southerners are very quick to label northerners. The campaign to endsars got support from all quarters but hell no! that's not what our southern people want to hear.. they are more interested in the opinion of a few insignificant hustlers ..very unfortunate that you guys have made hate and bitterness rule your lives.

lies from the pit of hell!! If I wooz you eh, u go stop that lies u are telling there, nansense grin

For your jnfky, I have friends who are Doctors in UK, Australia, very busy schedule, some in the US military, some nurses, and still they make out time to call me or WhatsApp or Facebook, so who u be cheesy, its all about money, if your friends in Nigeria are doing better than u abroad u will be the one connecting back to them.

If El Rufai son or Buhari's son or Rochas Okorocha's son is your friend in Nigeria and you are in US working hourly job, will you ignore his message if he wishes you happy birthday, swear it, ode cheesy

Na fear of poverty, once a poor Nigerian person travels abroad, he or she feels he has escaped poverty by the grace of God and therefore must avoid any poor or struggling person (friend oh, relative oh) from Nigeria grin

Its all about the money, get money and the world is yours no matter where you are, Baba God I thank you so much for your blessings in my life, I wonder how people for de treat me cry

To all the broke and struggling people out there reading this, don't give up, God will reward your hardwork, keep on working and keep planning and dreaming big, just time.

But when you make it in Nigeria or travel abroad, don't be like those mumu people abroad op is talking about, be a difference.

I speak what I am doing. I am a blessing to all my friends home and abroad and even those in the village and I want to even become more blessing to more, so help me God!

Distance usually have a bad toll on relationships. you communicate more with those around you, most of us here are leaving in cities, when last did you have a 5 minutes long conversation over the phone with a kin in the village? you see! they are now replaced by neighbors and colleagues from work place.. it's just life, not hard feelings.

aribisala0:

There will not be any indirect or direct benefits

The WTO is not Nigeria

It is an International bureaucracy . IT is NOT funded by Nigeria and has negligible number of Nigerians on its payroll

Do you know the function of the WTO?

With respect I do not think you do otherwise you would not write this.

Like I said how many previous heads of the WTO do yo know? It is a totally irrelevant role just like the Secretary General of the UN .

The UN is run ultimately by the five permanent members of the Security Council. The Secretary General is as influential as the P in Psychology

seems you underestimate the power of influence. if the position is that useless, then I find it hard to comprehend the reason why countries/continents are mobilising support for their own. the role of the WTO is to facilitate trade by setting rules that will guarantee a level playing field for all member countries. if for any reason the DG of the org. doesn't draw benefits to his origin then atleast He would prevent some harm (unfriendly policies).
knowing the names of previous DGs of the organisation isn't that necessary as such.. your question is similar to the problem most Nigerians have... they only know their president, shifting all blames to him while they have no single knowledge of who their LG chairman is Or that the problem they're complaining about is actually the work of the LG chairman.
The UN isn't WTO, and even if they are same, having your citizen occupy such a lofty position is on its own a plus to the image of your country.

The simple truth is IT DOES NOT MATTER who heads this body.

It it matters we would know the names of those who headed it before now.

They have been largely anonymous and forgettable. Who can remember the names of any previous holder of the role?

It all comes down to INTERESTS and nothing to do with competence.

Just like we saw with the Adesina probe if you do not protect the interests of the powerful they will rubbish you.

Giving this position to an African is deception that we actually belong . What do we actually trade as Africans besides commodities with no added value?

What we need is fair trade not empty positions

same as the way of tribalism in Nigeria, a candidate coming from a particular section of the country to fill a position does not necessarily translate to development to that section, nonetheless we always choose to have our person fill the post cos we know we will directly or indirectly have benefits
