XXXwhistleblowe:
Gone at the days when it was easy to have long conversations and all, phone calls is going extinct. My phone only rings when my mom and dad calls to check up on me or when my so called friends needs me. The world is busy and I'm afraid I can't keep up.
Scrolling through my whatsapp feeds, some are clubbing, others preaching. But still no messages. I initiate a chat and it goes thus
Me: hi
Friend: sup
Me: I'm good
Me;you
Friend: same here

And that's the end.

I always feel empty most times.
My girlfriend has been giving me attitude because I'm yet to get a job 2 months after service. She rubs it in my face that other guys are willingly providing for her.
The love has become toxic and I know I should gave her space but I keep running back to her and she keeps being flippant with her words.
I want to be busy, I'm trying to be busy but opportunities aren't forthcoming.
The only person who shows me care is mY mum.
It shall be better bro, try to see who you trusted allies are, even family can betray you, forget women for now, ignore those who say you will need a woman to pass thru all these with you, hit it big and flex them, they aint loyal and they are just an unnecessary distraction from your goals. Go out more and do crazy things....things unbecoming of you (Please no crime abeg) and even you will suprise yourself

I understand you bro,I've been like alone forever, never had a gf really or felt what true love really is,I'm socially awkward I don't have many friends,my social meida handles are drier than the Sahara desert and I hardly go out to socialize or have interactions with people,it bothered me because my life became miserable as my parents took notice of my loneliness. I hardly get phone calls from anyone except my parents, during festive seasons I get nothing from anyone except from my family, during my birthdays only about 4 or 5 friends send me wishes even though I send a ton to others on their anniversaries I guess you don't always get what you give,i know it may sound like I'm a stuck up person who decided to cut ties with everyone and expect to get the love I don't give but NO it became evident most of the peeps around me only were after what they could benefit from me,it made me depressed but every time I tried to fit in like make friends or ask girls out it always backfired then I thought to myself maybe you're just better of alone maybe this is your destiny,so I stopped bothering myself and ever since I accepted the fact that I'm a loner I stopped expecting things from people and life's been easier, self acceptance is key bro..
I will borrow a page from you, same shoes as op no job after nysc but things are promising just delayed is all, family will just offer you prayer only without any action and leave you to be cos they no that if you hit it big time they would still enjoy part of it, i feel betrayed by them and it hurts but well what the hell. I am at that stage that i always feared when i was young, single, cashless and no one to turn to....only my brains and a few believing friends in the same shoe as you who want to exit this malaise. It is well brother

Dapchi Girls: Hold Presidency Responsible for Abduction…Accuses FG of Lying to Nigerians

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) holds firmly that Nigerians should hold President Muhammadu Buhari-led Presidency directly responsible for the abduction of schoolgirls in Dapchi, Yobe state and several other atrocities committed by insurgents against citizens, particularly in the northern part of the country.

The Buhari Presidency has put Nigerians at risk by deceiving the people and issuing false performance indices suggesting that insurgents have been completely routed out, a situation which made our unsuspecting citizens trust a lie and dropped their guards in the face of real threats and danger.

Without doubt, if the incompetent All Progressives Congress (APC)-led government had not dished out lies to the people in a bid to score cheap political points for its ill-lucked 2019 re-election bid, more precautionary measures would have been adopted by the affected communities to ensure adequate protection.

While Nigerians are appalled by APC’s recourse to false indices in critical sectors, it is however, to say the least, an inexcusable height of wickedness to give a vulnerable people a false assurance of security when they are actually in danger.

Furthermore, the PDP decries as iniquitous, the efforts by APC-controlled federal authorities to suppress information on the abduction, leading to conflicting reports and frustrating of rescue mission, just because they seek to hide the failures of the presidency in ensuring the safety of Nigerians, particularly in the north.

We were shocked that in their proclivity to deceive, the authorities earlier informed Nigerians that some of the girls have been recovered only for the news to turn out to be false.

While President Buhari has not uttered any word of assurance, Government’s visiting team headed by the Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed only had a whistle stop at the Dapchi school and made no effort to interface or even commiserate with community leaders and parents of the abducted girls, while completely shutting out the media. This only further confirms APC’s insensitivity to the plight of Nigerians.

