Politics › Buhari Meets Jonathan’s Loyalists In Paris by abacusCm(op): 3:20pm On Feb 20, 2015 |
The Presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Muhammadu Buhari, may have held a secret meeting last night with some loyalists of President Goodluck Jonathan in Paris, sources said from the French capital.
Buhari left Nigeria on Thursday morning officially to hold meetings with key members of the British political class and interact with some global institutions.
But sources said he might have gone to Paris first to meet with some close allies of Jonathan who are seeking reassurance that they won’t be jailed by a Buhari presidency.
It was learnt that Bola Tinubu, an APC leader, two Nigerian former heads of state and a wealthy Lebanese family with extensive business interests in Nigeria may have been part of the people brokering the deal in Paris during a meeting on Thursday night.
The meeting was arranged by a foreign power in Nigeria that seems to have written off President Jonathan.
The negotiations, it was learnt, are based on the fear in Jonathan’s circle that Buhari will try and convict all of the top people in the Jonathan administration who are known to have stolen a lot of cash from the nation’s treasury.
It was learnt that Buhari and the top leadership of APC may be considering amnesty for some of them if he is eventually elected on 28 March.
The discussions are referred to as the Brazillian model, a type of deal where the president offers amnesty and asks the thieves to bring home the money stolen and invest it in the economy. |

Politics › Re: Drug Crimes: APC Leader, Bolatinubu Still A Suspect In The U.S by abacusCm(m): 5:09pm On Feb 18, 2015 |
Emytexboy: Drug Crimes: APC Leader, Bola Tinubu Still A Suspect In The U.S Despite his failing health and political reputation in Nigeria as the national leader of All Progressive Congress, APC, former Lagos State Governor, Ahmed Bola Tinubu, is still being monitored, questioned and interrogated frequently upon arrival in the United States over drug crimes committed in that country. Tinubu was indicted for Cocaine, Herroine and Gun crimes and forfeited $460,000.00 in the early 1990’s. Cocaine, Heroine, Guns and other paraphernalia used in running the drug business were all recovered from the Tinubu-led drug cartel in Chicago in the early 1993. “He is still a suspect and the case against him is not yet closed. It can be reopened anytime even though he has forfeited proceeds from the crime,” a U.S Security source told Pointblanknews.com Sources said, “Even if today Tinubu decides to visit the United States again, he would be questioned. “His crime is not one that can be swept under the carpet just like that. “The usual suspicion by the United States and other countries is that once you have a criminal record, you must be monitored properly in order to forestall you committing the same crime again.” Tinubu’s drug crime life has refused to go away from the U.S authorities even as mainstream media houses in Nigeria have been largely compromised and would not report the atrocities and conviction of the APC leader. The APC leader is currently joggling his political cards, seeking to anoint a Governor in Lagos State and a Presidential flag bearer for his party despite his indictment for drug crimes in the United States. According to the document, signed by a former United States Government Narcotics Attache in its embassy in Nigeria, Andre W. Kellum, Tinubu operated an organisation that distributed cocaine. Kellum who signed the U.S documents while serving in Nigeria, is now Regional Director for the Drug Enforcement Agency, DEA, in Bangkok, Thailand. Kellum said that though Tinubu was not subjected to criminal prosecution, the fact that he acceded to forfeiting funds to the United States Government was on its own a conviction. Kellum’s letter was a response to a petition pertaining to Tinubu’s suitability to stand for re-election in 2003 as the governor of Lagos State. The petitioner said that Tinubu, owing to his conviction in the United States for running a drug cartel, was not suitable to stand for election in Nigeria. In the letter dated April 9, 2003, addressed to the former Chairman, National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), Alhaji Bello Lafiaji, Kellum wrote, “Afterconsultation with the Department of Justice (DOJ), Office of International Affairs (OIA), this is in response to the above referenced matter, regarding Bola Ahmed TINUBU (emphasis that of Kellum). “Pursuant to the aforementioned request, the Lagos, Nigeria Country Office (LNCO) of the Drug Enforcement Administration immediately contacted DOJ/OIA officials. Copies of documents received by the LNCO from the NDLEA were forwarded to these officials for verification. “As such, please note that paragraphs 4, 5 and 6 of the complaint indicates that persons named therein operated an organisation that distributed heroin and the proceeds of that illegal distribution were in the subject acounts to be forfeited. The complaint references U.S. (criminal) money laundering and (criminal) drug statutes as the authority under which the forfeiture occurs. Nevertheless, note that the complaint in this civil action identifies the funds as the defendant (Tinubu), not the account holders. “Likewise, the