Politics / Distance From Daura To Ogoniland by AbdulAdam56(m): 7:11am On Aug 08, 2015 |
The distance from Daura Emirate in Katsina State to Ogoniland in Rivers State is well over 4,700 kilometres. Daura is in South-West geopolitical zone while Ogoniland is in South-South geopolitical zone. One must traverse through North- Central and South-East geopolitical zones before one can get to South-South geopolitical zone. It will take an aeroplane close to three hours before one can get to Port Harcourt airport from Katsina airport. Daura is situated in North-Western part of Nigeria and is 34 kilometres to Niger Republic through Kwangolam/Maimujiya Nigeria-Niger border. Daura is a border town to another country in West Africa. President Muhammadu Buhari is a native of Daura town. Otuoke is in Bayelsa State in the South-South geopolitical zone with Ogoniland in Rivers State. Otuoke is not more than 13 kilometres to Ogoniland. Ogoniland and Otuoke were both in the same Rivers State before the creation of more states which made Otuoke to fortunately or unfortunately fall in Bayelsa State in the same South-South geopolitical zone. A well fed man can trek from Otuoke to Ogoniland without resting more than two times along the way. If an aeroplane should fly from Otuoke to Ogoniland, it may not take up to seven minutes to reach to its destination. Otuoke and Ogoniland almost speaks the same language because they are brothers and neighbours. Former President Goodluck Jonathan is a native of Otuoke village (village because he still left it as a village after being a president for more than six years). Ogoniland has problems of oil spillage since the time of Late General Sani Abacha as the then military head of state when the issue of Shell Petroleum Development Company (SPDC) were furious which led to the killing of Ogoni nine including the late Ken Saro Wiwa. Shonekan who is from Southern part of the country could not solve the problem of oil spillage which destroys aquatic animal and sea foods, plantations and vegetation, food and cash crops and land domestic animals. Abdulsalami Abubakar could not do it. Obasanjo who is a Southerner could not do it. Late Shehu Musa YarA'dua could not do it. Goodluck Jonathan who is almost a native of Ogoniland could not do it and his wife is also a native of Rivers State which houses Ogoniland as one of the state's communities (dog-eat-dog). Immediately after his swearing-in, President Muhammadu Buhari in less than 100 days in office gave a direct order for the oil spillage to be handled and cleaned off the coasts and rivers and seas of Ogoniland. What a man who is a neighbour to his brother could not do is what a man who live well over 4,700 kilometres apart is doing and doing it with pride as if it is a project in his home town. It takes a principled man to be the lover of all persons. Buhari is a principled man and he is loved by all persons in Nigeria. My brothers and sisters from Ogoniland, welcome to the world of good water, good habitat, good vegetation and plantation, potable water and non-disease infected animals and foods. Welcome to the home you so much loved which your brother Goodluck Jonathan could not fix for you but which a Fulani man is doing for you with love and care. Surely this does not stop the haters to keep calling President Muhammadu Buhari all sorts of bad names but I trust him, he will always give deaf ears to ridicules and will continue doing good for the comfort of Nigerian people devoid of favouritism or nepotism. Enjoy with the rest of Nigerians in good health and clean environment which is made possible to you by President Muhammadu Buhari. Nigeria is President Muhammadu Buhari's one and only constituency. May President Muhammadu Buhari live long. 2 Likes |

Islam for Muslims / Muslims Are Like Jesus (pbuh) And True followers Of Jesus by AbdulAdam56(m): 6:37pm On Jul 31, 2015 |
DEAR SEEKERS OF THE TRUTH, I STAND TO BE CORRECTED AS I PRESENT TO U THE 13 VALID REASONS WHY AND HOW MUSLIMS ARE LIKE JESUS (PBUH) AND TRUE FOLLOWERS OF JESUS THAN MOST CHRISTIANS BROTHERS 1. Jesus (pbuh) taught that there is only One God and Only God should be worshipped as taught in Deut 6:4, Mark 12:29. Muslims also believe this as taught in the Qur'an verse 4:171. 2. Jesus (pbuh) didn't eat pork as taught in Leviticus 11:7 , and neither do Muslims as taught in the Qur'an verse 6:145. 3. Jesus (pbuh) greeted with the words "as salaamu alaikum" (Peace be with you) in John 20:21. Muslims also greet each other this way. 4. Jesus (pbuh) always said "God Willing" (inshallah), Muslims say this too before doing anything as taught in the Qur'an verses 18:23-24. 5. Jesus (pbuh) washed his face, hands, and feet before praying. The Muslims do the same. 6. Jesus (pbuh) and other prophets of the Bible prayed with their head to the ground (see Matthew26:39). Muslims do too as taught in the Qur'an verse 3:43. 