ababda:I mean even after it became a independent country from Egypt, Prior to that British left Sudan and the first President in a united Egypt and Sudan was Sudanse himself. Maybe, one day the countries will reunite again, it will be better for both nations. |
As far as which country got their independence first in Subsaharan Africa,(Ghana or Sudan) my answer, it was obviously Sudan even before it became a different country from Egypt. |
Unforunately this is the young generation. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-CwUYekLRDM Summation, There is no particular look or face for all Northern Sudanese, some look similar to nilotes, other look very ethiopians, other look similar to the ancient egyptians and nubians, and some look arab. Northern Sudan has every represenation of the African Continent beside Khoe-San. Then again nubian singer muhammed wardi do share some khoe-san characteristics. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yoJ7li-7Zwo Finally, that is the reality of NOrthern Sudan. |
How do Northern Sudanese look like, there is no particular look, because the people in so called NOrthern Sudan have a diversity of different appearances, like everyone else in the world. However, like everywhere in Africa you have different tribes. One of the largest tribes in Northern Sudan is the Jaa'lin over 5 million people. The Northern Sudanese Reality. Jaa'lin tribe. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=duTaW4Wb2v0&feature=player_embedded What race will you catogorize them as? ![]() The video is before the wedding ceremony, the groom family must display their courage and valor by being symbolically whip, before the wedding ceremony. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2kvyKI_V9VQ&feature=related https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Dlo-hBHZYUQ&feature=related https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LC4za3tSVQo https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0w5RZC-5JNg&feature=related AA in Northern Sudan: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kmlIXrF0HU4&feature=related |
I have to agree somewhat with tpia on this one. Yes, i am northern Sudanese and Coptic as well. Should Northern Sudan consider itself part of Sub saharan Africa, geographically speaking we are. However, culturally Northern Sudan have more in common with the her neighbor above. In fact the first President of then united Egypt and Sudan was actually technically Northern Sudanese Muhammad Naguib. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Muhammad_Naguib

There is only hair textures, not black people hair or white people hair, but different texture hair, which varies among people. |
More examples.
|
redsun:There is no such thing as black people hair or white people hair, there is only human hair . It ranges from coarse, straight, curly or wavy or mixture of the textures. I am from northern sudan, and i see people both dark and light with all kinds of different hair textures. I also understand certain ethnicities in mainly northern nigeria exhibit these same charactistics as well. Here are some examples.

Dolemite:You are the smartest person on here, they don't get the full picture. |
Dolemite: I hate to say this but i agree with everything you said, and you are not being racist you are a patriot of your race and tribe. As I am as well. |
Some of us laugh at the ignorance from some members from your community, however we also realize that many of your community is searching for their ancestrial origins, therefore some of us give you a past for your ignorance or lack of knowledge of Africas diverse population. |
However, i do have some issues whenever a AA or maybe other Africans make comments in some videos from Sudan. He is a list of a few interesting comments by members of mainly AA community. ![]() I am a black woman, and I know that these people over there that are on this film are not of us. They look Arab, Iraqian, Iranian which are not us. We look likwe the Hausa, fulani, and the Mali tribes. WE ARE NOT THOSE PEOPLE. They maybe imposters also. anitaalford They are dark like us black folks, but why their hair not nappy like ours? I am an AfRAkan. I am aware that there are yam-colored, genetically-pure AfRAkans. I am also aware of the amalgamation that occurred between genetically-pure AfRAkans and straight-haired (FUR) primates who are a result of a genetic mutation known today as Caucasians. Some Caucasians are dark and some are pale. This amalgamation produced the mongrels residing all over North AfRAka and parts of East AfRAka. They are Mulattoes |
As far as myself a North African person, African Americans is not on our collective radar, besides immaterial things such as entertainment. We have enough problems in North Africa to be concerned about the AA community. When i speak of North Africa, i refering to nile valley countries specifically Northern Sudan and Egypt, which is going through some extreme cultural and revolutionary changes. In other words, we have our own probems to content with instead of worrying about a group of people that does not have any relationship to with us. Needless to say, your government policies throughout North Africa and the middle east is full of contradictions, and many people don't trust your government, however this does not mean they don't like individual Americans. We are smart enough to realize to separate the government from the people. |

Here is a hausa video, I think the lady is probably tuareg or shuwa arab and the guy is fulani extraction, do he looks like the average igbo or yoruba. This is a nigerian video. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_8z41Ft6a3s&feature=channel_video_title Does the guy in 0:28-0:32 looks like your average ibo or yoruba, If i may ask? Your statement was all nigerians look basically alike, i beg to differ. It is like saying that all sudanese look basically the same, but as we knows their is a great difference from north and south sudan. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=duTaW4Wb2v0&feature=player_embedded north sudan https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y4EUL8xDlkE south sudan do we look alike as well, by your logic. I have to admit it is a contrast in sudan, but in nigeria case you may have individuals from different groups that may resemble each others, but do you logically believe that is the case for everyone in the group, i notice that the fulanis are more varied than southern groups in your country, indeed the people you posted, look no different than the yoruba or igbo, in which i agree, but does that apply to all fulanis obviously not. In other words, nt everyone looks alike. I must admit the little girl look like a typical Northern Sudanese, which destroy the myth that all nigerians look alike. |
h Ikengawo:the point is you may have some individual among them that may look like that, which is uncommon to the other ethnic groups in nigeria. I am wondering how may yoruba look similar to that little girl and man?
