Have you considered Australia? Try and make some research on Australia which can be through various path.

Hmm my brother I see people recommending Australia.... Australia is not as easy as it was before now oo.. They too are stringing up their immigration policy now.. you would need huge amount of money to Japa(via student route). Although you may need half of that amount if you are going through the pr route. But you think it is to get or now?

But what I would advice is anyone that have Australia in mind should act fast ow like I mean start pronto.. cos 2-3yrs from now japa to Australia may be favourable again.

Australia would forever remain the best country to Japa for me. It my dream someday.

Do you want me to tell you the truth and the best option?

Move to IRELAND. I mean Republic of Ireland. You will thank me forever. Move there legally with a study visa. After you find a job and wish to continue working post the completion of your stay back period, you can apply for a work visa in Ireland. Considering the number of companies in Ireland looking to hire fresh graduates, you will have a lot of opportunities to land a job that will also provide you with a work permit and stamp 4.

Ireland will give you free house for life.
Free medical card
Free weekly money
A lot of free stuffs in Ireland.
Ireland is mainly for family. Very good country. They're currently dealing with accommodation and illegal immigrants and they're working on it. I told two nairanlanders here about two years ago, they're there now.

Move to Ireland and you won't regret it.

Hmm your last line seems confusing

my candid advice with all research.
Germany is the best, in term of job security, transportation, accommodation etc
BUT you have to learn basic german language and travel alone first
after 4yrs with good job and clean record you can apply for resident permit.

with your 18m apply through https://chancenkarte.com, with this you have access to stay in Germany for one year and search for job which am 98% sure you will get a job within 3months but try and have alternative job as plan B, job is sure.

na fund hold me back, i have 3 working experience with my diploma, basic German language

go online and do more research or visit German embassy to equire

Great info
Business / Re: Naira Rebounds, Gains N28.15 Against Dollar by Abdulquadrimuha(m): 11:55am On May 01
StOla:
Are Nigerians still allowed to buy foreign currency and store same money in a domiciliary account despite not receiving international remittances?

Are Nigerians still trading forex as though they are trading commodities by the street corners?

Would Nigeria still allow its citizens to buy up scarce forex with Naira earned in the local economy, to pursue education in the US, Canada, UK, Cyprus, Russia, India, and other foreign nations to the tune of billions of dollars every year while the local tertiary education is in tatters?

Until the answer is No, then the Tinubu regime is still keeping the monster alive in a cage.

It will always break out from time to time.

Why not just kill the monster?

You are a monster and wicked and callous!!!! The devilry of our rulers and politicians have transfered to you lots!

Yahaya Bello, gganduge et al are the real criminals involved and yet you have never criticize or hold this people accountable. Instead you sing their praises, exonerate, and hold brief for them

Everything you listed up there contribute insignificantlly to the decline of the naira. The politicians you so much love(even while subjecting you to untold hardship) are the biggest perpetrator!

There's no effing job in the country. The little bread people ate earning you still advocating for FG to come for them just because they earn in FX? How callous can you be? If they want to end this then they should create effing employment!!!!

More worrisome you mentioned people that are traveling outside for studies?? Now it is now a crime to study abroad? Please how then are they supposed to pay for their fees? Is the fees in Naira? Is it their fault the fees in foreign currency? The stupid PTA is absolutely useless. Approach banks and they would tell you they don't have dollars... Now tell me do they have any other choice than to approach black market?

And the funny thing is not the same can be said about dangote. Dude get free access to forex lol

I have absolutely no hope for this country anymore not with this recent events that is unfolding post 2023 elections. Imagine fuels is selling for 1000 like a effing 1000 naira!!!! Ha!!! It shall not be well with you all that has a hand in foisting this disaster upon innocent Nigeria.

Every possible things that sustain livelihood has been soaring astronomically since inception of this draconian regime... And yet that still telling us to keep hopping. Innocent Nigerians that have died committed suicide as a result of this hardship is it the hoe tht would bring them back??

Ask your self the developed country that you see, is this how they keep developing till today? By subjecting their citizens to unsurmountable hardship and sufferings

Very pathetic!!!

Education / Help. Recommend A Good SIWES Placement In Kaduna by Abdulquadrimuha(m): 3:36pm On Apr 04
As the title suggests. Please can anybody recommend a suitable company or factory for a mechanical engineering student to do his SIWES.

