Mr literate, the US number one objective was to topple the Taliban government and they failed woefully at that. Today the Taliban rules Afghanistan.

Al Qaeda was just a secondary objective. And they didn't even succeed at that.

No single Russian official have ever said that.

By the way the US fought the ragtag Taliban for 20 years only to lose to them.

32 NATO countries sent troops to help the USA fight goat herders in Afghanistan.
You just confidently wrote nonsense, you still don't know the difference between Al-Qeada and Taliban, even after 20 years grin grin grin. U.S mission in Afghanistan was to destroy Al Qeada, drill oil and then try to remove taliban & implement democracy. The only part they failed was democracy, the Afghan mission was a huge success, if only you knew how much oil Uncle Sam got from Afghan and how Afghanistan will remain crippled economically for the next 100 years grin grin grin

Britain is feeling the same thing we have been feeling, I don't wish it on anyone. I am even sad for the British, they are no feeling the heat from diverse beleifs, no central values, this has increased distrust in Britain. They are beginning to realise that they had a beautiful thing.

Its time we stop blaming the west, we are very responsible, poverty and confusion comes from our ways.

Who is ruling the country, who is the stealing the money, why are the roads poor in some places, and the infrastructures dilapidated, its comes from our ways not the west.

If Nigeria ceases to exist, we should at least learn that our ways caused problems.
You can't ignore the root cause and focus on symptoms, the people are just symptoms of what was imposed on them, Nigeria was never meant to be a nation, we literally have almost nothing in common, not even the same ancestors. Yet more Christians have been killed in the USA than Nigeria since 1960. Even if we were gullible and accepted your premise, why won't the USA and rest of the UN support the splitting of Nigeria so that each region can have its own beliefs, government and society? Could it be that such an option would not favor the West as they gain more from the poverty and confusion of Nigerians? Nobody hates a well organized and focused Africa more than the West......Believe it or not, they don't give a flip about Christians or Muslims, as long as you've got oil or resources they can exploit, they'll come after you!

Don't be in a haste to quote or write. Go through your comment but this time, slowly. Trump never said he's going to bomb Nigeria. He said he will intervene against Islamic terrorists and bandits that are killing Christians in the Northern part of the country.

Did Trump seek any congressional approval before bombing the nuclear bunker site of Iran during Iran - Israel war?
Stop trying to be half clever, he said all options are on the table including a MILITARY STRIKE! Next, you mentioned Iran-Israel WAR, well that was military assets in a full blown conflict, not in a nation that's considered an ally to the USA. Doing so to an ally, is actually a declaration of war and the president simply does not have that authority! E.g, striking France because an ISIS leader was seen there.....Na war be that o!

Even if this Congress chooses to turn a blind eye, the Dems will win the midterm next year and that effectively cripples Trump's ability to strike Nigeria or any other bullshit he wishes to perform!

Let me enlighten you, young man.

Yes we all know that insecurity in Nigeria didn't start with Tinubu's regime. Though Tinubu who headed the formation of terrorist party called APC played a role in making insecurity more pronounced in Nigeria by bringing Buhari a known Moslem fanatics and Jihadists sympathizer to become Nigeria's ill-fated President for 8 years. Buhari's tenure helped terrorists become more emboldened and brazen. Buhari's tenure destabilized Southeast region and made it unsafe.

Tinubu came on board and refused to govern with sincerity of purpose, integrity and fear of God. Instead he continued from where Buhari stopped with nepotism and brazen leadership arrogance and corruption.

I don't want to go further so let me give you a summary of what Tinubu can do to bring insecurity down drastically if he truly desires to.

1.) Forget about reelection and govern Nigeria with honesty, open heart, integrity and fear God just to write your name in the sands of history

2.) After making the number 1 decision above, Tinubu should be ready to step on toes without fear by visiting the list of terror sponsors in Nigeria. Arrest them immediately without delay and create a special court to try them as fast as possible and make the trial open to media broadcast for the whole world to hear their testimonies in court.

