.
Thats the funny part! With Arsenal you never know! Even the Gervinho might not end up coming at last.
He was presented with a new deal last season?? I doubt that could u jog my memory?

Ohh well Djokovic oozed class today i must say he had Tsonga playing on his terms and i knew it would be damn near impossible for Tsonga to do what he did against Federer after two sets down

Why is it now either or? I thought you cats had concluded we were losing both? cheesy

Let's place the bet then - Nasri is all of a sudden 'proven' because he did well in half a season.  undecided

Just what is the 'system' you're talking about? If you can't see any changes, then you need to visit specsavers - the mere fact that Arsenal is belatedly going on an Asian tour shows that things are not continuing as usual at Arsenal - to what extent thing have changed remains to be seen, but it is highly presumptuous to claim things are still the same.

Or are you now privy to some information we don't have? huh

One more thing - I am not 'hoping' things change - I am waiting to see what pans out before taking a stand. Y'all who believe the sky is falling can go ahead.

Rubbish - people are jumping off the cliff because skysports invented a rumour (that has been denied by Citeh) that they wanted to sign Nasri. Cesc leaving is simply a matter of time, he will go one day, be it this season or sometime in the future. Anyone oblivious of that fact needs help.

In both cases I see nothing to cry and wail about, provided there are replacements purchased. It will be near insane to be wringing my hands about the players when we don't even know they are going to leave.

If/when they leave, then the moaning can start, but right now, anyone can type a rubbish article and once it's negative y'all swallow it like a jizz loving ho.  cheesy
You are still not addressing the issue! I said marquee players would go and unproven or untested players would be signed at best. Nasri may not be world-class but compared to Wenger's next signing he would be. If you are game then lets rumble!! Scared money dont make none

Hmm so everything is now okay because we are going to Asia? You must be having a laugh! The system of constantly losing your better talents and having to restart almost every season for the past five

You do realize Nasri holds the ace and if he doesnt agree to a new deal we would have another Flamini situation? All he has to do is manage the pay and get a free transfer and get a forklift of dough at the end of next season

Anyways where im standing now is where you would probably be in two months time. Like ive said previously Arsenal fans are always in different time-zones mentally! You will get there we've seen it before

@A-40

What is going on at Arsenal at present is beyond Arsene, it is even in a lot of instances beyond even the board in my opinion, at the end of the day reality is what it is, we are where we are cos the club chose to stand for certain things, if we have to suffer awhile for that so be it. The rumor is that City are offering Nasri 180k (and you know they can offer him that if they can afford to give Yaya Toure 250k), where exactly is Arsenal supposed to get that from when our highest earner is on 120k and we flogged Ade off ASAP once he went above 100k? and do you honestly think Ramsey and Wilshere's agent won't come knocking on Arsene's door for increases in their wages if we even go as high as 150k just to please him?  undecided

I also wouldn't mourn Clichy, he has been the weakest link in our defence for the past 3 seasons like Ifedisky said and something tells me even the club want him gone. Cesc's situation is a complex one further complicated by Barcelona's behaviour so I wont even go there, the boy has tried enough and leaves with my blessings if he goes, no one can say he hasnt respected the club enough. The only person I'll be really sad (and angry with him) at his leaving is Nasri but 20m could ease that a bit if invested wisely.

Its the combined effect of 2 players (who have been massively influential to the team over the past 2 seasons) leaving at the same time that gets to me, that is definitely not the way to progress particularly if yu're selling arguably your best player in the season to direct competition like City, even psychologically speaking how would people like Wishere feel taking to the pitch next season against city and lining up against Nasri who they all know was the best player this season? wouldn't the game be lost even before the ref blows?  undecided

As things stand Arsene will have to find even more strength because he is the only one giving the whole structure at Arsenal a semblance of progression. In the same time that we are now about losing what you cld call the 2nd generation of players since we last won a trophy, Scholes is just retiring and Giggs will still play one more year, where the hell is the stability to build a platform to win trophies?  undecided
Not really!! This is essentially Arsene's team these are the boys he groomed and over-pampered made excuses for instead of holding them accountable and he is now reaping the fruits in full! Which is why a no-hoper like Denilson would be handing in transfer requests even before getting any offers even an under-performing Clichy stalled on a new contract! Nasri had half a season of brilliance and he wants to be paid like Messi. This is the price he has to pay for gathering money hungry mercenaries from all corners of the globe

No one has been sold - no one. If you would rather trust speculation, then be prepared to hear that even the Emirates has been sold to Barca and will be shipped out next week.  cheesy

Arsenal must have some of the most prone-to-suggestion, gullible and neurotic fans on the face of the planet.

While some are treating moves to Citeh as the gospel truth, Citeh themselves have denied making any approach for Nasri.

Will you all take back this rants if those players eventually stay and players are signed? huh
Take what back? I be 2face? Why not place a bet player? One of either Cesc or Nasri would leave and an untested and unproven would be signed at best. We have seen this before

Talking about gullible i dont know what is more gullible than believing things would change for the better when the same hopeless and clueless system is still in effect

Fans are not reacting merely for the sake of it it is because its happened too many times! Jeez and here was i thinking the scales had fallen from your eyes. Apparently Wenger has upgraded his Universal Mind control system

Wenger has lost it patapata and anyone who doesn't want us to end up like River Plate would pray fervently for his exit. A team that is not yet guaranteed UCL group stage footie is not only looking to lose marquee performers but tentative in getting replacements

He is probably in that final phase all accomplished athletes get to, so dont take the shine from him. he is still the best to grace the Wimbledon, Roland Garros etc. His technique is unequalled. Age just seems not to do justice to him anymore. i still respect it, his opponents still respect him too. One thing i am sure of is he will win another GS.
I strongly doubt that as his stranglehold has been broken on all surfaces

Steffi Graff had no competition most especially when Sele's got stabbed (Novotna, Sanchez or Muscle woman Mary Jo were no competition), Martina was all about power just like venus and had no rival the moment Evert disappeared from the scene! Serena covers more ground when playing than Graff, Martina or Seles put together when playing, Yes she hits the ball harder as well, I would like to see how everyone from BJ King to Steffi Graff would perform during in this era, knowing that Venus serves sometimes at 135 mph with a lighter ball than the one used in the 90's[/quote],
On the contrary Sanchez Vicario was the biggest thorn in her side Sabbatini too

Martina Hingis to Serena? Even Graf? That's a treasonable Felony. Who are the players now sef that woulda been competition for Steffi? Save for Serena. Abeg oh no compare that Golden era of female tennis to the sham WTA is now abi how would players like Jankovic or Wozniacki even get rated in That era?
