Ignore the parking brake
Even if you are parked on a level surface, there is really no reason not to use the parking brake. If you do not engage the parking brake, the entire weight of your vehicle is placed on a small piece of metal in the transmission, the parking pawl. It's only about as big as your finger, so it can wear out if you hold that weight. By using the parking brake, the load is relieved, which keeps sensitive transmission components longer.
Keep the tank low
Many fuel pumps stay cool when they stay submerged in the fuel. So if you regularly run to a quarter or less, there is a risk that the fuel pump must be replaced faster. Paying more at the gas station may sting, but it does not hurt as much as needing a new fuel pump.
Abrupt change of car reverse
It may not seem that bad at the moment, but over time such sudden changes in direction can really damage your transmission. Stop completely before moving on instead. This only adds a second of time and will prevent future damage to the engine, transmission or axle.
Turning before the engine is hot
Letting your car rest for a minute or two just after starting is a good idea. It helps to distribute the oil in the engine and to put the engine block and the oil at temperature. Running the engine will not speed up the process. In fact, this could cause easily avoided damage. The cold regime causes sudden changes in temperature that create a constraint between the well-fitting components of the engine. A strong acceleration consumes a ton of fuel and imposes a heavy load on the components of the transmission. Full force stops cause rapid wear of the brake pads and rotors.
Using the switch as a hand rest
Driving a car with a manual gearbox can be a lot of fun, and as you row through the aisles, it feels like you have one hand on the steering wheel and the other on the gear lever. Not If you keep your hand on the gear lever, the bushings and synchronizers of the gearbox are overloaded, which leads to premature wear. It is best to leave both hands on the steering wheel. They help your transmission and can take over control if you need to make a sudden steering maneuver.
The clutch abuse

While removing a few pounds of weight, you can only add an extra mile to a gas boiler, which can really make a difference in the long run. The Brake Rides Down
Sometimes you have to brake if you go down to avoid running too fast. Fight against corruption should be systematic, pragmatic and sustained. Immediately Buhari started with the concept that he and certain other people are above corruption, I knew we have lost the fight before it started. Everybody has the potential to be corrupt. EFCC, ICPC, DSS, President, etc.
A sincere and realistic fight against corruption will systematically identify what is corruption. There will not be room for assumptions. Are we fighting mere stealing, embezzlement, bribery, extortion, systematic and legally supported public fund mismanagement, use of security vote, improper award of contracts, improper and unfair allocation of public funds. Police extortion, improper subsidization of government workers etc.
Then identify the different institutions to fight it. Police will fight under the Criminal code. EFCC under its law, customs under its laws, the judiciary etc. Then develop an administrative command for coordination and liaison. This is to avoid arresting judges and declaring that corruption is a state security issue. That is also another form of corruption. Administrative harassment of judges. The assumption here is DSS are saints but judges can be corrupt. ( I laugh).

Most of them don't even know why it's done, they just do it because they saw others doing it. These popular people whom many have chosen as role models have led many into emulating the same idea. That's why many Nigerian ladies on Facebook now have hyphenated names.
This new trend which seems like what has come to stay is a total disregard for God and tradition. Please read the below Bible passages.

The first excuse women who have hyphenated names give is that they are honoring their father who raised them by giving them the best which made them who they are today. That's why they have to retain his name when married just to ensure his name lives on. This is stupidity at it's highest order. Such a woman is only satisfying her ego and not her father.
Did the poor man ever asked to be honored let alone in that way? Did he tell you that when he got married to his own wife, he allowed her to do such to him? Why do you now think he will be happy to know you are causing pain to a young man who is your husband all in the name of an honor he never asked for?
The above passage says you should honor your father and mother, but before that it says OBEY your parents. Failing to do the first part is the reason why you are honoring your father in the wrong manner. If you truly love your father, then why did you disobey what he did on the day you got married?
On the day you got married, he did something symbolic which is very traditional. He walked you down to the altar and handed you over to the man whom you got married to on your wedding day. What he simply did was handover authority over you to your husband and new daddy. It is him you are to obey henceforth. Not saying you are to now start disregarding your parents, but they now have a little authority over your life.
You obeyed your father while under his roof. He gave you the best due to your obedience. Now that he has given you to a man as wife, it is that man you are to obey just as you did your father. Bringing in your father or his name into the man's house is the same as having two captains in a ship. Your father won't even want that because such was never done to him. Hyphenating your name is the same as saying that when your father walked you down the alter, he never handed you over to your husband, instead he also got married to him just as you did.
Some women will say they hyphenate just to preserve their father"s name. Won't that same name die when you die? Can you see how stupid that reasoning is?
