Hello House. Please I need guidance. I got invitation to apply for Manitoba PNP yesterday. The issue I am having is that my EE Profile expired last week and I just submitted a new EE profile again today, after I got the LAA from Manitoba.
My question is, can I go ahead and apply after updatingmy new EE number and job seeker code? Or should I decline. Pls bear in mind that I can be penalised/my application invalidated because of the changes and I will also forfiet the 500CAD application fee.
Thanks

Congratulations. This shouldn't be a problem, as they are aware EE profile expires.

Since your application details are still the same, just the EE number and Job Seeker code that will differ, then you should be fine.

Please what was your score when you submitted Manitoba EOI?

I quite agree with this. Also, liquidity from CBN is really low. They have defended the naira with our foreign reserves for too long and it’s a losing battle. I fully expect that the next big move by the CBN will be to float the currency and allow the forces of demand and supply affect it. This may see the dollar rise to about 650/700 before it finally finds its level. May be in the coming months, may be in years to come but it is inevitable.

The economic outlook for the coming years is bleak. I don’t see any magic one minister of finance or CBN Governor will perform overnight. Over reliance on crude oil as our major source of forex and our hunger for imported goods has affected our naira too much. The activities of Bureau D Change houses too and their parallel rates is another issue.

In summary, our naira is on life support and has been for far too long

Lol. CBN will not float Naira amidst the current level of inflation in Nigeria. Please read up on Egypt's "regrets" on floating their currency.

This is not the best time, and we can't float it in the next 5 years except we are ready for full currency crisis. CBN will continue to defend Naira till it stabilizes.

wrong advise, CBN or Nigeria has no money to defend the naira for now.

I talk based on facts and figures. Just see the 30 day movement in FX reserves, despite capital outflows. You can compare this with last time intervention was done.

The earnings has improved, so will the reserves. It's now left for CBN to intervene or not.

So, be strategic.

Hello Seniors, please is it advisable to convert POF from Naira to dollars or just leave it in naira. I'm yet to get ITA

This is not the best time to change POF to $. The black market has stabilized, it now hovers around 475-485. So, what will be your gain if you buy now?

In coming weeks, CBN might intervene (sure to intervene before end of Q2) in the FX market and dollar might start coming down due to more FX being earned from oil price. The CBN is attributing current inflation to FX black market issues, so wait and buy $ when they start intervening. Perhaps, you get at 420 or 430.

Remember, FSW is not in sight now, so be calculative with your financial risks.

Just an advice.

Yes, NYSC is inclusive. To answer your question, I don’t know how to convince them. It’s why I’m asking for suggestions on anyway that anyone might have tried which has worked in the past.

There's no way around it. You can't be in full-time program and still be working full-time.

Advice: Write IELTS and stay in the pool while you garner more experiences to have 3 or more years.

FSW score might drop when it returns. So don't wait to have 3 years experience before creating EE profile.

Hi everyone, further to this question I asked a couple of days ago, my reason for asking is that, my LLB is currently being evaluated by IQAS, I’m preparing for IELTS. Say I max out IELTS, my CRS score is still about 456 because I only have 2years working experience. I’ll need to have had 3years working experience before my CRS score can be about 481. Before I get to that bridge, I’m just wondering if there’s anything that can be done about it. Any idea/help would be greatly appreciated.

Law school is full-time study, how do you plan to convince them you worked during this period?

You said you have 2 years working experience, is NYSC experience inclusive?

I will be 28years in few days, I have a MSc degree and 4-6years experience outside Canada and I want to apply as married. That's why I am contemplating on the possibility of my wife writing IELTS or not. My CRS score without my wife writing is 453

Your wife needs to write.

With 6666 your total score will be 465.
With 7777 your total score will be 471
With 8777 your total score will be 473

Simulate her IELTS results using the CRS score with her, and let her see that she needs little push to get you your desired score. Just put her through basics of IELTS and she should be fine. No pressure at all.

For now, you can create EE profile stating she won't be following you...that's 469 points. If ITA comes show her and let her see she's delaying your dreams, but don't accept while you use it to 'threaten' her to write within the validity period (60 days). Perhaps, a 'friendly threat' will do the trick wink

On a lighter note, FSW is not something one needs to miss when the draw begins. So, make hay while the sun shines.

Please how do you sponsor a sibling to Canada and get 15 points

By making him/her go through any available immigration options- Express Entry or PNP.

