true2god: The world, as at 2000yrs ago was not as developed as it is now. You can stand on a highest cliff and have a widest view of the earth. The writer of matthew is painting a picture here, and that is the glory of the world, which was shown to Jesus and to be given him as a gift, if only he bow down and worship the devil.

I know you are being sarcastic here, the bible had already made it clear that the earth is circullar and hanged on nothing (i.e on the space) and I have given you the bible verses that supports that claim.
Really? Was it the holy spirit that inspired this message or you just gave it out of your own wisdom? How far can the eyes see for Jesus to have seen the whole earth from the top of a mountain?

Even if Jesus A.S had telescopes for eyes, there is no way he could have seen the whole earth from the top of a mountain.

golpen: Further, the, Bible says Genesis, Ch. 1, Verses 9 to 13… ‘Earth was created on the 3rd day. How can you have a night and day without the earth ?  The day depends upon the rotation of the Earth Without the earth created, how can you have a night and day? Bible says in Genesis Ch. No. 1 Verses No. 3 and 5,…‘Light was created on the first day.’ Genesis, Ch., 1 Verses, 14 to 19… ‘The cause of light - stars and the sun, etc. was created on the fourth day’.  How can the cause of light be created on the 4th day - later than the light which came into existence on the first day?

Let a christian please explain this above if they can...
Only if they could answer.....

onegig: Which email did you register with? The pm goes into the inbox of the mail you registered with.
I registered with a gmail account. Let's assume that I want to send you a pm, I go to your account and click 'send E-mail message to onegig'. I get there and realize that I can't edit the subject nor edit the body of the mail.

What I saw there is:

''Hello onegig,

AbdH would like to send you an email message, but since you're not connected, you'll need to contact AbdH by replying this email.

Please, I've read where people have maintained that they exchange e-mails via nairaland but I have tried that to no avail for the past one year now. Can you put me through or at least direct me to a thread that can help? Jazakumullahu khayran.

I think you are sad and hurt. You assumed that you had built for yourself a cool image on nairaland which was battered by other bigots like you.

Even if you open 1 million of demeaning pictures of Lagos, it won't change the fact that you can't survive without living in it - you can prove me wrong by staying back at home when you go for the next Christmas holidays.

By the way, would you have turned yourself to a photographer overnight if you had kept that Mr Biggs appointment? No!

Your thread is borne out of bitterness and not love for Lagos.
IslamRe: Do Muslims Truly Find It Hard To Forgive Easily? by AbdH: 7:36pm On Jul 29, 2014
In Makkah, his (Mohammad SAW) people inflicted him with every kind of suffering, eventually forcing him to emigrate to Madinah, and then waged war on him for five years.

However, when he conquered Makkah without bloodshed in the twenty-first year after announcing Prophethood, he asked the Makkan unbelievers who were awaiting his decision about them:
“How do you expect me to treat you?” They responded unanimously: "You are a noble one, the son of a noble one."
He announced to them his decision:
“You may go free! No reproach this day shall be on you; may Allah forgive you.”

———————————————
My point is; if the prophet SAW could forgive those who persecuted him, why would Muslims who take him as a role model not forgive others? Hmm?

We forgive others a lot.
If you find anyone who does not forgive easily, it is because that is who he or she is.....not what his or her religion teaches.
IslamRe: Sultan's Palace Admits That Celebrating 'id On Sunday Was An Error? by AbdH: 7:16pm On Jul 29, 2014
@AlBaqir,
the witness of one person was sufficient during the prophet's (SAW) time, why should less than fifty witnesses be insufficient now?

I'm confused.

My fasting ended on the 29th day of Ramadhan because of the announcement that the moon had been sighted. But for the fact that we are required to start or end fasting when the moon is sighted, I would have concluded it on 30.

If truly a statement came from the sultanate that it was an error, then it would mean that the error was from those people who claimed that they had seen it. The sultan followed the sunnah by believing them in the first place and by declaring that Ramadhan had finished, he proved that they were trustworthy enough to be believed. But if they had lied, the sin is on them and not on the one who fasted or stopped fasting on their account, they were just following the sunnah.

IslamRe: Benefit Of Reciting The Qur'an by AbdH: 11:31pm On Jan 02, 2014
Great post and may Allah reward you abundantly for this. The importance of the recitation of the Qur'an cannot be overemphasized.

Even Allah describes it thus:

Say: ‘If the mankind and the jinn were together to
produce the like of this Quran, they could not produce
the like thereof, even if they helped one another’ ”[Quran
Al-Israa’ 17:88]

Had We sent down this Quran on a mountain, you would
surely have seen it humbling itself and rending asunder
by the fear of Allah. Such are the parables which We put
forward to mankind that they may reflect. [Quran Al-
Hashr 59:21]

“This is the Book (the Quran), whereof there is no doubt,
a guidance to those who are Al-Muttaqoon [the pious]
[Quran Al-Baqarah 2:2]

★********★**********★

No other book would I rather recite. Flawless and divine, a guidance to a straying heart - the Qur'an - the light that illuminates the soul.
