Sorry about this outcome.

If the school is going to resume in 12 days, I don't see how you can make it. The best thing to do is defer your resumption to the next available intake (Jan or May or Sept 2027).

There are 2 issues I can see from the notes:

1. Did you pay tuition fee and did not attach proof of payment of tuition fee?

The VO officers said you didn't provide evidence of payment of tuition fee.

2. The bank statements you provided were incomplete and not legible.

This is why we advise that you use mybankstatement tickets, it is just a single page for each account which the VO can easily login and access.

When you use regular bank statements, you can make mistakes with scanning and also skip pages.

From the little I can deduce from the notes, this is a case of poor and incomplete documentation which you can easily address when you reapply.

Book one way ticket. returning ticket will not stop border officers from sending you back if they want to.
If your papers are real and your intents, u do not need to book any returning ticket. I have watched videos of border officers interviewing students. None ever asked of ur return ticket.

They are MOST likely to ask
1. your suppose in Canada
2. if you have enough funds
3. your LOA
4. Accommodation

I am going for masters. I do not know how undergraduate degree works. The WAEC I mentioned was for English Test in my own case. Since it's undergraduate, he will surely need WAEC for both English test and as a cert that he has completed secondary school.

My proof of fund was in Naira and USD. When applying for study permit, you let the visa officer know that money you are showing as POF its equivalent in Canadian dollars.

I had mine in USD and NGN and when I did my conversion it was 108k CAD. Make sure to indicate which platform you used for your conversion.

My course is a Tech course. Nursing is a very good course and I recommend it.

Is he going to use WAEC as English Test Cert? What is the purpose of the WAEC?

If he is going as self-sponsored, every money should be in his account and every payment made through his acct. If he is going as parents sponsored then you can pay for him from your account as long as you can establish that he is your son.

Ok got you. I was not talking about voluminous of the documents I was referring to content of every document. I did not attach LOE becos the documents were large. I attached because of the contents on the documents and every doc in my case had LOE

Exactly. All large docs should come with an introduction letter so the visa officer knows what he/she is looking at and determine how it fits in during the eligibility review.

Every large deposit, every earning, every money trail is well documented and explained. Including all my personal bank statements, payslips, employee stock sales, bonuses, etc. Plus no one but me has access or signatory rights to all my accounts (USD and Naira). My Cover Letter is well indexed so the visa officer can easily understand what I am presenting and exhibits I am referencing. But it is God that has done it in the end, not by my efforts.

Everything I submitted in my application came with LOE. I did not give them room to guess anything. That was why my files were larger than the required 4MB. I kept compressing files.

Imagine every document had LOE attached. LOL
I even drew diagrams on documents. No room for guess work. Since I was not there to explain anything to them, every document had LOE attached. Some I drew diagrams on them. All thanks to ChatGPT

Nice. I also believe a big emphasis from IRCC going forward is on POF and the source of fund passing validity in being genuine and readily available to the primary applicant's use. They don't want people who will enter Canada and be a nuisance with the current state of the economy. Plus the ongoing Indian students protest has really left a bad taste in their mouth and the Canadian people are upset at their level of entitlement.

They said going forward they are most likely to request for additional financial documents. Anyone who earns legitimately has no fear.

Yes. All 3 checks out for me. I paid my 2 years tuition upfront. Over $40k CAD and I still have a substantial USD savings plus my Naira savings to more than cover travel and Canadian living expenses including rent. Single, no kids and self-sponsored.

If you are earning legitimately, show them. From my application, I'm meant to believe that IRCC does not give a fvck whether ur account statement if from a commercial bank or a freelancing pay sites.

Just show these 3 things.

1. You have the money
2. The money was earned legally and the source where it was earned from is a legitimate source
3. You can access the money at any time.

I told them I was returning back to work in Nigeria. Not return back cos of family. Of course I didn't tell them I have a family. I used coming back home to get a job and work.

The reason I refused to do upfront medicals was because I had 70% feelings that my application would be refused due to home ties. I remember a friend advising me to rush and do small court wedding and use marriage as home ties. I wanted to but ChatGPT said if the marriage is not genuine I shouldn't. Me sef I shock as my permit was approved,.

That is my application form.

No parents
No siblings

When I get to Toronto this month I am going to create a thread here documenting (with proof) everything I did (step-by-step). I am not saying what I did was the best way but that was my own way of going about my application process. So stay tune.
When I applied I had fear that it was going to be denied due to no strong home ties. I didn't worry about POF because I have above the required amount.

I saw someone here said IRCC only accept bank statements from commercial banks and not freelancing platforms I just laughed.

I started my application in April but submitted it in May. I couldn't submit it that April because Me and ChatGPT were going back and forth on my SOP. The course I am going for is not related to what I read in school and not close related to what I am currently doing. Each day me and ChatGPT keep finetuning the SOP to make it make sense.

As for home ties, since I do not have any close relations, no landed property, I discussed my situation with ChatGPT and it guided me on how to write on home ties.
I will document everything make I just land first because it is not yet over until I scale through the border officers at the airport.

Just do the right thing and you will get your permit approved. Say NO to Agents whether licensed or unlicensed agents. Remember, using an agent is not a guarantee that your permit would be approved instead, using an agent could get you not just refusal but a ban because some of these agents might intentionally or intentionally modify your documents which could result in a ban.

I repeat, if you can read and understand simple instructions, you do not need an agent to apply for visa of any kind.

I have never traveled out. I do not have international travel history. I am not married, both parents are deceased, no kids, no landed property, no siblings, not working for any company in Nigeria and do not own one (I work remotely as a freelancer) no strong home ties yet I got my study permit approved at first attempt.

Even when someone advised me not to fill that schdule-1 application form because in the form you are asked of your travel history. I followed ChatGPT instructions and I filled it. Even when my school said I should use BorderPass agents to process my application I refused. I did everything on my own and ChatGPT has always been my go-to resource.

My application was approved after 4 weeks and 3 days of submitting the application.
Again, if you can read and understand simple instructions, you can do it by yourself.