When they arrive, you can claim the 15points. Lack of draws for now will make this take more time than usual.

This is advisable for those that might loss points soon or those that have done all possible but short of 5-10 points to cutoff points. Remember your age affects CRS score once above 30.

If I write 2 ielts exams on separate dates and I prefer the score of the previous one to the latter one, Can I use that or I can only use the most recent exam/result?

You can use any. Current result doesn't invalidate previous ones.

Hello all,

I just started my Canadian journey and my CRS is only 442 sad. My profile:
35 years single female (soon to be 36 in a few months), no child.
Masters degree
6 plus years working experience
IELTS- R7 L8.5 W7 S8

Many thanks

1. TEF- prepare and write the exam. Additional point is 45.

2. Marriage: younger guy (below 30), who can ace IELTS and currently have Masters/2 degrees + 3 years experience. He will be the primary applicant. Additional points unknown, but can't be less than 30.

3. Sponsor a sibling to Canada. 15 additional points. This will cover the waiting period.

4. Go for MBA or a 1 or 2 year Diploma program in Canada. Additional point will be 15.

5. Rewrite IELTS as you are about achieving any/2 of the option(s) above. You need to get L- 8.5, R- 8, W- 7.5 S- 7.5. Remember IELTS result expires after 2 years, so rewrite when things are almost set. Additional point is 6.

Now, choose your struggles cheesy

I did for my OINP (Ontario PNP) application and it came out positive. I am also using it for my electronic Application for Permanent Residence. I will be submitting my ITA application next week.

Many people have used it and they got their PR. So, not cause for alarm

Sorry, I need to re-emphasize my question please.

If my wife is primary applicant, can we use MY (Husband) 25% RSA as PoF?

Apart from letter from PFA, did you do LOE or Deed Gift for it?

Thank you.

Hello house, pls I need an urgent assistant, I updated my job history in my portal and I got a message saying I'm not qualified to apply, and also all my scores disappeared. what can I do please?

You must have made mistake in selecting NOC code not Skill Type/Level 0, A or B or your primary code duration was adjusted below 1 year.

You will have to create another profile and put the above in mind.

You can use 25% of your spouse's PFA as PoF. Your spouse needs to do an affidavit that you have access to the fund.

Please have you done or hear from someone that did this successfully?

2. Honestly I don't know if the husband should submit a bank statement. A letter stating that the wife has full access to the account should suffice. But then VOs are unpredictable.

3. If you want to use your gratuity as POF, then you have to resign now and your company pays you your gratuity. And in your application, you do a LOE, attaching the EOS letter from your former company, clearly stating your gratuity.

Make sure you get another job/start a business before you resign o. Lol

Wahala everywhere grin undecided

Resign inside this Naija? That's too risky shocked

I wish someone can be bold to push for the use of EOS/Gratuity as evidence of PoF. I am certain, someone pushed the 25% RSA and it started working for some applicants.

1. Depends on the VO handling your application. Some people have been successful using 25% of their pension fund while others have not. Some VO argue that since the 25% can only be accessed 4 months after the RSA holder is out of employment, then technically you don't have access to the funds now. Your POF should be readily available to you when you apply.

2. Okay. What some spouse do is to write a letter (some notorise it) stating that the other spouse has unrestricted and full access to the funds in their account. No need for Gift deed

3. I guess so. Some companies pay massive end of service to employees who resign.

Thank you.

2. The husband will need to submit his bank statement of account if writing a letter right?

3. Yeah. That's the concern here. Some people's payoff is far more than PoF needed, but still curious on why IRCC might not accept such as PoF.

Some have used RSA and it worked , others not so much. I don’t know about EOS but IRCC is particular about the funds being available to you whenever. Pension takes 4months there’s already that, you might what you rethink the EOS part

Thank you.

EOS is paid upon resigning/termination of employment contract. Likewise RSA is only available if you're out of job for more than four months.

So, I'm concerned if any one had tried using EOS and what the feedback was since they sometimes accept funds that will be available after four months as PoF.

Questions I find hard to answer.

If your wife is the primary applicant, can the husband's 25% Pension fund balance be used as PoF?

They will be going together, and husband will also be providing remaining PoF as deed gifts.

Also, since they accept 25% Pension fund balance as PoF, can you use your End of Service (EOS/Gratuity) as PoF if you can get your employer to write a letter to this effect?