3.) Hire foreign mercenaries, halt the unimportant coastal highway and use the fund to hire two different foreign mercenaries to flush out Boko Haram and Bandits in Northwest and Northeast.

They must come with attack drones, surveillance systems and aerial surveillance to monitor all our forests and highways. Give them go ahead order to bomb and eliminate any armed person or group found in the forests without seeking for further approval. And before then, order our military back to their barracks cos they have failed and will continue to fail cos they are compromised already.

3.) sign the Forest Guards into law and release funds to states to start full implementation. They must carry the highest level of weapons with drone stations and must station in the forests only. Only indigenes of each LGA must be recruited, no outsider.

4.) As he banned open grazing, enforcement must follow through Forest Guards and the foreign mercenaries.

Let me stop here for now
Under which president was the first amnesty given to these terrorist/jihadist? Why was this done? It's easy to bark theories but when it comes to practical your balls are not BIG enough! Not even Tinubu can stop these folks because they are all in the government in all parties, even the so called big men are their sponsors. Until you're ready to lay down your life, barking theories online won't solve shin shin, the terrorists are willing to gamble their lives, ARE YOU?

I suspect not, life is too sweet for you and many of us online hence we can't do like the arab spring or the Kenyans, we will continue to lament onlin e while hoping an imaginary president will save the day......SMH!

No.

These are excuses.

Tellling Nigerians that mass killings in Nigeria are nothing new - is nothing but a provocation. Bola Tinubu isn't being paid to sit in Aso Rock to enjoy the perquisites that come with the office he holds. He (and his team) are there to solve problems. He is there to put a stop to the killings.

Holding the Tinubu administration accountable is not "a naive way to look at things". What does that even mean? The man asked and fought for the job and told Nigerians to hold him responsible for performance - and that's exactly what we are doing. This isn't the time for you to make excuses on his behalf!

You can't ask me (a private citizen) for the solution to the problem. BAT has an entire federal bureaucracy behind him and they are paid big salaries to solve these problems we are talking about. Finding a solution is BAT's responsibility, not mine.

The most annoying thing is we can see some of the lapses that the administration is pretending not to see. In my last reply to you I asked why the military commander who ordered the withdrawal of soldiers (guarding the girls school at Maga) has not been identified. What do you have to say about that? undecided

^^^
undecided

No we are not 'just ranting online'. We are reminding BAT that two years ago he swore an oath to do certain things on behalf of 200 million plus Nigerians. He has sacred responsibilities to those people and he is failing at keeping his own end of the bargain. undecided

Like I said earlier, it is BAT's responsibility to find solutions to the problems, not mine. We are angry because he doesn't even seem to be trying.

Let me remind you that a few months ago, BAT publicly queried the IGP about the failure to apprehend a single one of the perpetrators of the Yelwata massacre. The IGP simply sat down without responding. undecided That tells you all you need to know.

One would expect that the president would have asked a question like that following the very first massacre of defenceless Nigerians after he got into power in 2023. Apparently he hadn't asked that sort of question since he took office because if he had, then the security forces would have handled subsequent attacks very differently.

^^
Means the problem is bigger than the government then. undecided
In all you wrote you failed to mention any credible solution, it is easy to point out problems but bringing out solutions is where majority of Nigerians develop amnesia!

What do you mean we can't ask you for a solution? Come abroad and see how town halls, polls and sometimes open letter to the president and other lected officials get things done.......Again you can rant online all you want, tell me how is this holding BAT accountable?

You don't get it.

I am not a US citizen. The US president has no obligations to me. I don't have a stake in Donald Trump's success or failure in solving gun and gang violence in US cities - that is a matter for US nationals to deal with.

I am not interested in a comparison of the relative complexity of Nigeria versus the United States. Any such comparison on this thread is a distraction and a waste of time.

I don't live in the US. I don't work there. My primary concern is this country, Nigeria.

BAT is failing. The facts speak for themselves. The only reason I mentioned the US president is BAT's craven, servile response (or lack thereof) to his insults. Donald Trump described Nigeria as a 'disgraced country' undecided and BAT's men said nothing - because they know BAT has long abandoned Nigerians to their fate.

