Hi, I'm a serving NYSC corps member passing out this month. I have gained admission for an MSc at UBC and I'm trying to gather documents to apply for my study permit. Note that I got a late admission and I have a start date of September 1, however, I found out that NYSC certificate is required by the IRCC. Can I upload my call-up letter and ID card as evidence or wait till I get the certificate to submit my application?

How did you find out that NYSC cert is required by IRCC?

Not only Nigerians. Go to YouTube and see videos of people from India, Pakistan, Asia, Ghana who were caught with fake documents and most of them were students.

Social media influencers are not the ones making it hard. It's people who are submitting fake documents that make it hard.

Since the common reason people get their study permit denied is POF, a lot of people have now resort into submitting fake POF.

I watched a video where a lady paid an agent to generate fake POF for her and her study permit was denied.

Some of these applicants do not know that IRCC can contact their banks to verify.

According to the new IRCC policy, you must;
1. Show POF (this covers one year tuition and living expenses)
2. Convince the VO that you can access the funds at any given time.
3. Show the source of the fund.
4. If your program is more than one year, convince them how you intend to pay for the other years without having to work in Canada.
5. Show 6 months bank statement.

The new update further stated that the IRCC might request for additional documents support your financial status.

Hello bro, i got the flight schedule update email from Emirate. It's was a change of arrival time, when i spoke to emirate representative about Dubai connect she asked me to send an email 31st of July for the Transit Visa.

I just got off on a chat with Emirates. They said if you have already sent your documents for transit visa application, no need sending again and that they will only process the visa between 14 days to 48 days before departure.

Ok good luck to us. In my own update, the waiting time was changed to a shorter time and the departure and arrival terminals were changed.

The truth is, the truth will always remain the truth.

The average tuition for a 2-year program in Canada is about CAD $45,000, ( except you go for the few cheaper schools but you have to be careful about the type of cheap school you select) and the required living expenses for one person are approximately CAD $22,895.

Now do the math.....

My POF I show $108kCAD for a two year program. My tuition fee is course based.

Mine came before the passport was stamped.

Print the correspondence letter o. That is what you will show to the border officer at port of entry.

I applied on the 28th of June and at the time, processing time was 5 weeks. This weekend will make it 5 weeks and apart from updating my biometrics, there's been no update or movement since then.

At what point should I get worried?

At the time I applied, the processing time was 6 weeks. I will advise you contact them. In my case ChatGPT said if after four weeks no news from them i should contact them. In 3 weeks I was sent a mail to go for medicals and my permit was approved in 4 weeks and some days.

Yes I wrote in my SOP I studied medicine I also uploaded my transcripts. I used BorderPass which partners with my college to write my SOP and it was reviewed with one of their Immigration Lawyers before submission.

My school recommended that BorderPass. Their charge was 500CAD or so. Though i didn't use them, they still updates me with current immigration policies in Canada.

Means nothing. Using AI to generate texts that you can back up with documents shouldn't be a problem.

If I went to Covenant and graduated with a 1st class and I use AI to finetune this, it doesn't matter so long as I can show evidence of the claim.

Don't mind them. Even IRCC uses AI to respond to applicants.

Did their study permit get approved or denied after using AI? Were they turned back at the border because they used AI? Those are the questions you should ask.

Even IRCC uses AI.

Get the right documents, do the right things have the right amount of cash needed and your visa would be approved.

If the visa is refused, that means you won't be eligible for the Dubai Connect.

Transit visa is on arrival. If the visa is refused, Emirates would notify you via your email before you even board the plane.