I'm looking for a good placement where I couldn't contribute and gain hands-on experience not a place where would just be sitting doing nothing lol

P.S I reside in Kaduna however I'm open to more suggestions that isn't within Kaduna. I just want a place where I would find myself engaging.

Thank you.

I am yet to get my assessment. I am on it. On with my CDRs. Been gathering my documents.

Oh. Wish you success.

Mcslize:

Yeah. The Importance is that once they obtain full signatory under the Washington accord, Engineers from Nigeria won't be going through the process of writing career episodes.

They will just submit documents straight up without writing career episodes to demonstrate their competencies.

Wow. That would be incredible if they manage to pull this off. I'm optimistic about it. Let's see how it goes.

Been seeing your post. I pray you get your nomination by the grace of God.

I too also have the dream to immigrate to Australia some day. It's been my long ride dream lol. And I pray it come to pass.

I assume you have gotten your assessment from EA. just saw that Nigeria has gotten a provisional signatury to the Washington Accord. Tho it's not full signatory yet. But I hope they attain it by the time I graduate.

Tho I don't know the impact of that yet sha(attaining full signatory). But I hope it's turns out for the best.

February 2019 - Made the decision to migrate to Australia (at this time I already had IELTS - Proficient so giving me 10 points)

October 2023 - I received a notification that my application was being assessed.

February 2024 - Grant received. Halleluyah! grin

Wow five years!

I really congratulate you man. Wish the very best in your endeavors!!!

On another note. For Engineers in the house planning to Japa I just read a report on the COREN website. Nigeria attained a Provisional signatory to the Washington Accord last year june!!! Whilst this is not a full signatory, it is a big step in the right direction.

I commend the COREN and the Nigeria government for achieving this feat. It now left for COREN to work towards achieving the full Signatory (usually within 2yrs).

Honestly this is a good news for me considering the fact I'm hoping to Japa to Australia some day. I pray my dream come true insha'Allah🤲

I thought Bank change that?

Last time I wanted to withdraw 5OO they changed it to Naira for me. The rate was at 148O

I thought so too. But when I requested they changed it they said they don't do such. I fact I even try to ask for recommendations as to where to exchange but it seems it illegal for them to do so.

there is bureu delivery change in makarfi plaza ,they also have offices around one big 5 star hotel it's a government owned hotel i can't remember the name i think is hamdala hotel or so.

You can also change it directly through your banking app. if you are using Gtbank or most of these new generation banks

If you operate a gtbank domiciliary account, then you can swap your dollars for naira right inside your app or internet banking, no matter how small the amount is. I even converted $5 to naira today.

Thank you for the advice.

You have to note that GT was my first go to as I am banking with them however when I saw the requirements to open a domiciliary account omo I run oo lol.

They were requesting for two current account holders (not salary oo). Who do I know that operates such account I no even know one talk more of two grin

So you see. It was when I made some research I now stumbled on the UBA Free savings dom account - with that I only need BVN and nepa bill.

Else I even prefer GT Bank honestly. Cos even this fsdom sef when my total inflow reach 2000usd I would still need to upgrade it going through that same process I'm avoiding lol

Dem chop you small though. Locate the bdc operators in your area, they always gathered in a popular center. Approach any of them and do your business.
Note: know the current price of dollar as at the time you want to make the transaction.
You might not be able to sell at currently price because of your location.

I'm also thinking of this too. The reason I didn't give a thought to this is because I don't k ow if any bdc operators here in kd. But now I would definitely find out more on them.

Which bank did you withdrawal at.
You obviously didn't ask this question there because I know most if not all would have gladly arranged for you to get naira.

I did asked them how to go about it. They said they don't do that and they don't have any idea how to go about it.

It was later then I went outside the bank thinking how should I go about it. Then I approached one attendant outside he was the one that now eventually arranged how I later exchanged it. But I feel like I was cheated lol cos the contact he got for me exchanged it for NGN1,300 a dollar instead of the NGN1,593 as at then.

The more reason why I'm soliciting for advice here cos I don't want it to happen a second time.

First of all. Download Aboki FX. It will give you an idea how much you can expect to sell your dollars. Next, codedly ask somebody where them dy change dollars. When you reach, be very careful and do not do like a novice before them take advantage of you.

Lol seems like you guessed right what happened to me that first time. When they handed me the dollar bills I told the banker that I thought I was expecting to receive in naira. And he told me that that isn't the case.

Then I asked him how do I go about exchanging it and he told me he has no idea. Note when I asked him this his countenance changed lol seems it isn't allowed for them to do that I don't know.
