How many ra'kats do you observe for maghrib. If it is three, did you conclude on the number from the Qur'an or the hadith?
Bottom line: You can't separate the hadeeth from the Qur'an.

Deviation 1: There are many gods deserving of worship

Response 1: Allah, There is no one worthy of worship, love and Obedience in any way, shape or form except He.

Deviation 2: God died for our sins, God created everything and left it to roll on it own.

Response 2: The living, The one who continously and is extremely engaged in keeping things standing.

Deviation 3: God created the earth and the earth and rested on the 7th day

Response 3: Neither drowsiness nor sleep overtakes Him

Deviation 4: God created but he doesn't own us, just because you created something doesn't mean you own it.

Response 4: He exclusively owns whatever and whoever is in the skies and whatever is on the earth.

Deviation 5: Ok, fine he owns us but someone will come and save us on Judgement day... Jesus (alayhi Salam), the saints, the righteous men, mother teresa etc

Response 5: Who is there that can intercede with Him except by His leave?

Deviation 6: God doesn't know eveything that is going on, He has bigger things to worry about, super novas and black holes in the universe. He is going to worry about my little deeds

Response 6: He knows what is before them and what is behind them

Deviation 7: I don't understand this God, how come He does this and that? How come He made a Judgement day?

Response 7: but they do not comprehend any of His knowledge except what He wills.

Deviation 8: How do you know God is still there?

Response 8: His throne extends over the heavens and the earth, And their protection does not exhaust Him, He is the ultimately High, the tremendeous


All of that deviation that can happen inside the mind has been addressed in Ayat kursi so Allah says rightfully in the next ayah that truth has been made clear from falsehood.

I am with you bro. I was just lazy to write my comment in full the other time. Magaji is Hausa but Yorubas pronounce it Mogaji but they are the same. Interestingly, Indians have a word whose spelling is the same with Mogaji albeit they are not the same.
In essence, just like my previous comment was meant to point out, Magaji (Hausa) is different from Mogaji (Indian).....irrespective of how the Yorubas call it for it has been established that they adopted the word from Hausa. I hope I am clear sir and thank you for the education.

nagoma: Mogaji is another name with strong Hausa connection. The Hausas call it Magaji with an 'a'. As you are aware YToruba's convert the hausa 'a' to an 'o' while the husas convert the yoruba 'o' to an 'a'. thus hausas will say 'Abalende' when talking about Obalende and Yorubas will say 'Koduno' when referring to Kaduna.

The word Magaji means the "successor" or the "inheritor" in Hausa and feminine of it is Magajiya. It is also a title "Magajiya" or "Magajin Gari"
meaning the mayor or governor of a city (as opposed to the king who rules the whole land). The nown "Gado" means inheritance and the Ma is a pocessive adjective converting the word to - Inheritor. In the Bayajiddah Hausa legend the lady ruler of Daura (Daurama) had the title of Magajiya.

It is possible, the name also has a Latin origin - some Spaniards and Italians bear it as a surname - but I think the Yorubas who bear it in Ilorin were influenced by their closeness to the Fulanis more but it is easy to deny that since it is not an exclusive word. I am not sure about the name Bello as much as I am convinced that Mogaji is a name that has an Indian root.

oluamid: Well, the Yoruba bear Bello too. Especially those from Kwara and Oyo states. And it has nothing to do with their being Muslims too because all the Yoruba Bellos I know are Christians.

If you check well, the Yorubas who bear the name had a Muslim background.
