I raised a webform July-2025 and got this response from Canada-Lagos Immigration Centre. Tho, my agent is kinda hard mehnnn. He wont give out the login details easily. I had My upfront since July-2024, had my biometrics Feb-2025..Guys,, plz,,no insults ooo,,plz,,what are my chances of getting a PPR especially since i had my biometrics in Feb-2025. (V1122223343)
Also, when i went for my biometrics at VFS Centre, i was told to drop my own email address and contact detail that i'll definitely get a response directly from IRCC. it has been 8months and counting. no response except the one in the screenshot after i raised a webform.

I also heard that getting a response from Canada-Lagos Immigration Centre is positive sign even if i didnt use the registered mail to raise the webform. Source said that it simply means that my application is now being handle in Lagos an not Nairobi and possibly that the final stage.. I might be wrong but i just need clarity without insults..

Agent apply work visa for you and the most important document (LMIA) in the whole application is hidden from you
but you sign one job offer toilet paper printed under the bridge in Lagos to apply visit visa for you and you expecting work permit from Canada
and you still believe it not a scam =)

Abeg prepare your mind for the worst because best is missing in this ur situation and l hope you never sell ur landed properties?

At this stage, common bro, I don't think it's a scam anymore..maybe the application number starting with "V" instead of "W" is what I don't understand, But if you gat any update about this bro, you can feed me please.

This is most likely a scam. The “V” in your application number means it’s a visitor visa, not a work permit. Your agent likely misled you. VFS is only responsible for biometrics — after that, only IRCC handles your application, so don’t expect any update from VFS. Also, who gave you a job without an LMIA? Most real job offers in Canada require one. Be careful . this situation has many signs of fraud.

Well,i have been through alot with my agent before we got to this stage, we fight, quarrel, returned funds back and forth, Infact, you guys don't wanna hear the full gist but somehow, I believe everything's gonna come out clean.

Besides,done upfront medicals.
Positive LMIA received by *him*.. Emphasis on *him* because I didn't get to see it..
Job offer signed but I didn't get to do it myself either.
I just needed a time frame to prepare my mind for the best.

If your application number starts with a "V" that means ur agent didnt apply for work permit for you but visit visa. Work permit number starts with "W".
If u had not heard anything yet, just wait some more time or u can go to him and ask him to open ur portal and show u.

Yes,I will gladly share with you,

First of all, I embarked on this journey with my Agent since 2022, he agreed with my dad that he can get me a working Visa for a good price of which we are suppose to pay him twice, (the opening process and the closing process.)

To cut the long story short, I just had my upfront medicals last week including submission of my police clearance certificate and i sent all this documents to him via WhatsApp.

Prior to that, all the documents my agent has been sending does not look like a legitimate document, they are all fake or probably duplicated docs but, he keeps assuring me blindly that he knows what he's doing. Starting from the offer letter down to UCI and application number, I don't trust whatever he's doing but I just keep following up because he's kind of related to my Dad.

He keeps saying his contact over there in Canada are doing this on purpose just so we don't know the secret to how this is done or so .

Please I need your assistance regards any information you can offer me as this man doesn't seems to agree with me and I don't want them to ruin my other chances with their fake docs and false information.

Any available information will help, I can also share all my docs with you if u need to verify anything.

Please note,, I have done my medicals and I noticed I have gat an IME number already attached to my name while running the medicals,, but I can't find my legitimate UCI number or other details..

Didn’t u have any interview with the employer?
Is the agent a licensed immigration consultant for IRCC?

At times LMIA can take lots of time especially when you’re outside Canada 🇨🇦

I’ll suggest, you research broadly on the employer via google search their company etc
Or, you confront the agent to give you details about the application after all you’re paying for his/her services

That is the bitter truth. It usually takes 2 to 3 months before LMIA will be approved. After that, you work permit will be submitted. It takes up to 2 years for the general process. Just be patient and learn some skills while u wait.

Just have it in the back of your mind that this route requires patience. Maybe your agent didn't tell you. Even though it's 99% sure that you will get a work permit (temporary foreign worker), you will have to wait for a minimum of 2years. Just get your upfront medical, a bogus POF, do your Wes evaluation (for PR process),learn skills and get certified while you wait.

To cut the long story short, as at March-2023, I got a job offer for the role of a Farmer including an invitation letter stating the conditions of the job through my agent. Please note that all the information I have had came through my Agent's email and not mine.

According to my Agent,,,the LMIA processing fee wud be paid by my employee and every other necessary fee as regards tmy traveing. But I have to be patient for atleast 2months b4 everything can be ready.

Now,,it's over 3months that we've been on this LMIA processing issue but he keeps telling to be patient that my employer is still working on it..

I have searched for the company's details online but i can only get little information about the employers information on the internet.

I have been really skeptical about all the processes but I just need anyone from Nairaland who can assist me with any vital information as regards this processes and I'll be extremely grateful.

Remember I said these loan apps sent messages to my contact list some months ago until I paid back....but this time around,,i've defaulted for 3weeks and nothing has been done to me or my contact list as usual..and i'm 100% certain they won't do shit,I was able to beat them with the trick above.

Your contacts are saved on the cloud bro,,any change u make to your contact list wud 100% take effect on their database.....no be juju,,,na technology bro....

Now imagine u initially save my number as "Abbey" on your sim card for example,and u decided to change my name from "abbey" to "Harbey",,,this wud take effect on MTN database immediately,,,if u Decide to delete my number,,,it wud also take effect on MTN database and every other database there-on...I'm 100% certain about this..


Now put it like diz,,,this loan apps don't really have the resources to store or download ur data and save to anywhere,,, never....them no fit,,,I repeat,,,Dem no fit.....

They only have access to these data once needed and by then,,Yu wud have out-smart them..also note,,,these works perfectly before ur due date...

My loan is now 3weeks overdue..no calls/text message was sent to any of my relevant contacts...a big thanks to Naijaboy,Ekene101 and Moborlarh,,..

I used to be scared of 9credit,Ncash and Lcash bcus they have had access to my contacts several times,,but this time around,,I was able to beat Dem black and blue...

For those apps that have contacted your people before,, and Yu hope to bypass them,,this is what u'll do..
1. Download Google contact from playstore.

2. Create a new email address and move all your contacts from your old email to ur new email address using Google contact app.(note,,, don't "COPY" all your contacts from your old mail to the new email address oh,, instead you "MOVE" all contacts from old email to new email address such that when u are done,,u won't have any contact on ur old email address).

3. Remove the new email from ur phone and login the new email into another phone to be sure all ur contacts are saved into the new email.

4. Start saving dummy contact to ur your current email address with ur phone.

5. Long-press on any of the loan apps,, deny all permissions given to them,,

6. Long-press on any of the loan apps,, go-to "storage",, clear cache and also clear storage..

If Yu do all this perfectly...I'm 100% certain no loan app wud ever call/text any message to any of your relevant contacts..

Tested and trusted method...

My loan with 9credit,Lcash and Ncash is overdue for 4days now....so far,,all they've been doing is just to call and threaten me..(also note,,I have defaulted some months back and this loan sharks almost ruined my life b4 I paid back...that is,,,they called and texted alota people on my contact)..

But now,,I no get 1kobo to pay Dem( 118k in total for 3apps)..

Hopefully if I don't get any calls from any of my real contacts this week and next week...I go happy scatta...
