chucky234:If the Lexus ES is a glorified Avalon, then the acura RLX is also a glorified accord. By the way I'm a Honda fan. |
lomomike:Bros take am easy now. The acura RL now the RLX has always been a full size luxury sedan while the Lexus ES is a mid size luxury sedan, though the new Lexus ES has gone full size. The acura has an awd option which makes it the better car. But remember Lexus don't bother fitting awd in their ES because they still have the BIG BOY Lexus LS with all the options, now the acura RLX is no match for that. |
lomomike:Yes the body shell is based on the Avalon and that's about it. The current generation Avalon is a big upgrade from the Camry even though the new Camry borrows some of its features. U must know that the new 2015 Camry is a major upgrade from previous ones and this Lexus ES is a big upgrade from the Avalon in terms of function and luxury. |
Past generation Lexus ES was always based on the Camry and made them not too appealing. I like how this new generation is not based on the Camry, they are making a BOLD statement. |
lomomike:Bros abeg help me ask am. And the funny thing is people like this are the ones that have the biggest skeleton in their cupboard. |
Are u looking for the PCM of first generation Volkswagen beetle or that of danfo bus? |
dkronicle:I tell u, I no even know wetin there guys want sef. What would they gain from hacking notjustok. |
One of Nigeria's biggest music website www.notjustok.com has been hacked Abdellah Elmaghribi, a Morrocan hacking group. On the website the following message is displayed with arabic music in the backround. Hacked By Abdellah Elmaghribi The Sahara is Moroccan Abdellah Elmaghribi ! When u say the temperature level is pretty low.. Like how low are u talking about? If it is way below the half way then everything is not OK. Really I see no reason changing to a double cell radiator, ur engine will be slow to to get to its optimum temperature (especially when they run the fans to work ditectly with ignition ). A cold engine will never perform well and will be no good for ur mpg. Also it is a slow engine killer. |
Raymie:Na wa o. So u already know what Camry has in future |
2003 -2006 Toyota corolla. Next time hide the logo |
ologboncrowny:U still reason like someone with very low IQ. Dude I believe in God, but everyone has a right to his religion. Now just read what u wrote and I quote ologboncrowny:So automatically u believe the car will kill the boy just because the mother didn't thank God. What if the mother believes in other thing or doesn't believe in God? People in china don't believe in God yet they progress. There are thousands of religions in the world, just believe in what u believe in don't judge. Isn't it an irony that the white man brought Christianity to Africa, but the same white man will pray for 5 minutes silently in his house and use the remaining hours to work. An African man will pray for 5 hours on top of his voice disturbing the neihbourgood and work for a few hours. Some will even shout die die die die in the middle of the night. Religion has made us lazy and that is why the white man is doing a lot better than us. Dey there dey deceive urself. |
Very HOTTT. Some may not agree, but just remove the badge and slap a Mercedes or BMW logo on it without changing any other thing, then lots of people will say its hot. |
Immune1:Well said. I am not against made in Nigeria cars, neither am I in support of smuggling. I think the government already has a policy to prevent cars older than 15 years into the country which is a good development. I don't think importing accident cars into the country is that bad like u put it. As long as the chasis is not affected. Most of the accident cars still have very good powertrain. Maybe Government should create a body that examines and screen accident cars. Let me ask u, an imported accident 2005 VW Passat with damaged fender, broken headlight and door vs baba Kafaya's 1982 Datsun kabukabu that was bought brand new in 1982.. which one will be safer on the road? |
This is a very good development, but is Nigeria really ripe for this? The answer is NO and I have my reasons. 1. The US automotive industry has come a long way and it is one of the biggest automotive industry in the world. They started producing cars from the early 1920s, Nigeria just started in 2013 and it is still in its infancy. It is easy to buy a $1,000 used car in the USA with sound engine, good luck finding a used Nigeria made car here. 2. The USA is an advanced country with everything already planned our for its citizens. They don't even pay outright for a car, they have functioning loan system and everybody can afford a car loan so far u have a job. Back here in Nigeria what is the minimum wage again? You want a car in Nigeria u have to cough out millions just to buy a car that u like. This means only the rich can afford a car while the poor will suffer. What about students? In the states a student can buy a used car for as low as $1,000 because the cars are made in the US hence no clearing and shipping fees. The only way to help Nigerian citizens is the importation of used cars that are affordable while our automotive industry grows (trust me it is going to take a really long time to get there ). 