It is more irking that the President and Commander-in-Chief will publicly provide a day an asymmetry war will come to an end as if acts of insurgency are fought like a conventional warfare.

It is painful that Nigerians are faced today with a government that has been heavy on propaganda and issuing of false statistics, while playing down on several atrocities committed against defenseless citizens.

Under the PDP, Nigerians were never told lies on the true situation of the state of affairs in all sectors, particularly security. The PDP-led government constantly briefed Nigerians and carried all stakeholders along in our concerted effort in securing lives and property in our nation.

Nigerians and indeed the world must hold the Buhari Presidency and the APC-led Federal Government directly responsible for the abduction of these defenseless schoolgirls as well as the killings in our country today.

While the PDP stands with the parents of the abducted girls at this moment of their harrowing pains and prays for their speedy return, we implore our security forces to insulate themselves from APC propaganda, take very decisive professional steps to recover our girls and end the killings in our country.

This service is so boring. I have been so tired and bored recently. I really can't wait to leave here and just go back home. It's not like home won't be boring too. But at least I'll be bored in my father's house. In a familiar environment too. Oh! I'm forgetting a more stable electricity.

These days, my movement is so predictable. It's home to school, school back home. Except for Wednesdays when I have to go to CDs. There's been no hanging out...no random visits from people or to people. I've just always been home. I nap a lot. Very annoying how I pray for the day to end faster. I sleep at 12noon. After what I think to be five hours, I wake up only to find out it's 12.50pm. Haba! I can't sleep again till it's midnight. It's like my body system is conniving with the earth rotation to frustrate me. I don't even have to fun activities, or come in contact with people. So, I can at least have stories to tell.

I have never had such free schedule. Somehow, I wake up everyday, Saturdays included at 5.50am. I quietly pray, lips moving fervently but no sound. After that, I preheat my stew or soup...no light na. Take my bath. By 6.50am, I'm on my way to school. By 9.30, except for Mondays that I finish by 12noon. I'm home, lying on my bed and reading a novel or random stuffs on the internet. I sleep off soon after breakfast. Wake up earlier than I intend and do nothing, but read and eat until it's night again and I sleep. At least I'd put on some weight.

This has given me the opportunity to think more about my life. Things I'm going to change. How I'm going to be a better person.
My future. I'm enjoying this solitude. Although, sometimes it seems like loneliness comes creeping in like the shadow from the movie ' vanishing on 7th street' and just envelopes me. I now know how to deal with it when it happens. I've been reading a lot. Both hardcopy and soft copy. I'm also cooking and cleaning a lot. At least in all these, I'm sharpening my mind and adulting well. I'm beginning to enjoy my own company. At least I can laugh at my own short comings without being looked like a mad person. I didn't even know I was this funny until now. I started thinking up something or doing something and laughing alone. I never knew what it felt like to be happy without anybody. Whenever I bump into my neighbours. They are never around. We'll talk a little right before I go back in and enjoy my company, the best company.

If someone had told me there will be a time when the slightest of noise would bother me. I would have just assumed the person was giving a shot at predictions. Now, I hate noise. Whenever my compound becomes too noisy, I hiss continuously and when my mouth goes dry from hissing, I sigh and just will them to shut up from my room. I got myself an ear piece. Listening to music more. Especially, when I take a break from reading or when the noise becomes unbearable. I had forgotten I had such amazing playlists. Singing along and smiling at the lyrics that spoke to me. Dancing as I clean my room or just when the song touches me that way. Imagining, myself in a party I'd never go. I've often imagined myself being the girl both Ed sheeran and James Arthur are singing about.

My phone rarely rings too. I like that part a lot, I've always been scared of phone calls... It's one of those phobias with long names. Especially from numbers I don't know. I hate all those accusations of ' you've forgotten me na '. Very annoying.
I am not completely used to this ' staying alone without being bored or lonely ' thing, but I'm beginning to get a hang of it. I never knew I could catch so much fun being on my own.
Solitude is a good place to go but terrible place to stay in.

