Decided to retire my galaxy A70 of over 3 yrs. Just joined to Xiaomi community with the Xiaomi 11T. Loving it so far, very smooth, amazing display and decent camera. Lots of smart features too. But I won't lie, MIUI is still trailing behind oneui in terms of features. MIUI has some really good features too and they have really done well not to include too many bloatwares in this one.

Dimensity 1200 is very good for gaming, handles everything thrown at it like a champ at higher settings, no lags. Battery life makes me realize how poor the battery on my A70 is, and I love the 67w charger, I don't even worry when my phone is low since I know a 10 min charge will give me emough juice to keep me going.

People don't take loans with no intention of playing. Sometimes things just don't go as expected and u default. It's not enough reason for a loan company to start threatening u after just 1-2 days of default. Most covid vaccines have a shelf life of about 30 days when stored inside the refrigerator and just 24 hours when outside the refrigerator, this is similar to most vaccines. Lol, it doesn't work like that. Before u can take a loan u will have to give their app access to ur contacts and even whatsapp contacts. So the app will download all ur contacts, so once u default they will start calling and sending messages to all ur contacts. If u have ur boss or important people in ur contact they will call them too.

I live quite close to where it happened and I was there a few minutes after the accident. That area is a steep slope/hill and is a bridge bordered by a deep gully and a river. The police are fond of setting up a roadblock at the mouth of the bridge to collect money from motorists which causes a traffic jam. Because of the slopey nature of the road, tankers and large trucks are always having accidents on that stretch of the road and that was exactly what happened this time around. An incoming water tanker had issues with braking and because of the momentum it had gained while driving down the slope was unable to stop and it hit multiple cars in the traffic jam the police had caused...even knocking some of them off the bridge and into the gully. Thank God they didn't fall into the river.

Why is it the Police's fault? That road is a high risk area ordinarily; cars are not supposed to linger there longer than necessary and if not for the traffic jam they caused, casualties would have been minimized.

Thanks for the explanation, at least u are able to explain how it happened. Normally road blocks should never be monunted where there's a slope, it's risky and those policemen should be held responsible. Ur explanation is much better than those with herd mentality.

The maintenance light was reset after the last time I changed the oil in May.

For the 08 and later accords, the on board computer continuously monitors the engine's operating conditions such as temperature, speed, running time, etc. That is how it the oil life is calculated and it will notify u when oil life is below 15%. If the light has come on before the recommended time of 5,000 miles then it probably means the system has predicted early breakdown of the oil based on use and engine condition.

U have to reset that maintenance light each time u service the car. The car doesn't know when u change ur oil so the reading its showing is from the last time the light was reset.

Also, I wouldn't wait for the maintenance light to turn on before changing the oil, that light won't come on until after around 6,000 miles which might be too much depending on the type of oil and filter used for service and also driving condition.

Just because a car can do 160km/hr doesn't mean it's a fast car. For goodness sake a Toyota Tacoma which is a pick up truck with poor handling can do 100mph which is about 160km/hr. Does that make it a fast car? Ur lack of understanding is something else. Even am 18 wheeler semi truck can go as fast as 130km/hr. I've seen dangote trucks doing over 130km/hr on highways. Does that make them fast? How to know a fast car is how long it will take them to get to their top speed. A Toyota Corolla can still go as fast as 180km/hr, it doesn't mean it's fast because it will take longer for it to get to that speed than an actual fast car who will get to that speed at a shorter time. That's is how to know a fast car. But of course I don't expect u to understand this.

Guy why are u lying because u want to score some cheap points? Who said a Corolla will outrun a GX470? Pls show where I said that. I clearly said not all V8's can outrun V6's especially when the V8 is an SUV and I said a V6 Honda accord of the same year will outrun a Lexus GX470 with all its V8. Never compared it with a Corolla. And as for the Prado, those things are as as slow as fu#k especially the 4 cylinder versions. Toyota corolla is a very slow car, but a 2009 Corolla will still outrun a 4 cylinder 2009 Prado. Suv's are generally not made for speed, only a few of them can hit top speed quickly while maintaining a good handling.

A lot of people have lost their lives because of this misconception of thinking suvs are made for speed or that a heavy car means better handling. You will see someone put a Toyota Tundra on the highway and be feeling like he is the king of the road because its got a V8, they end up crashing it at top speed because of poor handling.