3. The USA have good roads and engineers, hence a car used for 15 years in the states is equivalent to a 2 years used naija car. So buying a naija used made in Nigeria car for now is out of the equation. Have u seen one of those innoson cars that have been used for 1+ year? Trust me everything falls apart from door handle to the upholstry. They can't stand the test of time... At least for now. Let's say I'm a student or a small business owner and need a car to run my business. Do I have to cough out 1.2 million naira to buy a Hyundai i10 or KIA picanto or any of the newly made innoson sedans (that are not even available yet)? Those cars can't even carry 5 passengers with ease and yet I have to pay over 1 million naira. What if I need a truck for my farm business? Do I need to pay millions just to get one? What if I need a car for taxi? With 500,000 naira or less I can get a used car that will serve me more than anything made or assembled in Nigeria (for now ). We don't have functional regulatory laws on automobiles, no emmision test. having emmision test is a waste of time anyway because it will be a waste of time. I mean if we perform emmision test on vehicles, are we also going to perform emmision test on generators? Because every house has at least one power generating set, so the air is already polluted. The government needs to fix all these things before talking about crushing imported cars that don't meet the standard. They need to fix the power sector so people won't need to buy generators, they need to fix the roads so Nigerian made cars can stand the test of time. All these things will take years and by then the automotive industry would have grown . by then people with low income can afford to buy a used made in Nigeria car. Americans have no reason to import cars into their country because they have a very functional automotive industry, DO WE HAVE A FUNCTIONAL AUTOMOTIVE INDUSTRY IN NIGERIA? |
lomomike:I know , just saying because a company started something doesn't make them the best at it. And isn't Prius made by Toyota (Japanese?) |
lomomike:Bros bone that talk. Who developed VCM, who made hybrid cars popular? By the way, that Motorola made the first mobile phone doesn't mean they make the best phones. And that Nokia ruled the smartphone world in tbe 90's doesn't mean they make the best smartphones. |
lomomike:. |
lomomike:How is Volvo and even Mercedes Benz safer than a Honda? U people underrate these Japanese cars just because they are NOT EUROPEAN. Go check crash test results, Honda accord has an almost perfect score, more than any Volvo and Mercedes. |
ologboncrowny:Some people still reason like this in 2014? |
Fuel economy of both cars are similar, even though the accord is sportier. The Camry has just a little second hand value than the accord just because it is a Toyota. Also accord parts are more expensive (I don't know about engine and transmission) but every other part like power steering pump, sapentine belt, transmission fluid, radiator, condenser, ecu, etc are more expensive on the accord than the Camry. Therefore it is easier to say the Camry costs less to maintain. But give me the 2 cars and I will choose the accord any day. |
ZIMDRILL:I don't see any lies here. Using HID xenon bulbs on a casing not designed for HID is waste of time and the result will be shattered light that is blinding to upcoming drivers and at the end of the day the visibility will end up poorer than normal halogen lamps. Been there, done that. This is not to say halogen lamps are better, but if u must use HID it must be with the right casing. I see a lot of people using HID xenon ligts on 1999 Camry and trust me the result is abysmal. |
Lol, all these long epistle because of peugeot 607. Peugeot 607 really? A car that struggled to sell 62,000 units between 2004 to 2010. A car that only sold 1,000 units in 2010. But then with that long epistle people will believe 607 is the best car ever made. This is a car that was supposed to be an executive car and was sold as a premium car but couldn't match the Germans in performance and luxury, couldn't match the Japanese in reliability. Again Peugeot found themselves in no man's land. On inception it sold well but then consumers started complaining about its erratic electrical problems and sales reduced in subsequent years . only 1,000 units sold in 2010? U got to be kidding me. YES IT IS NO NEWS THAT THIS CAR HAS PLETHORA OF ELECTRICAL PROBLEMS. This has nothing to do with Nigerian mechanics, go to any review site the problem is there and this car struggles to get 3 stars out of 5. No wonder Peugeot stopped its production. Now tell me how u can find this car on Nigerian roads when they didn't even sell up to 70,000 units worldwide? I know I will get lots of hate because of this post and my comment will probably be hidden, but who cares? |
Are u using coolant or only water? |
peterjero:If u want a straight answer, then it is because of their history of reliability, u can't take that away from them. |
Bossforeva:Hmm, love the current ford fusion. The problem with most people is they think Toyota is all about Camry and corolla....some will even compare a Camry with Mercedes Benz s class when it is obvious they are of completely different class. |
lonelydora:Big fallacy. The camrys and corollas might be bland (but they belong to a particular class and rule in their class) but saying all Toyota no be car is going way too far. Have u seen the current generation Avalon? The landcruiser is a king in its class while the tundra is also a beast in its class. Even the fj cruiser is one of the most affordable off roaders and name a compact pick up truck that is better than the hilux? Who says Toyota no be car? |
This is definitely not a 2008 highlander, as a matter of fact it's first generation highlander. |
So u finally changed from fibrik intiro to fabric interior. That's good man, happy sales. |
AutosBay:OK, nice one. What about bemshawn and obdshawn? U can't deny those 2 handles copy and paste questions from yahoo and autosbay gives solution from the same yahoo page the questions are lifted. It is obvious u own all those usernames. |
Yes, using car air conditioner increases fuel consumption especially in city driving, it gets worse in traffic and when the outside temperature and humidity is very high thereby requiring more energy to cool the air and dry it before pumping into the vehicle. More energy means more fuel. However in highway driving, the difference becomes negligible. |
