I wonder why we sometimes suspend reasoning and rationality in the name of religion. Christians are part of the society, a working society enables them "serve" their God in the best way possible, they have the right to demand good governance and accountability from a government to which they pay tax. This question should not even arise in the first place, but since you asked, Yes they should protest peacefully and ask for what is rightfully theirs from the government. NB: I am a Christian and I will continue to protest against bad governance. |
elvee:Maybe you should try MTN, so many pple had complains about glo network. |
Just heard this morning from an employee of NNPC that successful candidates have already been contacted and about to go for induction. Has anyone in this Forum been called? N.B: The guy sounded certain about the information he gave me. I seem to want to believe him. |
Hi people, Nice to be back here after a long while, I got my first Job through this forum some 3 years back and I am here again. Got invited for the NNPC Interview Graduate Trainee HR. Interview date is August 12. Anyone been Interviewed in this category? Hope it went well? and how long did it last? Wish us all the best in our careers. |
Good day landers, I want to know if anybody from Port Harcourt/Benin zone has been called for the second stage of Guiness test. Kindly reply my post if you have been called. I need to know so I can take my mind off them and stop hoping they will call. If not, let me keep hoping. Thanks landers. |
Neemat and others you guys can attend the test. I gate crashed in PHC, I ended up scoring highest and the good news is I got hired today. I have gone for my medicals. Gate crash if you can take the chances. There is no offence in that, so far you can be patient, you will be allowed to write. I almost gave up myself on the test day but I was adviced to be a little patient and Today I got hired. |
Hi Landers, is there anyone that knows what has brought about the delay in the process? We had the first interview almost three months ago and none of us have been contacted since then. If there is anyone that has an info, kindly help out. We are getting weary. ![]() |
I meant U.B.A |
U.B.A is calling all those with OND and HND within Port Harcourt and are still looking for jobs for an interview at their UST branch tomorrow. I applied yesterday and was called this evening to attend the interview tomorrow at 10am. I was also yold that it is open to all and I should inform as many as would be interested. You are all welcome for the interview. Come formally dressed and with your C.V |
Thanks for the info, I applied yesterday as I saw it and Ive been called today for an interview tomorrow. The bank is U.B.A |
Dont bother if you are not invited just go to the venue, its worth the try. i did in Port Harcourt and I am on the final stage of interview with bank PHb. |
Fellow Nairalanders, wonders shall never end in this our country. In fact I seem not to understand anymore what we job seekers need to do to get jobs. The first contact was at the test venue where we were made to sign a bond, seeing we had no choice if we ever wanted to have a chance to work with them, so I did. Then came the interview, I got the invitation a night before the interview and I was in Port Harcourt, so I had to take a flight to Lagos the following morning just to ensure I didnt miss the interview (Imagine how many application letters I would have typed with 17K) I waited to be called for the second stage of interview and did not get any calls from them, so I decided to call their HR unit. What they told me was that they dont employ people older than 24 years anymore and that is why I have not been called for the second interview. Should we now say a 25 year old is to old to be a fresh grad or a job seeker?. I am confused. Maybe what they want us to do now is lie about our ages. Anyway, I just said i should inform Nairalanders about my plight with them. |
I got the mail too. Please nairalanders if you do have the details dont spare any part of it. Your info will be appreciated. |
Why not call the Mr Stephen Kalu whose number was written in the invitational text message sent you. I had mine earlier than you did. |
I think people get it all wrong, the NIM-NYSC program is one that is worth it. I have not seen any professional body that does not require induction fees and also yearly subscription fees. I think this is fair. The NIM program for corpers is to prepare young graduates for what is ahead. "Everybody, no nmatter which course you studied will one day want to be a manager and NIM could be a factor to be considered in your choice in the near future" This is purely my own point of view and thats why I wrote the exam when I served and I passed all the 8 courses. As for the person who registered and did not write, maybe he had so much money to spend then. I would advice that corp members not be discouraged. Nigeria has gottn to an era of professionalism and who knows? NIM may just be your saving grace in the future. It could be what will make the difference between you and others in a contest for a managerial position in your place of work in the future soon to come. I will also advice that people should try to acquire as many professional qualifications as they can. Who knows which one will count? |

Scolari has been confirmed Chelsea coach. I guess that spells good times ahead for the "BLUES". "The Brazilian was one of the favourites to succeed Avram Grant in the Stamford Bridge hotseat but the timing of his appointment has come as a huge surprise. Scolari is currently managing Portugal at Euro 2008 and was not expected to make a decision about his future until after the tournament. A statement from Stamford Bridge read: "Chelsea Football Club is delighted to confirm that Luiz Felipe Scolari will be the club's new manager from July 1, 2008. "Felipe has great qualities. He is one of the world's top coaches with a record of success at country and club level, he gets the best out of a talented squad of players and his ambitions and expectations match ours. He was the outstanding choice. "Out of respect for his current role as Head Coach of the Portuguese national team, and to ensure minimum disruption to this work, there will be no further comment from Chelsea FC nor from Felipe about his new role until his employment with us commences.""
