I have been reading through the experiences shared here and the advice provided, and they have been really helpful.

Please, I need some advice. I have now received a refusal twice, both on financial grounds, and I am quite confused about the reasons given.

In my first refusal, the officer stated that they were not satisfied that there was a relationship between my co-sponsor and me (my mother), and therefore they were not convinced that the funds would be accessible to me. However, my mother had already gifted me the money, and the funds were in my personal account. I addressed this issue in my second application by providing the necessary supporting documents. I also paid my tuition in full and purchased a GIC.

However, I received another refusal, and I would really appreciate some clarification:

1. Tuition: The officer noted “partial tuition paid,” even though I had actually paid the full tuition. The payment was made in three instalments. I paid the first semester before my first application, and after the first refusal, my school required me to pay the second semester before issuing a new LOE. I made the additional payment, and because the tuition had increased, I paid the balance to complete the full amount. I provided all three receipts, and they were uploaded together in one folder.
2. GIC: I also purchased a GIC, but the officer stated that I would not have access to the funds for my living expenses. This is where I am particularly confused because the GIC was specifically purchased to cover my living expenses in Canada.

I’m honestly not sure what I may have missed or how I should address these concerns if I decide to reapply.

I would really appreciate advice from anyone who has experienced something similar or can help me understand what the officer may have meant.

There are three things the officer noted.
1. Sufficiency
2. Availability
3. Accessibility

Calculate the tuition fee for your program plus living and travel expenses the compare it with your POF if it tallies. That is for sufficiency.
For availability and accessibility, you have to prove that the money is there and you can access it. But I thought the purpose of GIC was for accessibility.

Anyways copy the officer's note and upload it on ChatGPT it would explain better and tell you how to go about it.

Which of my words sounded discouraging? The guy was asking me about PR and I told him to get PGWP work for a year and apply for PR.

Please point out the words I used that sounded discouraging so I can edit it. I even told him opportunities are here.

The only thing I discourage people and I’m against is the use of agents to process applications since a lot of these agents are scammers.

Imagine that PhdCloak guy miscalculating POF. Only God knows how much he collects from his clients for POF.

If you are truly an agent you will know that POF covers tuition fee, living expenses and flights. You would also know that POF isn't money spent but money available for and accessible by the traveler. Because in your post you said I spent 132m. lol

I am talking my experience. The few Nigerians I met no give me face. The whites I have come across were helpful. Even the girl I met in the Nigerian store I tried talking to her to ask where I could get eggs as there were no eggs in that store she was not even entertaining my greetings sef. I greeted oyibo girl she smiles and answered. It was an oyigbo that told me where I can get eggs. It's my experience I have had so far. I don't need to live for 10 years to know that the Nigerians I met weren't kind to me.

IRCC says you should have at least 22k CAD for housing and feeding for one year.

If you are not the type that eats too much, you don’t go out unless where necessary, you don’t party or club, you don’t have eyes for new gadgets and woman, you can survive in Ontario with less than 20k CAD for one year.

Your study permit says you MUST leave Canada after that expiration date.

Why would you want to stay back illegally? If this is your mindset I’d advise you don’t come o.

Illegal stay in someone’s country is not good. You would be living in fear and you can’t get a better job if your stay is illegal.

Where I am wifi is almost everywhere so I don’t have issues with internet. Most wifi are locked like in malls. I will just walk up to them and say ‘hey, could you help me with the wifi password?’ and they’d be like ‘sure!’
