No, that's what you are doing.

A video alone doesn't give the full construct.

You MUST know what transpired.

For instance, what if she had pointed a gun at how minutes earlier.

You must known the full story instead being hasty.

In a sane country they don't ask the victim what happened, if a female pointed a gun at you, you do not chase them afterwards in a towel, that shows your life was not in danger. You think say na your usual Nairaland dummies you dey follow yearn.....BE BETTER!

Problem with most of you is that you can never be critical.

Do you know if she pushed him into the bathroom before all this?

No, you don't.

Thats why questions must be asked.

Guy that's not being critical that's being heartless. What you're doing is trying to find an angle to blame the victim. So I'll repeat if you ever saw your daughter in such a position, would your first thought or words be, WETIN YOU DO AM?

For those of us blessed with daughters, I no wan know wetin happen, I go introduce such man to his maker!

You have two options but before you implement any of the two, I suggest you get irrefutable evidence such as a video. Then play the video for him, if that does not work, play it for his parents and then his friends.

Your two options:

1. Leave(Only if you're financially independent and are confident you can take the kids if any)

2. Stay but refuse intimacy without protection. The only thing worse than a man not getting some in a marriage is a man always having to wear raincoat in order to lapoopoolala grin

Here's a fact: 90% of all married men will cheat at one point or another, it can be early on, mid life crisis or when they get older and these girls see them as sugar grandpas. The question here is would you rather be with a known cheater or one that won't even give you the chance to suspect him but na him be leader of the married cheater association (MCA)? grin grin grin

I don't know your level of education but just to educate you, If you commit an offence, you are not entitled to time before being made to undo the effects of your criminality.

That's false! No demolition can be carried out without due notice, 48 hours is not due notice anywhere in the WORLD! Also, if this was a sane country, they would give the offenders enough time not only to provide documents but to appeal the decision through the legal system aka COURT!

For example, who approved the purchase? Who gave the build approval and so on! If the property has a proper C of O and building approval certified by the government then that makes it much more easier to challenge in court as government's incopentency and corruption had a direct impact on the issue at hand!

The only problem is that this is 9ja and both citizens and government are used to thuggery hence you believe in this blatant misuse of power!

This your reply just shows you have not been reading what I have been saying. You have your opinion and just vomit it at every opportunity.

You are the one sleeping here. How many times have I written in reply to you that even labour knows they can't get the 615k but it's a good place to start negotiating. The system isn't fair that means there are those benefiting and those not benefiting, labour is only using the 615k as bench mark to get something reasonable from this vampires they call politicians

If the minimum wage remains at 30k and inflation continues to rise like it has been doing these evil politicians will still buy that 160 jeep, share dollars amongst themselves and everyone will still be abusing them and doing nothing. All the abuses we have been abusing them, what or where has it gotten us all.

Seems you don't know how to get practicality from these politicians. So labour should go to the table with 100k as minimum wage and you think the govt will not want to negotiate it to 50k. If you still don't get the logic then am sorry for you.

You're the one regurgitating nonsense, the number one rule of negotiation is not to low ball or throw unrealistic figures! How do I know this? Apart from two MBA degrees, I have vast experience in both public and private sectors. In short, a government that hardly pays 30k per month minimum wage, YOU WANT TO START NEGOTIATING FROM 600K? NO BE JUJU BE THAT? Is the intention negotiating or pissing off the other party? My friend wake up and stop being sentimental this isn't spare parts market grin. When you're ready to have a discourse based on logic and reality let me know. For now, just REST!

You talk as if voting in this country is fair and that the votes actually reflects what the people want.

Regardless, we saw how someone explained how to get power by grabbing, snatching and running away with it aided by Ineck who announced results in the middle of the night.

That Ineck even allowed someone who couldn't prove he went to any sec sch to contest leaves a lot to be desired. He actually went to a sec sch before the sec sch was established. He need to have been in the guineas book of records with that feat.

One before him didn't have waec, contested and SUPPOSEDLY WON, the next ones profile was filled with all sorts of controversies and you are asking who voted.

Labour just wants their fair share.

You just admitted the system isn't fair, so what makes you think you'll ever get 600,000 minimum wage? We are talking about reality here not some pipe dream or fantasy......WAKE UP! If the system cannot be fair to the electorate, what makes you think you or labor have any power to force such astronomical wage increase?

This is the problem I have with most of y'all online warriors, you guyz are so deep into theoretical analysis that youy fail to consider the practicability, we can talk all day and twice on Sundays but the relaity is that neither you nor labor has the BALLS to effect such a change!

