7th NSHA: 'Ogah Ogazi Is Our Next Speaker', Zhekaba Declares
***
Mr. Ogah Ogazi (APC, Kokona East) has been declared as the 'Speaker In-Waiting' of the 7th Nasarawa State House of Assembly (NSHA) scheduled for inauguration today, Tuesday June 06.

A Chieftain of the People's Democratic Party (PDP) and Member-Elect of Obi II Constituency, Hon. Luka Zhekaba, disclosed this while addressing newsmen at the premises of the Assembly complex amidst plot to impose a preferred choice of Governor Abdullahi Sule as Speaker.

Zhekaba who dismissed the purported postponement of the inauguration said they have the required majority to sit and elect principal officers.

He revealed that they have 13 out of the 24 Members-Elect and expressed confidence that the inauguration would go on as earlier scheduled.

“We have the simple majority led by our leading Speaker In Waiting, Ogah Ogazi. He's our next Speaker.

The inauguration would hold as scheduled and by the grace of God, Ogah Ogazi will emerge as Speaker,” Zhekaba said.

Also speaking, Ogah Ogazi who frowned at the undue interference stalling the inauguration of the 7th Assembly said the only role assigned to the Governor was to issue proclamation which has been done.

“The inauguration must held today or be rendered illegal. And we, the 13 Members-Elect are here for the inauguration in accordance to the proclamation issued by the Governor,” he told newsmen.

The Member-Elect of Lafia North Constituency, Barrister Esson Mairiga who frowned at the heavy presence of security agents blocking access to the Assembly complex based on 'order from above' vowed to resist any attempt to impose principal officers.

“The atmosphere of the Assembly Complex is peaceful, family, friends, and supporters are jubilating in anticipation of the inaugural session. But sadly, the Governor sensing that his preferred candidate for the Speaker will lose, he ordered the postponement without a date or time in an attempt to repeat what they did at the gubernatorial elections by sneaking into the assembly to conduct the process. The people have however resolved not to leave the premises.

“There are also indication that the Governor is looking at how to purchase at least 2 Members-Elect right now. But we are not bulging,” Esson who was elected on the platform of the opposition People's Democratic Party (PDP) stated.

There is no any security breaches or whatsoever. The governor wan to impose the incumbent speaker on the members which majority of them don't opposed.

15 out of 24 members elect now site against the incumbent speaker which is the preferred candidate of the governor.

nairaland2:
It's simply MEN and WORK!

The man invented work so that he can fortify his kingdom, protect his family and provide for his lineage.

Therefore, work is masculine.

Women hate to work, not because they are lazy but because nature designed women to sit and nurture.

By work I mean having goals, pursuing them and achieving them.

Work is only given to a man who is competent.

Only men who show discipline, order and commitment should be given work.

Work is NOT about a salary or money but work is about the competency of your skills.

Your skills are meant to solve problems. Once you solve a problem, then the person whose problem has been solved will say "thank you".

This " thank you" is today personified by a value known as money.

The more "thank you" you receive, the more money you are paid.

A man does not look for work because he is "work".

If he does not get into a system that accomodates his work, then he builds his own system where he accomodates his work.

If you have read what I have written up to here, you will notice I am talking about " WORK" not "jobs".

A job is not work.

A job is a by product of employment. While employment is a product of work.

Therefore work creates employment and employment creates jobs.

A man is work, therefore he creates employment.

Many men go to school because they anticipate to be employed. They are looking for jobs.

They sit on their potential, discard their skills and walk from office to office looking for jobs.

Countries where there is massive unemployment, are countries where men have refused to work.

Men in these countries go to college to be trained how to be employees. Then when they don't get jobs, they begin throwing tantrums and abusing their Government.

Governments have jobs but don't have work.

These jobs reach their limit and Governments fail to employ more.

So, these Governments begin creating other unnecessary jobs to absorb people who have refused to work.

Governments are supposed to create an enabling environment for work.

However, since modern men have become lazy, they want to be employed in jobs where they just go, sit and wait for a monthly salary.

A man who is begging for a job should never be given any job.

A man who is standing at a corner of a street with a placard begging for a job should never be given any job.

A man employed out of sympathy will never help the owner of the work to deliver the goals.
[/b]
This is a man who will be whining at the job or if his performance is questionable, he will be reminded that he was given work out of sympathy.

A man is work.

A man does not look for work but work looks for man.

Because man is the embodiment of skills.

He doesn't require anyone to sympathize with him because a man is the embodiment of work.

A man is work, and work is man.

That's why workers are men.

Plumbers, electricians, loggers, carpenters, masons, mechanics, farmers etc are men at work. They are not men at jobs.

If you are a teacher, being a teacher is a job but teaching is work. That's why we have competent teachers and incompetent teachers.

If you are a president, being a president is a job but leading is work.

That's why some presidents are incompetent and others are competent.

A job is a title, while work is responsibility.

A father is a title, while fatherhood is a responsibility.

If you don't know your work, and build your work, you will suffer in this earth.

Jesus of Nazareth was a carpenter. He was a worker. He used the skills of his work to preach the gospel.

Work is the vehicle to your dreams.

Work is production.

Work is productivity.

Work is skilled work.

Work is a craft.

Work on your work.

Adiche who didn't even come to Nigeria to vote for a particular candidate she is seeking cheap public attention by feigning support, is all over condemning the process that made Tinubu president-elect. Someone with conscience wouldn't even start such criticism in the first place.

She think poems or fictitious script can change Nigeria?

Politics / Re: The Simplest Way To Explain The FCT 25% Debate by abdulskulboy(m): 10:43am On Apr 01, 2023
Interpretation of that very portion of the constitution is not ambiguous but you however, also misinterpreted it or you intentionally interpreted it to suit your case.

Literally speaking, that portion of the constitution recognizes the FCT as one of the states in Nigeria, but because the FCT isn't always counted among the 36 states which if counted, will round up our states to 37, is the reason why the constitution precisely mention FCT. That doesn't however, makes it 25% requirement in 25 states and FCT which will literally makes the counts to 26 states. Anyone that hold such interpretation has apparently contradicted the constitution of the federal republic.

In as much as I don't like the APC and the process that pronounced Bola Tinubu as the president elect, I wouldn't hold such reason to invalidate his victory. Let's look for another substantive reason to debate and challenge his victory upon.

People should simply just stop being nuisance! Bola Tinubu is the president-elect, if you don't want him to take oath of office in the next two months, follow every legal process to do that. But shouting and cursing the country at any glance of opportunity will only do the country harm and won't stop Bola Tinubu inauguration.

Education / Re: Why A Mathematician Is Preferred To Someone Who Studied Banking For Bank Job by abdulskulboy(m): 4:30pm On Mar 31, 2023
In today's model of government, all you need to succeed as a job seeker in the banking sector or most of the public sectors at all, is GOOD ORATORY SKILL. Employers now care more about physical appearance, oratory skills especially when packaged with some unusual rhetorical approach of modelling your speech and verbal analysis.

Mathematicians are good in thinking out of the box, but their skills doesn't seems to corroborate with the reality of the day in Nigeria precisely. Those who hold the card of the Nigerian banking atmosphere are ECONOMIST, who happen to have both analytical and quantitative thinking skills; they excel in all of mathematics, statistics (probability), commerce, accounting etc.

Economists are versatile.