Decree of Forfeiture, signed by a U.S. District Judge, identifies the criminal statutory authority for the civil forfeiture of the funds without regard to whether there is a corresponding criminal prosecution. “The facts revealed in the U.S. Investigation of the funds and their source are detailed in the affidavit filed by the Internal Revenue Service. In the letter from the NDLEA that resulted in Kellum’s reaction, the lead anti- narcotic agency in Nigeria said that the conclusion it could draw was that Tinubu’s drug case was yet to be closed by the United States. The letter, in its opinion section, noted, “Former paragraph 6 above, Governor Ahmed Bola Tinubu was involved in Money Laundering Transactions along with Mueez Adegboya Akande and Abiodun Agbele in the United States of America. “Even though he was not charged to court, he had to compromise the case. Otherwise, he would have lost the whole money. “Arising from the case, Governor Ahmed Bola Tinubu forfeited 460,000 US dollars to the United States Government being proceeds of narcotic trafficking or property involved in financial transactions in violation of 18 USO 1956 and 1957 and therefore was forfeitable to the United States (emphasis that of the NDLEA). “It is pertinent to note that the funds held by Citi bank which was released to Governor Ahmed Bola Tinubu and the action filed against these funds held in the said accounts was dismissed with prejudice. This in effect means the case has not been closed (emphasis that of NDLEA) and could be reopened at any time by the United States Government.” The opinion formed by the NDLEA on the issue as a result of Kellum’s letter, arose from a petition by one of the governorship aspirants in Lagos State in 2003, Sir Babatunde Abayomi Olowu, that Tinubu was not fit to stand for the governorship based on his conviction on drug offences in the United States. The NDLEA said that though Olowu’s petition, dated January 16, 2003 raised several grounds for Tinubu to be prevented from contesting, the agency noted that the aspect in which it was interested was that between 1988 and 1993, the former governor was involved in narcotics trafficking and money laundering. It said that upon receipt of the petition, it sent copies of the court that indicted Tinubu to the DEA in Nigeria for assitance. Tinubu not wanted only in US but through out the world..how much do were you paid by PDP.GMB is our next president.I'm waiting for when you people will tell us that Governor Fashola is wanted in UK for sleeping with Queen's daughter. |

Politics › Boko Haram: Lagos To Experience Heavy Gunshots, Movement Of Ammunition—military by abacusCm(op): 12:10pm On Feb 17, 2015 |
The Nigerian Air Force, NAF, Sunday, said that it had succeeded in disrupting the Boko Haram sect’s communication supply line in the North eastern part of the country, stating that efforts had been intensified to ensure that the war against insurgents comes to an end in six weeks.
Air-force-inewsprintAmosu declared that to meet the six weeks deadline onslaught against terrorists, as earlier declared by the Federal Government, the military had commenced special trainings for its personnel and platforms in Lagos for onward deployment to the northeast. He, therefore, revealed that during the training period, there would be sounds of gun shots as well as movement of military platform in Lagos, calling on Lagosians not to panic.
The Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Adesola Amosu, disclosed this at the National Air Defence Corps, NADC, while flagging off a military operation exercise just as a female suicide bomber launched an attack at a motor park in Damaturu, Yobe State capital killing 10 persons while 31 others were injured.
According to him, “we are set to decimate the Boko Haram terrorists by first gaining air and ground intelligence to deny them the freedom of action and movement, to destroy their communication and supply line and deny them the possibilities of regeneration. “We have done this sufficiently and their command and control is already disrupted and what we need to do now is an exercise to complete the project.
“It is so easy for people to say what you could not do in so many years, how come you are going to do in six weeks. It is an operation and it gets to a point where you can categorically say that within a period you can complete the operation and this is where we are right now. “As part of ongoing operations in the northeast, we needed to show up in Lagos to bring additional capabilities to the fight against insurgency. We are incorporating some new systems. Some new ammunition have shown up and we need to incorporate this into our existing platforms and intensify day and night operations.
“We need to let the citizens know that occasionally they will hear gun fires and we will have ammunition being delivered. They should not panic. We have been in the air for the past few days and we are notifying the citizens accordingly that the ongoing operations are to recalibrate our weapon system and fine tune our tactics. “We are satisfied that the period allocated should be enough to carry out this project. Do not forget that you need time too for the displaced citizens to be able to go back to their locations. So we are almost there.”