It took insults from a US president to galvanize a flurry of activity from the Nigerian government. Is BAT serving Nigerians or he is serving Trump?

BAT is failing. Up till now, we still don't know who ordered the soldiers guarding the girls school in Maga to withdraw - only for terrorists to strike forty five minutes later. undecided Isn't that failure?
We can agree both BAT and Trump are failures but all I hear is the problem and not a solution! Killings and kidnappings in the North have been happening right from OBJ era, to put the blame on one man in a democratic governemnt is a naive way to look at things. What is the solution? We all know these things have political, traditional and religious elements to it so to think one president can wipe it out is a LIE!

Their sponsors are in the government, they are the ones making laws and executing it. They are traditional rulers and religious leaders. They are big men with resources enough to convince entire towns and villages into killing and kidnapping their neighbors. The issue goes beyond just theories, it goes beyond just ranting online, so I ask again WHAT IS THE SOLUTION?

Here's a mind puzzle, do you think it was a mistake that amnesty was offered to these murderers during GEJ's & Buhari's regime? Think about it, if the problem is so huge that the govenrment has no choice than to offer amnesty to them, what does that tell you about the sponsors?

Alusiizizi:
You still haven't answered my question. For starters, you didn't specify the discipline that you earned your Ph.D in. If you earned your Ph.D in Mathematics then you are probably just marginally better that the general population in your medical/physiology knowledge. That's one objection.

The second one. Even if you obtained a Ph.D in some sort of medical field, or a field that requires in-depth knowledge in physiology(to be honest with you, the only examples that I can think of would by pharmacology, pharmacy, biology . Medical/health education almost invariably terminates in a professional degree, we'll leave this point for the third paragraph), that still doesn't prove that you actually know anything, only that you are expected to know something about physiology, at least considerably more than what the "average Joe" on the street knows, it doesn't actually imply that you do.

The third one. You boasted that you come from a long line of professionals, but that doesn't actually mean that you are in fact a medical professional, which finally brings me to your "Ph.D". Perhaps you do have a Ph.D(which I find impossible to believe, given that you questioned my assertion that THC(the active compound in cannabis(A.K.A igbo)) can be detected in drug tests, even if the person is not a smoker), or perhaps your Ph.D exists only in your imagination, I can't tell which is the case, but what I do find suspicious is your presentation of a Ph.D in a medical field to buttress your credibility. Most people of cognitive means that go into the medical profession often go for professional degrees(M.D, PharmD e.t.c). Academic medical degrees like Pharmacology are exceedingly rare, and such people often stick out like a red herring wherever they go and trust me, from reading up your post history, you are definitely not one of those types.

Summary: You don't have a Ph.D in anything. If you do, prove it, otherwise stop polluting the online space with useless noise.
I had hoped to not go back and forth with you but your ranting here makes no sense, my initial reply to you is that my experience coming from a long line of medical professionals gives me more insight into medical related issues than someone just looking things up on Google. That was not boastful but factual, you're welcomed to feel however you feel about that!

Further, the Ph.D reference is simply about research, you do not earn a Ph.D by simply relying on Google, it takes deep analytical/reasoning mindset to accomplish such a feat! The rest of the jargon you wrote is simply comical!

Whether you admit it or not, the last two weeks have been terrible for the administration. Though nowhere near as terrible as things have been for Nigerians who have lost life and property since BAT got into office two years ago. undecided

BAT is failing. He's been on the back foot for the past few weeks, shuffling through the humiliation of trying to explain the killings in Nigeria to the president of another country. undecided For months, BAT couldn't be bothered to act on our longstanding complaints about the violence and killings - but now he's all over the place explaining himself to the president of the USA. undecided

BAT doesn't care what Nigerians say but he cares about what Donald Trump says. undecided Says it all really.
Yet Trump could not solve the gun and gang violence in his own country, if BAT is a failure then Trump is a bigger one considering America is not as complex as Nigeria interms of ethnicity and religiion.
