Thanks for your response, other process like the POF process, all documents that will be required. Do you have any guide on how to calculate how much is needed for POF? And the official website used for currency conversion by Canada immigration Office? For the refundable part, in the conditional offer given, it's stated that 2000CAD of the 10kCAD of the part tuition is unrefundable.

During my time of application, my school said if my study permit is refused they will refund my tuition deposit. The only money the won't refund was the 125CAD application fee.

For POF you must show ATLEAST your one year tuition fee. If the program is more than 1yr, show how you intend to pay for the following years without having to work in Canada.
You must show you have at least $22,895CAD to cover your living expenses for one year. If your program is more than one year you demonstrate how you tend to survive for the coming years without having to work in Canada.

In my own case I used OANDA Currency Converter and my study permit was approved. It was not specified which converter to be used.

My program is two years. I showed POF for the two years tuition fees and living expenses for the two years. So there wasn't any need for me to convince them on how I intend to pay for the rest of the year. Then, after paying for the tuition deposit, I paid for one year tuition. I could have just applied for study permit with just the tuition deposit but ChatGPT advised I pay one year tuition and that was what I did.

The receipts for the tuition deposit and one year tuition fee I attached them to my POF.

Paying tuition deposit is one of the conditions in your offer letter and that condition must be met before you are given unconditional offer. So you must pay. But before you pay, mail the school and ask if the money is refundable in case the study permit is refused.

My own school gave me 31st March, 2026 as deadline.


What do you mean by 'other process'? I paid mine before applying for study permit because I needed that 'unconditional offer letter' to apply for study permit.

When you are done with the Dubai Connect booking, apply for transit visa. all these are free.

When the page appears after in-putting your details, scroll down u will see 'Dubai Connect booking'. Click on it. Mine is showing 'manage Dubai Connect' becos I have already booked.

Most schools would want your school to send them the transcript using the school official email. It's always one of the conditions.

As at when I booked mine, it was about 1.5m. urs is about 2.2m.

Go to Emirates.com then navigate to "manage booking" enter your last name and PNR code. then look out for "Dubai Connect" try and book it and apply for transit visa. Booking is free.

Mine is also 23hrs layover. 44:55mins journey.
Pls go to emirates website and book for "Dubai Connect". According to ChatGPT if you book the Dubai Connect you would be lodged in a hotel during your time in Dubai and you won't pay for it. Also apply for transit visa.

PS: Booking of "Dubai Connect" is free. I have booked mine and gotten a room reservation.

My nephew graduated from Uniben and they made him lose his admission Newfoundland last year due to their inability to send his transvript Despite several requests. Though he has the soft copy and also a sealed copy he got from the exams and records unit.

They will give you an offer letter stating they they will pay your tuition fee for the first year and living expenses. This offer letter will form part of your Proof of Financial Support when submitting your application.

The interest is stated on the offer letter and you have an amortization table on how to repay the Loan. They have long repayment periods so you will not feel it too much.

The work with selected schools/programs and they will process your admissions for you.

I think you should research it out.

Assuming I am going for a two year program, if passage handles my first year tuition fee and living expenses, where would I get money for my second year tuition?

Will the 24hr per week work pay for my second year tuition fee, living expenses and repayment of passage loan? Even if it can, the burden would be too much.

For a school to enroll an international in Canada, that school must be DLI. Designated Learning Institution.
After graduation, if your school or the program you are doing is not eligible for PGWP (Post Graduate Work Permit), it means that you cannot work after graduation.

And what is the need spending millions to study in Canada and not being able to work after graduation to gather Canadian work experience?

Some schools could be eligible for PGWP but the program not eligible.

So always check before applying. You can check if a school is DLI and eligible for PGWP through the IRCC website