Test Your Popularity Now - PDP Challenges APC

…Hails PDP’s Sweeping Victory in Delta LG Polls
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) challenges the All Progressives Congress (APC) to immediately test its popularity among Nigerians by conducting free, fair and credible local council elections in states under its control.
We all know that the APC is mortally afraid of going into any election, particularly at the grassroots, as Nigerians across board are bitter with them for their deceit and the wrecking of our once robust economy.
Nigerians are also at pains over the poor welfare direction of the ruling party which has resulted in the penetrating hardship now being suffered under the APC controlled Federal Government misrule.
The APC is petrified because Nigerians have renewed their interest in the PDP as the only genuine people-oriented party.
This new thinking among Nigerians has been clearly demonstrated with PDP’s sweeping victory in Osun senatorial bye election as well as the recent local council polls in Ekiti and Delta states.
Today, the APC knows it cannot go back to the same electorate it scammed in 2015 with lies and empty promises; promises of bogus jobs, monthly stipends, free meals, free houses, reduction of fuel price, bringing the dollar to the same value with the naira and other phantom promises.
The APC knows it cannot face the more than 8 million Nigerians it has rendered jobless with its reckless policies. They know that judgment awaits them from thousands of workers who were unjustly sacked in the states where APC governors rule, particularly Kogi and Kaduna.
The APC cannot also return to the states where countless helpless families' breadwinners painfully paid the supreme price due to untold hardship under their misrule.
The party also knows it cannot return to the families of those slaughtered in Benue, Taraba, Adamawa, Borno and other parts of the country by marauders encouraged and emboldened by the indifference of the Federal Government and the unguarded comments from unpatriotic Presidential aides.
That is why instead of facing the people, APC governors, who are now scared stiff of the looming disgrace awaiting them, are busy running to Abuja for help, forgetting that the President Muhammadu Buhari-led Presidency will also face an inevitable crushing defeat in 2019.
The fact is that Nigerians now know the difference between the anti-people, deceitful and inept APC and the democratic, development-driven PDP which, in its 16 years in power, led the nation to economic boom, cleared huge foreign debts, repositioned the banking sector, championed the telecoms revolution we all now enjoy, revamped the railways, built new universities, reformed the ports, facilitated unprecedented growth in small and medium enterprises and placed the nation as major global investment destination.
The landslide victories of the PDP in the recent elections are therefore incontrovertible response by the people not only to the achievements of our government in the states but also to the ideological disposition of the PDP as one genuine democratic platform where all Nigerians are free to socially express, politically aspire and economically flourish.
Our advice to the APC now is that they should stop deluding themselves with the electoral happenstance they earned by lies and propaganda in 2015 as Nigerians have now reconnected with their original political platform, the PDP, to move the nation forward come 2019.

Abia Mega Rally: APC Is Insensitive to Plight of Nigerians

The APC mega rally held in Umuahia, Abia state capital, today, is the height of disdain, insensitivity and insult of the ruling party to the plight and predicaments of Nigerians under their misrule.

If anything, the ruling party was in Umuahia just to spit on the faces of suffering Nigerians as well as the graves of those that have died due to the hardship occasioned by the misgovernment of the APC in their nearly three years in office.

Nigerians were disheartened to see leaders of the ruling party dancing away and making vain speeches at a time when millions are still traumatized over killings in Benue and other parts of the country, while many more are groaning under the pains of economic hardship worsened by the unabating fuel crisis in the country.

If the APC had any iota of regard for Nigerians, it would, at this moment, be brainstorming on the many woes it has caused the nation and how to shore up the economy ruined by its tactless government.

The Umuahia rally has also shown that the APC leaders are not in any way interested in the welfare of Nigerians but in their selfish, political and pecuniary interests. This even manifested in their empty speeches wherein they could not present the people with any achievement or plans for future development.ex

Perhaps the APC would have learnt a lesson from the scanty turnout of Nigerians at their so called “mega rally.” The cold response by the few attendees, the refusal of the people to brandish brooms and the total absence of cheers for their leaders, including the National Chairman, Chief John Oyegun, constitute a loud act of rejection.

Again, we invite the APC to reflect on their failure to fulfill even the littlest of the promises they made to Nigerians in 2015. We urge Abians, and indeed, every Nigerian to take heed from the failed promises of the APC and refuse to be beguiled a second time.

