Technology MarketHtc Desire Z Vs Nokia E7 by abiamahart(op): 5:25pm On Oct 14, 2011
Hi everyone, Can you all objectively compare this two phones for me. Kinda confused which one to go for. Is anyone using the htc desire z? The review says hinge problem. Any concerns on the E7 i should be aware of? I had the LG P500 but prefer the physical keyboard and the camera must come with flashlight! Thanks in advance
SportsRe: Siasia's Records-the Facts by abiamahart: 8:42pm On Oct 13, 2011
All said and done Sia1 signed a contract. The contract has reward for success and penalties for failure. Or  are there waivers in the contract to reward failure? He knew the calibre of players Nigeria has prior to sighning the dotted lines. He was equally aware Equavoen/Super Chickens lost away to Guinea. He was equally aware he needed to win that match by two goals to be safe and dry or by one goal as best looser.

The goal that day was similar to Clemens Westerhof qualifying us for our first world cup. Rather than loose the ball kick it into the stands so long as we qualified.

In as much as most of the blame is on the players who were not hungry enough or were now more english than the whites to complain about weather??

Only IK Uche had the kind of desire that was what emulating by all.

On the goal keepers can you remember the FUP by Agbonibasket during westerhof reign that paved way for Alloy Agu or then Ike Sorunmi innability to deal effectively with crosses that confirmed Peter Rufai(then clubless but on self training) as our safe hands after marshalling the goal post against cameroon even Keshi(big boss) Uche Okechukwu(Gentle Giant) Ben (Stopper) Iroha and Chidi Nwanu who collectively knew clubless in-form Rufai was better than an unsafe Shorunmi in goal.

Clems saw this and provided a goal keeper trainer.

The buck ends with Sia-1 even if he is not fired i expect some form of penalty be it financially be paid by him. Nigerian fans are distraught, The media will loose money etc

Can't wait  for another paper to corroborate this story. This is the dude with the charcoal face in yoruba movies? If this sticks at the end of the day he may as well be entertaining for free behind bars. Glad we are in october otherwise this story can pass for a sell out april fool joke.

I love this topic as it gives me room to point out what i witnessed then as a young construction engineer at my Uncle's building site in 1998 along the road that takes you up to Esan.

We had bought 28bags of cement that morning and the sky was cloudy with mild showers and the foreman and workmen were  preparing to cast the first floor decking. I had advised against this believing the weather will work against and this may lead to loss of materials.

By the time we went to town and got back it was raining heavily and was angry they didnt heed my warning not to mix(Note we were mixing manually which takes a longer time). While i and some workmen hurried to cover the mix the fn oreman sent for a little boy(10-15yrs). On arrival he made a little fire and put some stuff from his bag into it with some incantations. In less than 2mins it was dry with an effective radius of about 200M or there about. I was still grappling with this mystery when again i went into town with the hired pickup to buy additional planks and met heavy downpour to and fro but our site was DRY! I mean SUNNY DRY WEATHER they even called him to come and reduce it. It was this way till about 4:30pm when we finished casting and gosh as the fire was going down it commenced drizzling and the before we could make shelter(less than 15M we were drenched) We waited for another 2hr plus for the rain to subside.

As we drove back into town the roads were flooded with water also entering our 504 GR(Bank type) then. Its my one and only time and had all this years felt there might be some science in this(He only delayed the rain not stopping it from falling at all) In 2001 the south africans tried creating rain with the russians by shooting +ve ions into a -vely charged atmosphere to create rainfall.

But Man turning into tortoise, motorcycle etc is taking it too far. For as long as there is day and night some natural WILL NEVER BE BROKEN but you can have mutations of species and imminently achieve either a =ve or -ve outcome

Glo 3G - Lagos satellite town - Zero advised to downgrade to Edge and guess what i get on my laptop Upload; 1.482-3.65kbps average and Download; o.54-12.82kbps average Very frustrating

Interestingly in the night in Abuja - Gwarinpa Estate - 380kbps-1.2Mbps on HSDPA quite fast and only when i do enjoy their service also in their Gloworld office at Ajao Estate while lodging complaints but by the time i drove up to DHL it was Sh;;t service again.

I guesss most of their claims are false. Pls can somebody shed more light on this new Etisalat package.

