NNPC pulls down structures on Pipeline routes

The management of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation has begun mass demolition of buildings including residential structures and shops erected on pipeline route in some parts of Ilorin metropolis, the Kwara State capital, North Central Nigeria.
Voice of Nigeria correspondent who visited the place on Saturday reported that NNPC mobilized equipment to the affected areas within the Ilorin metropolis where its operatives carried out the demolition exercise.
The management of the NNPC had earlier notified owners of buildings both residential and shops erected along pipeline route about three years ago to vacate them or risk being pulled down.
A resident of the area, who simply identified himself as Muyideen said that NNPC also gave the affected owners the grace of four weeks to remove .