Buhari's Re-Election Campaign: PDP Demands Amaechi's Resignation Says APC Insensitive to the plight of Nigerians

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) on Thursday demanded the immediate resignation of the Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi, from the federal executive council. The PDP, which hinged its demand on the appointment of Amaechi as the Director-General (DG) of President Muhammadu Buhari's second term campaign, also accused the All Progressives Congress (APC) of being insensitive to the plight of Nigerians. “If APC has any strand of dignity, then Amaechi must resign as the Minister of Transportation having been appointed and already functioning as the DG of President Buhari's Campaign. “Under the constitution of Nigeria, Mr. Amaechi cannot combine the job of a minister of the Federal Republic with another responsibility such as the DG of a campaign organization. "Amaechi's action in accepting the job while still holding office as minister is in clear breach of the oath of office and the oath of allegiance which he swore in line with the provisions of the 1999 Constitution (As Amended). He should therefore resign his office as minister with immediate effect", it said. The party noted that Amaechi, perhaps in his desperation for recognition, has already began to function as the DG Campaign for Buhari second term, adding that, he already held meetings with some of the governors elected on the platform of the APC. It recalled that when as a serving Minister of Works, Chief Tony Anenih was appointed to head the campaign of then President Olusegun Obasanjo, Chief Anenih resigned as Minister. Accusing APC of being insensitive to the plight of Nigerians, the PDP expressed shock that APC is more interested in setting up an electoral structure for a second term when Nigerians are dying daily of hunger and poverty while others are being slaughtered in their communities by mauraders, all owing particularly to APC's dismal performance in its nearly three years in office. “Is it not instructive for Nigerians to now know that the APC has not the littlest agenda on governance for our people and do not have the interest of Nigerians at heart. They have shown that all they care for is their selfish political and pecuniary interests", the PDP said. The party therefore urged Nigerians to respond with the full force of the votes and kick out the selfish and incompetent APC out of office come 2019.

Press Statement PDP Bemoans Benue, Kaduna, Rivers Killings,…Charges Presidency, APC To Search Their Conscience

The national leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) on Thursday described the recent massacre of defenseless Nigerians in Benue, Rivers, Kaduna and other states by marauders as extremely wicked, iniquitous and horrifying.
The party also flayed as inexcusable, the failure of President Muhammadu Buhari-led APC Federal Government to act upon early danger signs and threats by taking cautionary measures that could have averted the killings, particularly in Benue state. PDP National Publicity Secretary, Kola Ologbondiyan, in a statement on Thursday further lamented the insensitivity of the APC Presidency which reacted to the ugly incidents only after the PDP and well-meaning Nigerians called them to task. The party said the height of insensitivity of the APC Presidency became glaring in its reaction, wherein a media aide issued some apathetic and indifferent lines without any precise commitment towards bringing the perpetrators to book and assurances of adequate security to forestall a reoccurrence. The PDP also called on the Presidency to have some soul-searching with regard to its silence and loud indifference whenever citizens fall under such horrifying attacks. “What a way to start the new year? The sheer insensitivity of the APC Government have continued to cause our nation a lot of pain and sorrow. Is it not only a careless and inept leadership like the APC government that will ignore the danger signs in any part of the country and leave its citizens defenseless, just to be massacred by marauders? If the APC Federal Government had effectively acted upon the danger signs and had provided adequate security in flash points across the country, particularly in Benue state, north central and Southern Kaduna area, this massacre of Nigerians, who were already impoverished by the APC's misrule, could have been prevented. “Is it not a tragic trajectory of governance that while the APC Presidency was busy basking on its orchestrated New Year self-praise and empty promises, bandits were having a field day mowing down citizens in cold blood? Is it not also an irony that when the government was prompted to react to the spate of killings, all its officials could do was to respond in a most indifferent, nearly unconcerned and almost without compassion manner?
“Indeed, PDP aligns with Nigerians that the APC and the Presidency should have a serious soul searching on their clear indifference towards the persistent killings and maiming of citizens by bandits who constantly invade communities, slaughter the people and walk away with blood of our compatriots in their hands. We insist that for the nation to be reassured, the Federal Government must show commitment by ensuring that the perpetrators of these killings are immediately brought to book and made to face the full wrath of the law.
We therefore charge our military and other security agencies to leave no stone unturned in this direction. Nigeria belongs to all of us; every citizen has a right to life and no man should take the life of another for any reason or under any guise whatsoever, the statement said.
The PDP commiserated with the families of the victims, even as it directed its members across board to assist and continue to pray for them.
