etrouble:
That’s the best they can aspire because they are afraid of facing the Yorubas in the general elections. Igbos will never come out and face Yorubas in the general elections. Instead Igbos will hide behind the Hausa/Fulanis to fight the Yorubas.

Nnamdi Azikwe with his PhD accepted to be Ceremonial President to semi literate Tafawa Balewa in order to fight the Yorubas.

Alex Ekwueme with his PhD accepted to be VP to half educated Almajari called Sheu Shagari so that he can fight Awolowo.

Central Bank Governor of defunct Biafra Central Bank with his international certificates and exposure accepted to be VP to bank teller called Bashir Tofa in order to fight MKO Abiola, yet Abiola defeated Tofa in Tofa’s local government and Ward. Still yet, it was another Igbo named Arthur Nzeribe who went to Court to stop/cancel the election.

Peter Obituary with all his certificates from the best universities all over the world and his several years of professional banking still accepted to be VP to semi literate Adamawa Bobrisky called Atikuchukwu Abubakar whose highest educational qualification is a bought ordinary Diploma of ABU.

Even Wike the wicked was scheming to be VP to Aminu Tambuwal a semi literate herdsman before the Adamawa Bobrisky bought all delegates at the Presidential primary.

Why are Igbos always scared of facing the Yorubas in general election? Common, you can do it. Face your fears once and for all. If you fail, then you try another day. Stop hiding behind the Hausa/Fulanis. Come out and face the Yorubas in the general elections.

PoliticsRe: Ekumankama Nkama Who Stands As Anyim’s Surety Disowns Him Citing Maina-Ndume by ABELKIDO(m): 1:35pm On Dec 04, 2020
This is my personal opinion and I’m not speaking with facts.
It is open knowledge that Nigeria’s Economic Financial Crimes Commision is the government’s lap dog. It’s perhaps one of the distinct agents of manipulation and frustration of the Federal Government.

The idea of cherrypicking who to investigate and prosecute is a Nigerian opposition government tradition.

This is just to force him to join APC

Yes, this Senator in question may be guilty, but you begin to wonder, why exactly him? Is he the only corrupt senator. I would never support stealing, or corruption, but why one for all?

We’ve seen several cases that I don’t even need to mention here. Where were the EFCC then?

Then you realize and simply make a quick google search of “What party is Pius Anyim?”

In the article, it is said that .. But the commissioner said recent events have compelled him to withdraw as surety to Anyim, citing the case of Ali Ndume

We all know what these recent events are—or don’t we?

One thing is, when the government wants to come for their perceived enemy, God save you because they surely know a way to go around it.

RomanceRe: I Want To Leave My Boyfriend For A New Guy. by ABELKIDO(m): 6:31am On Aug 01, 2020
Nairalanders, I'm about to do something my conscience doesn't agree with but it feels like the right decision to make. I have a boyfriend. We've been dating for the past 6 months. I love him. We were good friends before we started dating. I'm someone who doesn't trust easily and I like to assess a guy for a while before dating him. I assessed his intentions and I realised he didn't just want to have sex with me and leave. He loved me just as I loved him.

Three months ago I met this guy. At first I just saw him as a friend, but as I got to know him I started noticing the good qualities he possessed. He's very attractive, very intelligent and wellspoken. My conversations with him were so immersive. The little time I spent with him always left a profound impression on me. Soon I noticed I had started developing feelings for him. I was still in love with my boyfriend nevertheless.

One day the new guy asked me if I had a boyfriend. I told him I did. The next day he called me and said that he didn't want to interfere with my relationship. He said he had feelings for me and he couldn't remain friends with me when he knows I have a boyfriend. I told him that I had feelings for him as well and that we could still remain friends but he refused and suggested that we stopped talking. He hasn't called or texted me since that day.

This situation has left me in an emotional turmoil. This new guy represents everything I want in a guy and as much as I don't want to admit it, he possesses better qualities than my boyfriend. I can't imagine a life where I can't talk to him anymore. I really like him. His decision has left me in a dicey position. It's unfair to leave my boyfriend who has always been nice to me for someone else, but the new guy doesn't want to have anything to do with me again as long as I'm in a relationship.

Please I need advice. I don't want to make the wrong decision.