Missed mentioning Starcomms in our branch office maybe very slow in Festac but equally stable. We need the forum IT guns to help shed more light in this thread to enlighten the rest of us

If truly family members of suicide bombers are paid by their sponsors or given any form of care then the security agencies should go after his kinsmen with a view of getting leads to their sponsors. They introduced fear and distrust among the populace. They should not be allowed to enjoy any proceed otherwise this trend could become a profession for cowards.
PoliticsRe: Boko Haram: Jonathan Employs Israeli Security For Aso Rock by abiamahart: 8:04am On Sep 03, 2011
If that quotation from the Quran is right and its what BH is acting upon then we all better watchout. GEJ was bullseye on this one bringing in the Israel's special unit into this. No one better to lean on for concrete advice than the man living 24/7 in their mist. The UN building was attacked within the holy month of ramaddan. The Israelites will never do that but will anihillate you the following day after their holy day.

Soon Apache and Cobra helicopters will replace the few birds in our northern skies. Soon all pijab dressed women like or not must be frisked prior to entering buildings not to mention X-ray scan views showing the intimates of your wives and daughters freely viewed by security officials. Its high time we realise Nigeria is gradually imploding. I recommend people watch Fahrenheit 911 in other to comprehend the power of Fear factor been willed by different groups to attain their objectives at different times be they noble or extremist. Uwazurike's cry only confirms my fears in the 80/90's up till date about the menace of QUOTA SYSTEM and GENDER EQUALITY.

If we had the right people in the right places right from independence we won't be where we are today. Different groups at different times exploited the FEAR FACTOR;
ACTION GROUP
JACK BOOT MILITARY REGIMES
MAITASINE
OPC
MASSOB
NIGER DELTA MILITANT GROUPS
BOKO HARAM
and many more exploited this factor to control the entire populace.

They all wanted to be heard and claimed to be fighting a cause. The question is WHAT IS THE REAL CAUSE OF THIS GROUPhuh
The present smoke screen from the name doesnt jive.

One sure score like all other groups is that they now have our ears and rapt attention.

The Police HQ bombing was local in its dimension but the UN building was deffinitely to have the attention of the world and at whose cost - Nigeria

Two days ago all Nigerien(formerly thuoght to be hausaa) night guards where fired in our estate in favour of OPC.
My colleague since stopped giving any perceived begger of northern decent alms. My company mgt decided not to bid in for any other northern project until further notice. Personnel earlier wrote Mgt for an all risk cover worth N100M prior to undertaking any assignment up north. Now you get my drift what they are beginning to do to us.

While one commends efforts to act outside the norm with Europe dropping 22 nuclear plants by 2022 the next best alternative for them will be gas. I have recommended time after time that most of our IPP plants should be run off gas and developments made further on powering backup plants from waste generated from our exploding cities such as lagos.

Power is the next GOLD post crude oil if Nigeria positions itself to benefit from it all. The idea of selling all our gas reserves for future use now for export in multiple trains to cater for now is sowing abject poverty in the future.

I have tried to work with LAWMA on this but bureacratic bottle necks are everywhere. God save us from ourselves

An idle mind they say is the devil's workshop. I will prefer a liason between them and the security forces. They should only be armed with communication radios enough to alert the intervention forces whenever they sight suspiciuos persons along the pipeline route.

Equally they should be paid regularly while further creating the opportunity for vocational training in various oil and gas low to mid level skilled force.
ComputersRe: Is Swift 4g The Best Internet In Lagos by abiamahart: 8:42am On May 06, 2011
I use Glo 6GB 24/7 package at home in satellite town Lagos but very unsteady and only get value when its on WCDMA or HSDPA the edge and GPRS is rubbish but while offshore i get good speeds on HSDPA between 1.02MBPS to 2.1MBPS enabling quick downloads, streaming and stable browsing.

At the office in Festac my GLO is useless with the best been Edge 0.42kbps and GPRS8-11.2kbps translating to no network and frustrating service but the office uses starcomms which is stable CDMA but very slow for downloads. You dare download anything above 15Mb. We have problems attaching scanned documents and field pictures or data even after much file compression.

Right now on Glo its swinging between HSDPA and WCDMA at 16kbps download speed and 365kbps upload speed. The thread reveals other networks don't fair any better so one is stuck with the least fck

A woman who stalked Manchester United footballer Rio Ferdinand has been arrested after she fled court.

Susanne Ibru, 38, of Peckham, was convicted in her absence of harassing the England star and his family.

She left Macclesfield Magistrates' Court on Monday after being told she could not cross-examine the defender's wife, Rebecca.