7. Jesus (pbuh) had a beard and wore a throbe. It is Sunnah for Muslim men to do the same. 8. Jesus (pbuh) followed the law and believed in all the prophets, (see Matthew 5:17). Muslims do too as taught in the Qur'an verses 3:84, and 2:285. 9. Jesus' mother Maryam (pbut) dressed modestly by fully covering her body and wearing a headscarf (hijab) as found in 1 Timothy 2:9, Genesis 24:64-65, and Corinthians 11:6. Muslim women modestly dress the same as taught in the Qur'an verse 33:59. 10. Jesus (pbuh) and other prophets of the Bible fasted up to 40 days (see Exodus 34:28, Daniel 10:2-6. 1Kings 19:8, and Matthew 4:1-Muslims do so also during the month of Ramadan. Muslims are required to fast the full obligatory 30 days (see Qur'an 2:183), and others take it a step further by fasting an additional 6 days to increase their rewards. 11. Jesus (pbuh) taught to say "Peace to this house" when entering it (see Luke 10:5), and to also greet the people in the house with "peace be unto you". Muslims do exactly what Jesus did and taught. When we enter our homes and the homes of others we say "Bismillah" and also greet with "as salaamu alaikum" (peace be upon you) as taught in the Qur'an verse 24:61. 12. Jesus (pbuh) was circumcised. Circumcision is 1 of the 5 fitrah in Islam, so Muslim men are required to be circumcised. According to the Bible in Luke 2:21, Jesus was eight days old when he was circumcised. In the Torah, Allah/God stated to the Prophet Abraham (pbuh) that it is an "Everlasting covenant" (see Genesis 17:13). In the Qur'an verse 16:123 Muslims are required to follow the religion of Abraham. The Prophet Muhammad (saws) said, "The Prophet Abraham circumcised himself when he was eighty years old." (see Sahih hadith Bukhari, Muslim, and Ahmad). 13. Jesus (pbuh) spoke aramaic and called God"Elah", which is pronounced the same as "Allah". Aramaic is an ancient, Biblical language. It is one of the Semitic languages that also include Hebrew, Arabic, Ethiopic and the ancient Assyrian and Babylonian language of Akkadian. The Aramaic"Elah" and the Arabic "Allah" are the same. The Aramaic "Elah" is derived from the Arabic "Allah", and it means "GOD". "Allah" in Arabic also means"GOD", the Supreme GOD Almighty. You can easilysee the similarity in their pronunciation so this concludes that the God of Jesus is also the God of the Muslims, of all mankind, and all that exist. Now tell me who is the real follower of jesus ( pbuh)? Obviously Muslims. Now I believe am a true follower of Jesus PBUH |

Crime / I Don’t Know Solomon Arase – Fake Policeman by AbdulAdam56(m): 5:31am On Jul 08, 2015 |
*He’s been impersonating for 12 years By Evelyn Usman LAGOS — Ignorance of who Mr. Solomon Arase (Inspector General of Police) is gave out a 33-year-old man arrested for impersonating a Police Constable. He told operatives of Lagos State Police Command X-Squad that his action was inspired by love for the profession. The suspect, Godwin Akhenamen, who claimed to have been parading as a policeman for 12 years, was sighted in Ikeja, Monday, fully kitted in a SPY police uniform. But the service number on the uniform reportedly gave him away, owing to its irregularity. When accosted by men of the X-Squad, he reportedly insisted he was a policeman. Godwin He was reportedly asked if he knew the Inspector General of Police, Mr. Solomon Arase. But he claimed not to have any relative or friend who bore that name. At that point, he was arrested and revealed during interrogation that he was not a policeman. ‘I love this job’ Akhenamen told Vanguard how he had on several occasions made attempts to join the Nigeria Police without luck. According to him: “I love the Police profession and have always wanted to be a policeman. But several attempts made to join failed. The reason was based on the ground that I did not finish my primary school education. “In 2003, I decided to join the SPY police training, but by the time I got to Ikeja, I was told that registration had closed. I went back to my private security job only to be sacked two weeks later. “Living became difficult and I could not go out to look for job because I had no money to transport myself. “So, I borrowed money to get black material with which I made this uniform; to enjoy free transportation to any destination of my choice. “People also accorded me due respect because they thought I am a policeman. I swear I do not steal with it. Things were moving smoothly for me for 12 years until X-Squad men accosted me and asked if I knew Arase. “I thought the person reported me to them and I asked them what offence the person levelled against me, not knowing he is the IG.” Lagos State Command spokesman, DSP Kenneth Nwosu, confirmed the incident and said that the suspect would soon be charged to court. Business / List Of 10 Poorest States In Nigeria by AbdulAdam56(m): 2:08pm On Jun 28, 2015 |
