Yaungdee: I tink u are suffering from hole in the brain..are we of same personality dat we see or perceive things d same way? Tank God u said as far as u are concern insult means nothing to u "dats ur person"..well I don't av anytin to say to u becos I knw u are one of those dat stirs up a thread..
....and dis is coming from someone that supposedly hate 'insult'. Lucky you, I don't av d time to be trading words with u, I av better things to do, so consider dis as a 'one time offer'.
EducationRe: OOU 2013/2014 Admission by Abbycite(m): 10:37pm On Oct 19, 2013
Yaungdee: Well at this juncture I tink by now everyone is familiar with the school and every element consist of it..tank God u choosed d skul, passed ur jamb, u wrote d skul's exam, and some of u here passed..its only the list that's remaining which I knw its no big deal and would be out soon..I respect ma reputation a lot and wouldn't want anyone to trample on it especially someone who is not up to ma last born all in the name of trying to fetch information for u to get u updated..tank God didn't collect money from anyone to provide here which means I owe no debt and fucking free to laylow..I believe my bro from anoda mother will continue this task so excellently(irewunmi)..
Ogbeni Yaungdee relax....creating a thread should not make u feel too important. D guy didn't even say anything wrong as far as am concern. If u don't want to update d Jambites, just stay off d thread and see if dem no go get admission. What are u feeling like?
EducationRe: ASUU Strike: A Lecturer Speaks by Abbycite(m): 11:00am On Oct 16, 2013
prof.femi:
I am sounding selfish because I observed that people smarter than you (and smarter than me) have already shown us what to do to grow our nation? No, if you detect a new edginess in my voice, it is not due to selfishness, but due to incredulity and frustration at how some of you guys think.

I noted that so numerous countries have demonstrated the importance of education (and yes, in particular, *tertiary* education) and you come back with an argument about security etc. Don't you guys understand that *part* of the reasons for the insecurity is the neglect of education? Now we are paying the first installment of the price and you guys still don't get it.

Look, don't believe me, go see how the South Koreas (the most recent example) did it. Before you complain, that's also how *everyone* before them did it.

You guys need to move beyond your hatred of ASUU and get an education on what the critical issues are. Sorry if you think I sound selfish again.
Here is d thing Prof, u can choose to say anything to justify ur ASUU claims but say it to urself. because it won't change d fact that 'we can't give what we don't have'.
EducationRe: ASUU Strike: A Lecturer Speaks by Abbycite(m): 9:33pm On Oct 15, 2013
prof.femi:
Obviously, you did not really understand my initial post. I said the book on nation-building has been written many times. We know what to do if we want to get ahead. All this one we are doing is just time wasting. There is no "pace of developing" that we can have that should not start with developing tertiary education.Unless we want to remain a perpetual developing nation?
Prof, you are beginning to sound selfish (no offense intended). U said 'tertiary education' not even education generally. But can a country progress without adequate security. Do u believe that if d FG pump all d budgetary allocation of other sectors into ur 'tertiary education', and d Boko boys decided to 'strike' one of d institutions, d 'technology-know-how' of d lecturers will avert d calamity.

Is about time we do our bit in building this great nation and let d system work.... Governing a nation is not always as easy as pple take it to be. Am sure GEJ as a former lecturer would have had d same view when he was still a member of ASUU. The same thing happen to Oshiomole as labour leader who is now in charge of a state. It is one thing to be a labour leader where u av d luxury to be 'selfish' in ur agitation, it is another thing to be a president of a country where u av to consider all sectors of d nation b4 taking any major decision.

Way to go....
EducationRe: ASUU Strike: A Lecturer Speaks by Abbycite(m): 7:24pm On Oct 13, 2013
The bottomline is:

ASUU is selfish partly because 'u can't be clamouring for balanced diet when majority of d people are dying of hunger. We need to realize that, Nigeria has it own pace of developing, any attempt to push our luck may result in calamity. Every aspect of d country is underfund; education, power, health, security, infrastructure, just name it. ASUU should meet the FG half way. Let's forget about the terms of agreement, what matters most is d spirit of d agreement which is developing d nation as a whole. You don't expect d FG to cough out that much of money because doing that would mean depriving other sectors their funds.

Government on their part should be responsible. A president word should be binding. U don't come on air every other time to say something as a president and do something else. When a president speak, people should be reassured. Not d usual 'we are working on it' while nothing is being done.... In d spirit of patriotism, let's move d country FORWARD.

