Politics › Re: Should Hijab Be Banned In Osun ?, America As An Example ! by AbdH: 7:43am On Jun 16, 2016 |
Alokendra: Exactly. There's a reason why it is called Uniform. Uniform: adjectiveUnvarying; all the same.Consistent; conforming to onestandard.
Muslims cause problem everywhere they have a presence. Going by your definition, boys and girls should wear the same uniform either by making all boys wear skirts and blouses or make girls wear trousers and shirts like their male counterparts. Uniforms are meant to accommodate differences hence the court's ruling that the hijabs should be of the same colour with the uniforms. |

Akinz0126: Well the Yoruba muslims doesn't give a damn about that. The northerners believed that they are the only true muslim who strictly uphold the doctrine of islam. For the yoruba and other tribe muslim, the northerners believed that they are just observing the faith without knowing what to actually be a be a muslim entails.unlike in yoruba extended family were both christians and muslims are siblings, husband and wife uphold different faith, you can never see such in the north.a situation were yoruba muslim convert to christian with ease without persecution of any kind if its were to be in the north,if care is not taking,he/she may end up losing his/her dear life. One of my northern friend told me that in islam, they are permitted to date the girls of other faith with the believe that the girl in question would change her faith on the long run.But islam forbid hausa muslim girls to date another faith wereas in yoruba land it is not done that way both christians, muslims, budhist, hindu etc can date em sef in the west. For the bible says"Love is the greatest"so therefore,Let love lead. Please stop writing nonsense. That man and his wives are totally wrong and are deserving of some real admonition. Leave other tribes out of this, that some Muslims act stupidly here does not make their actions right. Islam does not forbid Hausa Muslim women from getting married across board but all Muslim women. Nonetheless, some northern Muslim women also marry Christians but they don't make noise about it. |

laudate: The day the outfit of the nuns constitute a security ask, I will support calls for the authorities to ban their attire.
Apart from that, a lot of nuns have the shorter slim-fit version of their habit, that allows them to move around freely and is incapable of concealing weapons. They can wear that, until the terrorist battle is won. A cloth poses no security risk but the person wearing it does. How short can an apparrel be not to conceal a weapon? I believe they stop being decent the moment they start wearing 'something so short and slim that it can't hide a bomb.' Ask everybody to move around in boxers and see the terrorists improvise. They were using cars before now, I wonder why it did not cross your minds that cars needed to be banned. |

laudate: Bros, when dynamite sticks and bombs are hidden under a burqa, who will see them? If you like, hire 1 million DMI staff to take over the job of the SSS. The end result will still be the same.
The lives & safety of people are more important than the burqa or full-length veil. AbdulMuttalab was not wearing a veil when he nearly blew up an aeroplane midair. A veil covers only the face and no terrorist hides bombs on his face. Ban the burqa? It is easy, the terrorists will start dressing like nuns. I'd like to see you getting excited like you are now when we start asking that nuns be made to stop covering themselves. |

We should learn to love ourselves regardless of religious beliefs...only then will we move forward.. Ramadan Kareem Allahu akram. U cn live wit a new religion easily bt u cant live wit polygamy easily..choice is urs. Use ur brain & trust ur instinct. No Muslim should ever advise a Muslim woman to marry a non-Muslim, you are pushing her to zina which leads to hell. Moreover, you are asking her to do shirk which is the gravest sin. You don't want to be responsible for that, do you? |

luvmijeje: Hausa-Fulani didn't score anything. Saraki, a former PDP member gang up with his former party members who are majorly from the South-south and South east to take over the Senate's seat. There's nothing fulanish about it. It was all politics. As clear as a sunny day but the OP and his cohorts want to make it appear differently, trying to cause division whre there is none. There is no Fulani agenda anywhere but a conspiracy by greedy APC members with their PDP friends against the party. Prior to the elections, PDP fans banked on tribalism, it failed them but they won't stop and restrategise because they fail to realise that when you keep doing the same thing you keep getting the same result. For the records, Fulani are minority in the house. |

Faddd: That was really the second time she dissolved our 3-year relationship, as I persuaded her for the reasons why she had to let us move on even with the difference in our religious believes. Toyosi is 23, I am 29. We have had built the what i would call the strongest relationship that I ever had since I attained puberty. She walked inn to tell me she told her mum that she was to introduce her man, but that disapproval ensued when she told her mother I was a Muslim. I suspected foul play when she said this and I would not tell her it was a lie so as to not worsen the already tainted issue. To cut the story short, We broke-up due to this late last year December. Since then, her status on whatsapp had always been like "I thought I will be OK" "I was misled" etc. Now she called me 3 minutes ago to make an official request that we be back together. Please dear Nairalanders, I need your help to put me true. People are already telling you to follow your heart but please do not follow your heart blindly as a Muslim. Follow the sunnah and the right way. For the sake of your children, tell her you cannot accept her back because the issue of religion will always come up and it will always cause you pain. Go for a Muslim girl, you will be grateful you did. |

Islam › Re: Fasting On Saturdays by AbdH: 2:14pm On Jun 02, 2015 |
PENMIGHT: JazaakaAllaah Khayran. This goes to prove further that Islam can only be practiced with knowledge as its very foundation.
This knowledge can only be beneficial when and if sourced from the clear verses of the Qur'an and Sunnah and in accordance to the interpretaions of the Sahabahs.
Fasting in and of itself, just like many other acts of Ibaadah can only be deemed acceptable when the rudimentary conditions for the accepatance of such are met.
We ask: " Why will a woman observe a non-obligatory fast while her husband is not away and without his permisson?
We pray Allaah, The Lord of Honour and Majesty, grant the OP and us all beneficial knowledge . Today's woman does not care. |