Nigeria -According to the National Bureau of Statistics, Sokoto is the poorest state in Nigeria with an 81.2% poverty rate. Furthermore, a 2012 information posted on the bureau’s website listed the top 10 poorest states in the country: 10. Zamfara – 70.8% Formed from the Old Sokoto state in 1996 and located in northwestern Nigeria, Zamfara is governed by Abdul'aziz Abubakar Yari, a member of the All Nigeria Peoples Party. Agriculture is the most important occupation of the people of the state, hence its slogan "farming is our pride" Recently the governor was blasted for the “alarming scope of economic dangers and its potential threat to the economic development of the state,” by the Zamfara Budget Working Group. 9. Kebbi – 72% Kebbi State is a north-western Nigeria state formed from part of Sokoto State in 1991. It is bordered by Sokoto State,Niger State,Dosso Regionin the Republic of Niger and the nation of Benin. There isn’t much to be written about the state’s economy but things are looking up. The recently concluded Sir Ahmadu Bello International Airport (SABIA), stands out as one of Nigeria's most sophisticated airports and is expected to boost the state’s economy. 8. Bauchi – 73% Bauchi is a Northern Nigerian state formed in 1976 when the former North-Eastern Stat ewas broken up. In Hausa the word Bauchi meansthe land of freedom and tourism. However recent Boko Haram adventures in the area, though few, have driven tourists away from the area. Last year Gov. Isa Juguda told Arewa that economies of Northern states is finished due to the Boko Haram insurgency. 7. Ebonyi – 73.6% Created by Gen. Sanni Abacha in 1996, Ebonyi is the only south eastern state among the top 9 poorest country. It is governed by Martin Elechi who currently claims his enemies have set aside N3bn for his impeachment. The state is besieged by corrupt office holders and the EFCC recently froze accounts of the state’s local governments. 6. Plateau - 74.1% Plateau State is the twelfth largest state of Nigeria, and is roughly located in the center of the country. Governored by Jonah Jang of the Peoples’ Democratic Party, Plateau has naturally col climate and a wide range of tourist attractions and boasts of a bubbling state capital, Jos. The state is haunted by some terrorist attacksand tribal clashesfrom time to time, especially clashes between Fulani herdsmen and its inhabitants. 5. Jigawa – 74.1% Jigawa, carved out of the old Kano state is located in North central Nigeria and is under the leadership of Alhaji Sule lamido. Kano State and Katsina State border Jigawa to the west, Bauchi State to the east and Yobe State to the northeast. To the north, Jigawa shares an international border with Zinder Region in The Republic of Niger, which is a unique opportunity for cross-border trading activities. Government readily took advantage of this by initiating and establishing a Free-Trade Zone at the Border town of Maigatari of country of Niger. 4. Gombe – 74.2% Gombe is another North eastern state which shares common borders with the states of Borno, Yobe, Taraba, Adamawa and Bauchi. It suffers sporadic attacks from terrorists and is governed by rIbrahim Hassan Dankwambo of the Peoples’ Democratic Party. 3. Adamawa – 74.2% Formed in 1991 from the extinct Gongola state, Adamawa has of late been terrorized by the islamist Boko Haram terrorist group, disrupting it’s economic development and growth. However Yola, the state capital under its current governor Bala Ngillari is fast being transformed with new roads, street lights, traffic lights and other prerequisites of a modern city being built. However things are far from being rosy as other parts of the state remain underdeveloped. 2. Katsina – 74.5% Katsina is a state in North central Nigeria and is governed by Ibrahim Shettima of the Peoples’ Democratic Party. The state has the highest poverty prevalence amongst all states in the region. Under the economic sector there is a paltry capital allocation of only N276 million (0.2%) to manufacturing, a paltry N214,019,000 (0.1%) capital provision for Women Empowerment under the Ministry of Women Affairs and only N100 million (0.08%) under the Ministry of Youth and Sports for the states Youth Empowerment Program (Youth Action Plan). 1. Sokoto – 81.2% Sokoto is located in the extreme Northwest of Nigeria. It has unfriendly climate conditions with temperature going as high as 45C on a normal day. Most part of the state are rural areas and over eighty percent (80%) of the inhabitants of Sokoto practice one form of agriculture or another. Source nigeria bulletin.com http://ow.ly/ OTrUz |