So many factors may responsible for the sign giving out by car, if you rely on Nairaland, i pray you wont send ur car to demmorage.

Ur car maybe be having engine seat problem, if one or more of plugs bad, even battery among others.

There is no issue with the car. Its normal for a lot of modern toyotas and other cars. Once u take out the battery and put it back, it will take some time for it to relearn the idle. Just a few kilometers of driving and it will be normal. This is why when u ask some people for their battery and they refuse, some would think they are stingy or proud.

It simply replaced Prado of Toyota Land Cruiser range in some parts of the world, and it is only rebadged.

It can be classified as the same car but different name etc.

Of course land cruisers have V8 but they don't carry the Prado brand. Land cruiser Prado are cheaper versions of land cruisers for people who want to enjoy the ruggedity of land cruisers but don't need the V8 engine. It's a water downed version of the most rugged car in the world, why would they fit it with V8? And Prado is not sold in the US, Americans have the choice to pick a Lexus GX which has a V8 engine or go crazy what the full sized land cruiser.

I checked the thread, I saw people ask the OP to delete the thread because there is no Prado V8. I didn't see anyone replied him that there is one. You do realize that is a blog right, so some things u see there are not verified. Just like on Nairaland forum, u posting that there's a V8 prado without proof. Someone else might put this on google and google will lead him to this thread where u claimed there's a v8 Prado.

Just show me any V8 prado for sale, or the specs from a reputable website, not some blogs.

Unless of course u are talking about the Lexus GX470 which is what is sold in the US instead of Prado. Those ones come with v8, same body frame, similar body design with slight diferences, most mostly same cars expect for the engine.

Even a Lamborghini urus will struggle at corners compared to an F1 car which is lighter. Where then is the advantage conferred by weight in terms of balance? What does he really understand by balance?
I don't know how speed makes vehicles lighter. Is there another law of physics that affects their mass? Aerodynamics may play a role on how much traction a cars tyre can provide at very high speeds but beyond that, nothing. People keep confusing steering feedback with weight perception.
Weight (mass) is a killer when it comes to changing a cars direction. The heavier cars (Prados, land cruisers) will skid easily or require larger turning circles or angles at speed than a lighter car all other things (tyre condition, road condition etc) being equal. Heavier cars tend to have longer stopping distances. Lighter cara stop better. I do not see the advantage weight confers on cars with regards to "balance", speed or cornering ability. Instead, it's a disadvantage.

F1 cars will corner and accelerate faster than any heavy SUV because it is lighter even though the F1 car has a far smaller sized engine.

I just don't know why many Nigerians think the heavier the car the better the handling. It's so confusing. The best handling cars are the ones with lighter weight. I understand the corollas, camrys, accrods and many everyday sedans don't handle well because they are not built to. But there are some small fun cars like the Mazda Miata, golf GTI, Honda civic type R etc that handle very well as small as they are. But how can someone think a Toyota sequoia that handles like a truck is balanced at top speed just because it has a big as$ V8 engine.

Again u are wrong. The weight of the car has a lot to play on how fast it can go. This is why smaller cars with less horsepower will go faster than many heavier cars with more horsepower. Why do u think a Kawasaki zzr1400 with 190hp is a lot faster than a BMW X6 v8 with 445hp? Its because the damn bike is a whole lot lighter. The bike will max out at 185mph while the x6 v8 will max out at 155mph. Why do u think this is possible? Its the weight coupled with how they are tuned.

And u ask why do supercars carry v8? of course they have to carry big engines because bigger engines means bigger speed (when every other things like shape, weight and aerodynamics remain the same). You should be asking urself why supercars are built with carbon fiber instead of steel used in regular cars. Why they have alcantera seats instead of leather. Why they don't have back seats. All these things are to reduce their weight. If u put a ferrari engine in an SUV do u still think that suv will be as fast as the ferrari? lol. If u pick 2 super cars with similar engines and transmission, one built out of steel with back seats and leather, while the other is built out of carbon fiber with alcantera and no back seat, which one do u think will be faster? Also u need to realize that suv's have higher ground clearance which is not good for speed. Have u asked urself why fast cars have very low ground clearance?
