God has always retained His position as the almighty... He has been the almighty before you and I were ever conceived... regardless of whether you get a visa or not. If i never read a bible, one would think God existed solely to grant Nigerians everything they ask for - especially visas to escape the hell on earth they created with their own hands. Good luck.
Nice response baba. God is God in himself

You should have quoted me with your reply. Anyway it's a good program. The only issue is that you need to identify a faculty member who is willing to work with you. If you have that already it's as good as having the admission. Cheers

Oga no need for this. The guy was not hatch na, all I could read from his post is he's trying to tell you not to consider it at all.

What I can read from your question is that you are looking for who would show you how to beat the system because the answer to your question is on the social security card.

If you think you stipend and the money you have would not be enough, look for ways to cut your expenses. Those with experience will always come off like Femi. When the say the immigration dynamics in the US is changing fast and unfavorable to non-citizens, it is not a joke. It is real. They are just tightening holes that are not even loopholes.

Please in case you are not aware, run away from whoever is offering to get you jobs under the table, they'll rope you tomorrow. This is no Nigeria, once you were stamped in, they are monitoring every of your moves. PLEASE STAY LEGAL, DON'T EVEN TAKE ANY BENEFIT.

Well said man. I see nothing wrong in what Femi said

Be informed, he's using part of his salary to manage "O'YES" cadets. And also be informed that he never reduced anybody salary but a modulated salaries of 100%, 75%, and 50% in agreement with labour and stakeholders. He's even paying N20 minimum wage. If you are not politically blindfolded, ask a sincere Osunite that may be this started during PMB or before GEJ left. Actually he chewed more than he can, swallow all in good intentions but our economy failure since 2013 after the oil price crash in international market resulted to allocation reduction and leads to modulated salaries and wanted to complete at least 70% of the infrastructural projects for posterity. thanks man! i definitely am going to practice.
if i am not all in yo business ,can I ask which universities accepted and rejected you ( merely for reference purposes )
and was the vocabs you studied helpful (did they appear on the test at all ?)
No pressure man.
Illinois Institute of Technology - admit
Uttyler - admit
Virginia Tech - admit
Western Michigan - admit
Notre dame - reject

The vocabs were useful, I saw some of them in the test. And learning them make me feel confident sort of. All the best man

yes sir, i am an electrical and computer engineering graduate with a cgpa of 3.25/4 and 2 years of experience. i am planning on applying for a meng(non thesis masters) in computer science(with specialization in data science ) in canada.
there is always that fear of not being accepted by your favorite school ,thus wanted to know if my score is really bad and how i can improve.
bzw on my last test i did not see all the vocab i studied (baroon ,magoosh ) and the quant section had some difficult probability questions.

Oh ok. 3.25 out of 4 is dope man. I had 306 in gre, 4.58/5. I always have that feeling you have now but I still applied. I got 3 out of 5 admit. Since you've registered, I think verbal is the ish here. I used 500 essential and 500 advanced words for my vocabs. For the probability problem, the best way to learn probability is to practice more questions therefore exposing you to more scenarios. You can use the 5lb problem book for probability. Also, you can use magoosh video for probability. Hit me up if I miss anything out.

hey guys! how is it going ?
i took the GRE last year this time around and scored v:153 Q:152 (305 )
life went on and I've registered to take the test again on Oct 09 .
can yall throw your opinion if my score was ever bad for a meng program ? and how do I improve it ? I have about 2 month until the test , I hope its enough time to prepare
thanks in advance ,

I assume your meng means a non thesis masters. If that's right, I think your score is ok for the program. On the other hand I wouldn't be so sure until I know what your other profiles like cgpa and job experience are like. Cheers

It depends on the course. I may mention some schools and they might not have your course. Try lousiana state university, embry riddle aeronautical university,Prescott, university of maryland, Baltimore but you have to mail the graduate coordinator and ask for application fee waiver

1. Virginia Tech
2. UT college Station
3. UC Berkley

I think you need to research. Your research would count when you're applying. There are some schools that accept minimum of 2.75 which your CGPA meets. This is also the time to start mailing graduate coordinators and potential supervisors.

Cheers and goodluck!

Well said. Some schools accept 2.75. Just dig deeper. And make sure you ace your gre