EducationRe: ASUU Snubs FG No Work No Pay Threat by Abbycite(m): 11:35am On Aug 26, 2013
Wait o.....Are they being paid for the period of strike? That would be irresponsible from the part of the government. How can a sector go on a meaningless/meaningful strike and you continue paying them for the work they refuse to do.
It has come a stage where I will advise the striking lecturers to honourably resign if they felt their working condition is not topnotch. Give space for the young and vibrant Nigerians that want to sweat and build this country not people that keep waiting for the government to provide everything for them.

BOTTOMLINE: It is now clear that ASUU is a bunch of hypocrites....so far, the little they have provided for them, what have they done with it? Are they not the same set of people that are molesting their female students, or those it required N500 billion to stop that. Those it require N87 billion to start coming to lecture hall regularly. What are they saying?
EducationRe: ASUU Strike Continues by Abbycite(m): 6:44am On Aug 02, 2013
Is ASUU waiting for the FG to start building laboratories and furnishing d building before calling d strike off. Now I believe d problem is from d lecturer itself, because I can't understand their demand anymore... They are just bunch of lazy association. If they are not ready to work, let them resign enmass and give opportunities to those that are ready to....#mtchew#

Sometimes I pity my country....as far as am concern, we are running one-party system in dis country...imagine d so called opposition parties are even worse than d ruling party...we find it hard to vote for the alternate parties because they are running d same ideology which is 'no integrity'. I still believe in d Pdp led government...'cos d devil I know is better than d one I don't know
CrimeRe: Uniport Shut Down As Students Set Umuokiri-aluu Ablaze! by Abbycite(m): 7:03am On Oct 10, 2012
Francis Diote: This students shoud stop wasting their time and focus on their studies. They didnt think before this action, what will happen when the villagers mobilise cos they own the community. Many more students will die because of this silly action all because of the excesses of some spoilt rich students (R.I.P), they also forget that He who muders sleep shall know no sleep.
Let d villagers mobilize and they will know how furious some other students in other schools are right now. As a matter of fact, UNIPORT student are too lenient, by now I xpect d whole village to be a big 'footbal field' (burnt to ashes). Aluu is not d only community in dis barbaric acts but I want pple to make reference to ALUU whenever they are about to do d same...
PoliticsRe: Achebe's Civil War Memoir's Invitation For Fresh War — CPC by Abbycite(m): 12:57pm On Oct 07, 2012
One thing I have deduced from all d Igbos comment above is that, no matter their age, sex or status, d thinking faculty is always d same. By dis time, I expect them to av learnt lessons about war. But in case they don't, let us give them points to remember:

* B4 starting a war, be rest assure of at least one super power backing. Not d support of countries like Uganda, Cyprus and co.

* U have to be sure of ur strategy to sustain ur people economically so that u don't av to rely on ur enemy to be d major supplier of foods.

* Let all hand be on deck, I mean u surround urself with all manner of intellectual and patriotic advisers that will not necessarily be at d war front but will see what soldiers will not see.

* And lastly and most importantly, don't be an Ojukwu that will mislead his pple to blieve that they are capable of conquering d world. Whereas all they really have is d zeal and machetes to confront armour tanks, machine guns etc.

I put dis forward because I can sense some gullible and silly human being that av failed to learn from d stories of d past war...now they can sit behind their computers to clamour for war. #I pity una#

ayoola2002: For this comment, u have won urself a number one FOOL Award of the day. The guy is doing great at chelsea, he help them to win fa cup and cl last season, is even in first team. What else do want from him?
Nice question? What I want in a Mikel Obi is what I see in defensive midfielders like Yaya Toure, Busquets, Essien, Alonso. So because Mikel won d CL, he should win d award? Then Toress should win d Ballon d'or too..

however we have progressed in a self destructive manner, corruption, unemployment, ethnocentric division, comatose infrastructure, vision less leadership etc
Stop comparing Nigeria with those countries u mentioned....d pace at which u build a bungalow is faster than d pace at which u build a skyscraper...

I tell u those countries cannot survive an hour what we face on a daily basis here...
PoliticsRe: What Has Nigeria Achieved So Far? by Abbycite(m): 5:46pm On Sep 30, 2012
Nigeria has achieve nothing and yet people (Bakassi) don't want to join another country...

If Nigeria is not good enough for u, u are free to cross d border to Chad, Niger, Cameroun, Benin or better still jump into d Atlantic ocean and swim abroad...very simple!

I wonder when we will begin to ask ourselves about what we have contributed to d success of Nigeria...

For all those clamouring for d disintegration of dis country.....by d time u realize that is not d problem of Nigeria it would be too late to go back....by dat time, each street would be clamouring for independence.

Really, are we as big as d Americans or are we as diversify as them....if they can pull their resources together to make a big nation as they were, I wonder why we find it hard to toe d same line...

And pls stop blaming OBJ, he chose d best option...