A 28M to 35M salary for senators and HOR is not insanity.
Buying jeeps worth 160M for themselves is not insanity

Removing subsidy without a plan and increase in electricity tariffs is not insanity. And then floating the naira for whatever reason is not insanity. Coupled with other extravagant irrelevant nonsense they do that we don't know

What Yahaya Bello is being chased about for is probably what most Govs are doing in different ways yet the likes of you would not shout to high heavens that it's insanity.

Where was this energy when all this were done. To now do something that is also INSANITY for the civil servant is now insanity.

It is the activities of these elite, especially those in govt that has brought us where we are today. So if labour wants to take their share, allow them and stop making noise about it being insanity. They most likely wouldn't even get the 615k they are asking for.

The tragedy is that these guys don't have a clue as to how to get us out o f this mess and are will to plunder even more while the masses continue to suffer.

To think that you think this govt is responsible is pitiable.

WHO VOTED THEM IN?

What is your point. Minimum wage negotiation is on the table and regardless of sentiments Labour should try to get the best out of people you yourself claim are thieves.

Is it the same thieves that you also want to reduce inflation that you think will want to do anything to disrupt their stealing channel.

Na you dey play.

Do you own a company? Have you ever had to pay people's wages and salaries? Do you know that wages and salaries should never be more than a certain percentage of what a company makes?

My point is simple, a 1000% increase is INSANITY, labor can say or do whatever they want, it is up to a responsible government to tell them f*ck off!

No they will struggle to pay. But when they Govs and senators want to discuss an issue they will travel abroad to go discuss it, buy 160m jeep each for their comfort coupled with the constituency and security votes that they siphon each month, bribe each other with dollars during election, increase electricity tariffs at their discretion and then devalue the naira for whatever reason and the corruption that follows they don't see any reason to struggle for all that but to pay higher wages they will struggle and people like you will only see when the struggling masses are trying to do something to survive.

The 615k might be unrealistic but it's a good place to start.

You're using sentiments, you want to compare people that are stealing to salary earners....DEY PLAY! A good place to start, una no dey use logic grin grin

So many paid agents on this platform who tactfully avoid the main issues.
What are the main issues?
1. To have a labour force awake to their duties.
2. Checkmate workers always asking for bribes.
3.To arrest the brain drain in the country.

The purpose of the proposed living wage is to ensure the lowest worker, his/her spouse and 4 dependants can live a basic life without the need to seek extra.

Now, with that said, let's really break it down:
N270,000÷30 days= N9,000 per day for 6 persons.
Meaning N1,500 per person daily
Or N500 per meal.

Is that too much?

Next is transportation.
Unless we are lying to ourselves, a junior worker or senior worker all pay the same bus fare, the same as school children.

Let's break it down.
N110,000÷22 days= 5,000 per day
Working father: N2,000 (to and fro).
Market mother: N1,000 (to and fro)
4 school kids: N500×4= 2000 daily

Is that too much?

Factor in Rent, Clothing, medication, utilities and you see. This family are just surviving.

This won't lead to inflation, rather stability in the economy because, money will flow again as purchasing power has increased.
An unemployed person who engages in a trade or learns a skill is sure of patronage because people can afford his services.

All these kids on this platform still eating "Mummy-thank you" cannot understand because all they see is the lump sum.

Who's going to pay it? Is it the same people struggling to pay 30k? If they can claim lack of funds to pay 30k on time, what gives you the confidence that they'll ever pay over 1000% increase, NO BE JUJU BE THAT?

All in all, the government is still the one to blame. Consumer pricing regulation is a thing in Western countries, the natural mind of any enterpreneur is to make the most profits, it is up to governemnt to make laws and implment them to curtail abuse such as price gourging and market manipulation/monopoly.

I repeat, making profits is the most naturally human thing an enterpreneur can do! Why would I sell you something for a 10% profit when I can easily get a 40% profit due to demand and other market forces.....I dey mad ni? grin grin grin

Are you aware Nigeria is supplying Neighboring countries with 24hrs supply electricity? How come they still pay lesser??

Can you name those countries and how much they are paying? I'm not talking about their citizens but their governemnt. For example Ghana's payment for electricity is not only cash, it comes with certain trade elements as well including subsidy from their government.
Politics / Re: Are You Willing To Pay N178,000 Monthly For A 24-hour Electricity Supply? by abbey621(m): 12:12am On Apr 04
Whether you're in America or Nigeria, power generation no be beans! It has nothing to do with wages or what you earn. The cost to generate electricity will always dictate what you pay. For example, electricity is way cheaper in Alabama than California because California suffers from excessive drought and over population.

It does not matter if people in the USA are spending less than $200 per month on 24/7 electricity, if the cost to generate same electricity is much higher in Nigeria then Nigerians will naturally pay more.

So rather than dream of impossibilities such as 1 million minimum wage, the discussion should be how can we make electricity generation cheaper in Nigeria.