The second guy has seen the kind of girl you are that's why he backed out.

Is PMB from the south? So, the period of six years that Jonathan ruled after Yar’Adua died, we must make sure the North completes it so that the equation will be balanced. That is why I will support a northern candidate if the north decides to contest in 2023. I will not support a southern candidate because we must respect our northern brothers. That is my position as regards the 2023 presidential election."

Just as he said, that is his own position and opinion. He has only one vote.

EducationRe: Hijab: Court Strikes Out Human Right Suit Against University Of Ibadan School by ABELKIDO(m): 1:06pm On Jun 26, 2019
The school already have their uniform, so they should change it because you want to put on hijab nonsense.

What you said is complete rubbish. Nobody should be constricted to certain schools because of discrimination. We are all Nigerians and should be able to access education anywhere without discrimination. This should not be allowed in sane societies. Covering their head is religious prescription and must be allowed. If a Catholic nun wants to school anywhere, she will not be restricted because of her hijab.
On the case, the judge has used technicalities to strike out the suit. The merit of the case has not been examined. They will win in appeal court. Similar judgements have been won at appeal courts.
Babajide Sanwo-Olu, governor of of Lagos state, says his administration will not condone any act of indiscipline.

Speaking when he visited the head office of the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) in Oshodi on Friday, Sanwo-Olu charged the agency to deal with traffic violators.

He said even if it is his brother who is on the wrong side of the law, he should not be spared.

“If anyone breaks the law and he says he is a brother to the governor, tell him to call the governor to pay for the offence,” he said.

He told the traffic officials not to listen to anyone from his cabinet who might want to use his position to get someone arrested off the hook.

Sanwo-Olu also warned LASTMA officials to shun corruption and also show respect while on duty.

PoliticsRe: Buhari Declares N30m, 5 Homes, 270 Heads Of Cattle by ABELKIDO(m): 10:55am On May 29, 2019
nelsonjay:
President Muhammadu Buhari has in compliance with the constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, submitted his assets declaration forms to the Code of Conduct Bureau (CCB), with no significant changes in assets as declared in 2015, when he said he had N30m, five homes and 270 heads of cattle.

Garba Shehu, Senior Special Assistant to the President, Media and Publicity, said the president has submitted his forms in compliance with the law that asset declaration must precede his oath-taking slated for Wednesday.

According to Garba, the forms, as signed by the President and sworn to before a Judge of the Abuja High Court, showed no significant changes in assets as declared in 2015 by him.

“There are no new houses, no new bank accounts at home and abroad and there are no new shares acquired”, he said.

The implication is that the President’s assets have not significantly changed than he declared in 2015.

In 2015, Buhari declared that he had N30 million to his name.

If this is true that means Nigeria cannot make progress as far as Buhari remains the president.
PoliticsRe: 2023: South-west Will Produce The Next President Of Nigeria — Ahmad Lawan by ABELKIDO(m): 7:10pm On May 19, 2019
Organising Secretary of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in Adamawa State, Ahmad Lawan, has declared that the South-West zone will produce the next president on the platform of the party in 2023.

Igbere TV reports that Lawan, who is currently vying for the vacant position of National Secretary of the APC, promised to canvass for the region to produce the next president during his campaigns.

He claimed that the zone had sacrificed enough for the re-election of President Muhammadu Buhari, hence, should be compensated with the ticket.

Igbere TV reports that Lawan made the remarks over the weekend during an interactive session with newsmen in Yola, the Adamawa state capital.

His words: “APC’s 2023 presidential ticket belongs to the South-West and every APC member interested in the progress of the country should work towards making it a reality.

“In 2015 general elections, the South-West shelved its interest for the North and its candidate, Muhammadu Buhari, and did the same thing in the 2019 general elections. That is a friendship and partnership that the north must maintain and a kindness that must be repaid.”

Lamenting the defeat suffered by the APC in Adamawa state and other parts of the North in the February 23 presidential election, Lawan said: “It should even be considered an inordinate ambition for any Northerner to attempt to contest for the presidential ticket of the party in 2023 against candidates from South-West in view of the immense sacrifice they made for the progress of the country.”

He maintained that APC has a stronger chance of retaining power in 2023, if it fields a South-West candidate.