Meanwhile, Police in Yobe State have confirmed the killing of 10 people and 31 injured in a suicide attack that was carried out by a female suicide bomber. The attack took place at the Damaturu Central motor park near the A Division Police Station that was on January 9, 2015 burnt by the Boko Haram insurgents. The Police Public Relations Officer for Yobe State, Toyin Gbadegesin, disclosed that the bomber made several failed attempts to bomb the military outfit inside the park before she boarded a half-loaded Sharon car and blew off herself killing 10 people on the spot. |

chibecanglobal: A group, the Greater Lagos Alliance, has called for the disqualification of the Lagos State governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Akinwunmi Ambode. The group said its call became necessary because of Ambode’s alleged “history of mental illness.” The Greater Lagos Alliance in a statement signed by its President, Dr. Lanre Adeoye, said “We have been working behind the scenes for the enthronement of a new government that would take off from where Governor (Babatunde) Fashola stopped. “After assessing the two major candidates (Ambode and Jimi Agbaje of the Peoples Democratic Party) and made our position known publicly on who to support based on their competencies and comparative advantages, we are sad to announce the withdrawal of our support for the candidate of the APC.” Adeoye, an American-based neuro- surgeon, hinged the group’s decision on the condition of Ambode when he travelled to the US for routine checkup. The statement added: “We met at a sanatorium where I consult and he was quite open about the fact that he has been managing his situation well. But I wasn’t convinced because the job of governing Lagos is not for somebody with such ailment. Lagos demands someone who is 100 per cent mentally and physically fit.” Adeoye said further that after several consultations and observations at close range, Ambode’s carriage vis a vis his penchant for missing critical political appointments among other frightening habits, which had pitted him against party chieftains, his group was call for his disqualification by the Independent National Electoral Commission. “We are constrained to call on INEC to disqualify Ambode because of his mental imbalance. We cannot take such risk in Lagos State,” Adeoye added. But reacting, the head of Ambode’s media team, Steve Ayorinde, described as “wicked, baseless and cowardly lies being circulated about our candidate for the Lagos State Governorship Position, Mr. Akinwunmi Ambode.” “The jittery opposition will stop at nothing in its smear campaign having failed to contain the soaring popularity of the APC Governorship candidate. But we are neither bothered nor discouraged; and we know that our numerous supporters and the generality of well-meaning Lagosians can see through the lies and desperations of those who dread a crushing defeat at the forthcoming election. “We know the source of this evil story as well as their despicable trumpeters. Well, we’ve got news for them: April 11, 2015 is almost here and it’s a date with history, when the good people of Lagos State will once again reject the evil machinations of those political marauders trying so hard to hijack their destiny. “For the avoidance of doubt, Mr. Ambode neither suffers from any ailment nor has ever met or been treated by a certain Dr. Lanre Adeoye. This fictional tale should be disregarded in its entirety. “With a clear focus, sound mind and in good health, Mr. Akinwunmi Ambode shall be unwavering in his campaigns and strategic consultations to retain Lgress.

Kenneth4u205: Nigerian 2015 Elections Prophecies: Prophet Joshua Iginla Says Jonathan ‘ll Win NIGERIA WILL NOT SPLIT OVER 2015 ELECTIONS. prophet Joshua Iginla of Champions Royal Assembly has said that the country will remain whole but will overcome it challenges . He alluded that despite the attempt of the opposition party, the APC at the federal level to take over ASO rock, President Goodluck Jonathan would win the elections. He added that peace though will come at a price as the squabble for power hits all time high. He warned the president and his wife to be prayerful in their next tenure. He said that the APC would definitely win more states but will also lose some states. While APC had held promise as being capable of overthrowing the PDP, the prophet revealed that the party that would overthrow the PDP was yet to be formed while iterating that the powers of the PDP will continue to dwindle. Death prophesies came for Bola Ahmed Tinubu as the prophet enjoined him to pray to finish the political fire that he has started as and The Governor of Kogi state Idris Wada who the prophet said he saw him fighting to sustain his breadth. For the elections, he revealed that there will be wanton destruction of life and property exactly six days after the elections as cars and properties will be burnt in protest against election results. The prophet also warned of military intervention asking Nigerians to pray against it and terrorist attack against a high rise financial building. Other prophesies include an attack on INEC installations, a vehement fire outbreak in Lagos, long strikes especially the Academic Staff Union of Universities and the Nigerian Medical Association. Two churches would be attacked, an orthodox and a Pentecostal while the wife of a prominent minster of God would die this year. The tides of terrorism will change as a great army from the south-south more deadlier than Boko Haram would be created. His last word was for Amaechi as he prophesied his political career diminishing. Pastor before I can belief your prophesy, can you tell Nigerians 1 The number of children that will be gave birth to tomorrow 2 Number of people that will die tomorrow and please leave politics predictions |
