I have similar problem with my France visa application , this is what I see on the application form….On the day of your appointment, you will have to pay the application fee of: 0 €**, or about 0 POUND sterling. I don’t know if I should go ahead for the appointment

Please I need advise on my situation.

I started reading this thread before finally applying for my France Schengen visa today.

I started on the France-visas website and after completion and got to the stage of visa fee, it told me I was to pay €0 for the visa and linked me to VFSGLOBAL to book an appointment. I followed the process and finally booked a VFS biometric appointment for April 13, 2023 and paid approximately N21,000 online ( since I will be going to UK on March 24 and return in April 8 but want to travel to France on July 6.)

I just wanted to know it the €0 charge is normal. Am I going to pay again at VFS Lagos? What should I expect? Will I be billed for the visa later? When going for the biometric, should printed copies be in black and white or coloured. Please respond. Thank you in advance.

This 2023 japa move is more draining than normal but thank God it’s worth it! I pray that we all testify to the glory of God soonest. Please, it’s not as difficult as we think, just ensure you follow due process. I have been following this Japa trend here since January 2022.(last year)

Updating addresses in the bank should be straightforward once you provide an evidence to show you reside in that premises, usually utility bill.

Tips:
For TB test, I had issues registering on their portal and making payment. If you encounter issues, just send them an email stating your passport details, where to and date you want. If you don’t get a reply within 3 working days, please go there and see the customer service showing them your email, they’ll fix you a time.



If you made a not so serious and non personal mistake when filling your visa application form, and you noticed after you have paid for ihs and visa fee, but before your biometrics, instead of canceling the application and restarting, which takes 4-6weeks to refund your money, you can write a cover letter and cross the mistake out on your application print out , then upload it as part of your documents submitted.

I got banned for a year sometimes around June due to an information about the UKVI exchange rate, gotten from their website I innocently posted to help. Thank you @justwise for a good job to ban unsolicited or incorrect information, and thanks for reconsidering my appeal and unbanning me, my apologies once again and I’ve retraced my steps.

It's okay for your dependant to apply after you if you don't have enough funds for your maintenance

If your Uni request for your evidence of maintenance send yours,if they come back to ask for your dependants, provide a cover letter explaining the decisions you have made based on funds and fluctuating exchange rate.

You will be given your CAS, don't be too worried

Please remember your POF is for your study in the UK

Yes cas will be issued. You should have contacted the bank to help fund you and your dependant will pay the interest. That would have saved time

While POF was counting i have decided to use the pof alone and excluded my dependant from the deposited funds due to the hike in naira then I remembered I applied for admission as a single applicant I mailed the school to update the status which was successfully done with a reminder from the school that additionally to the funds i must have for the remaining tuition fee and my living costs, i must have sufficient funds for my dependant too, which is a minimum of £6120 per dependant. If I may ask would I be granted CAS without the dependant pof since she will be applying for visa in another few months
