"Become the enemy of your weakness; make it your target, or it will become your taskmaster! When Samson awoke in the lap of Delilah, he'd lost his anointing. His next step was a dungeon. The battle of your life is always between your strength and your weaknesses. Listen: These two forces within us are constantly fighting each other to win control over us. Nobody's exempt. Your struggles may be different from mine, but we're all on the battlefield. If you think you can indulge your weaknesses today and just walk away from it tomorrow, you're deceiving yourself; your weakness has a will of its own." - Bob Gass |

I made hand made cards while in the University (2000 - 2005). Within a year, I had to 'employ' marketers and distributors (my humble friends, relatives and fellow students) to sell my cards in school, hostels, and take to major supermarkets, offices and banks with in the Metropolis. I gave them 13% of the proceeds they realized. during peak periods (Valentine and Christmas) I gave them generous bonuses! >> The cards sold for N50 a piece. On special request, you could get bigger ones for N200, N800 and N2,000 *PS: I studied Law (and graduated with very good grades) ![]() |

God have mercy on Nigeria . . . |
onitshaigbo:So how does defaulting in payment of taxes due to Government and defrauding workers of their lawful wages amount to 'touching my anointed'. Your ignorance of Biblical principles is irritating. |
Ilovenigeria:Thank you! I actually thought it meant POMO, and Nairaland girls would prefer a more sophisticated gift for Christmas |
Abeg, wetin be PM? |
pickabeau1:I completed the story in a 2nd post below the 1st one. I also gave my reasons for keeping quiet and the aftermath |
(2) Four months latter, she asked 4 a break-up. Her reason: If I trully loved her, I would have shown signs of jealousy (fighting, crying, beefing, etc). -Why I kept quiet: (a) I honestly did nt know what to say (b) I gave her the benefit of d oubt, bt she never explained anything (c) I considered a break-up, and did nt want to make the 1st move, but since she pulled the plug first, I let her go (d) I was weighing my options and consulting widely - with men and God |
A similar thing happened to me some time back. I went to visit my girlfriend without notice. I was shocked to see a framed picture of another guy in her room, placed conspicously. Her own little pix was neatly tucked at the edge of the frame. I swallowed every trace of panic and anger. We were planning to get married the following year for Christ sake! I spent three hours there and did not even mention the strange picture before me. I noticed she was uneasy, but I ignored her and gisted normally. Four months latter, she asked 4 a break-up.