Ibru was arrested in Warrington and charged with a further offence of assaulting a police officer.

District Judge Nicholas Sanders had issued a warrant so Ibru could be brought back before him and sentenced.

She appeared at South Cheshire Magistrates' Court on Tuesday, where she also pleaded guilty to breaching her bail conditions by arriving 90 minutes late for Monday's trial.

Simon Leech, defending, said it was a genuine error as she went to the wrong court building.

He said she was arrested moments after she had called a taxi to take her to the police station where she intended on handing herself in.

Judge Sanders said she would be sentenced for the harassment and bail matters at a later date, but said he might consider a community punishment.

Ibru was remanded and is due to appear before Warrington magistrates on 9 May over the alleged assault of a police officer, which is being dealt with separately.
'See you soon'

She will appear before Judge Sanders again on Wednesday, when he will consider a bail application.

She was remanded to allow police to establish where she lives, as she has been linked with addresses in Queens Road, Newcastle upon Tyne; Shaws Road, Southport; and York Terrace, Liverpool.

Judge Sanders described it as a "mystery".
Rio Ferdinand Rio Ferdinand's wife Rebecca gave birth to their third child at the weekend

On Monday, the court heard how she turned up at Mr Ferdinand's home in Alderley Edge three times in the space of four months in 2010.

Ibru had denied harassing the ex-England captain and his family.

Conducting her own defence, she told the court during her cross-examination of the footballer that she had been to Mr Ferdinand's house "about four or five times".

She asked him: "Do you think that amounts to harassment?"

He replied: "Yes."

As Mr Ferdinand left the court after giving his evidence, Ibru said: "I'll see you soon, bye."

Rebecca Ferdinand was excused from giving evidence following the birth of the couple's daughter.

Ibru told the judge she wanted to question Mrs Ferdinand and, when she was told she could not, she walked out of court and failed to return.

Giving his verdict, Judge Sanders said: "It is without question that it did amount to harassment of Mr and Mrs Ferdinand.

"Miss Ibru, I suspect, will say she didn't know but she certainly should have done."

PoliticsRe: Sarah Jibril: “my One Vote Will Continue To Haunt Nigerian Women” by abiamahart: 6:52am On Feb 07, 2011
Let us call a spade a spade. The politcal strategists working for GEJ are miles ahead of other parties and are perfecting there works from within the party.

The ruling party ensured gender participation for global conformity but ensured they presented a female large enough not to bite. She is part of the whole game.

Listening to her she could not communicate effectively and neither presented one problem facing Nigeria today that she had a plan to solve unless you call chants manifestos

I recall this questionable part of her speech "President GEJ and his vice will now enjoy the fruit of seeking the votes of women during their campaign from the north to the south"

I am glad under this charade she remembered to vote for herself - In the rerun in Akwa Ibom one of the contestants forgot to vote for himself or was his vote voided because he could not spell his name? Who are we deceiving?

My female colleague said even her daughter could have done better. Wake up Nigerian women if you are real

We further make this power thing seem like attempting to look for life on Pluto when we cannot boast of one fighter jet. NIPP is busy defacing Festac town with their aerial cables. While i agree its maintenance friendly lets do things in a manner that really shows we have Power system engineers. It pisses me while we do so well working for the Oil companies and some of their contractors hand over sht as projects.

Or dont we have competent people supervising them like in the Energy Commission of Nigeria -ECN with poorly designed solar street lights and recommending solar panels that are no longer in production by the manufacturer
PoliticsRe: Fg Adds 188mgw To Power, As Supply Sits 3,800mgw by abiamahart: 5:32pm On Jan 30, 2011
Please lets not be deceived by load shedding on the grid as improved power supply. In Akwa Ibom where i work its not good enough and in satellite town-Lagos its been over six weeks without power and we never had electricity for more than 3 hours in a day with none over the weekends. We just came out of a two months suspension on bill payment after the last outage lasted roughly 86days. The switchgear cubicles are over 30yrs old since they were installed when Obj was military head of state; 1978

One of our two 2.5MVA transformer has been dead for upwards of three years and the feeder at Otto-wharf feeding satellite town has been down with no care and guess what they still brought the bill - UNBELIEVABLE huh

Most of the PHCN personnel in satellite town now work under the fruit tree in their office or answer your inquiries at any of the nearby peppersoup joints - What a shame!

For me i had to just opt for solar energy and bought a fairly used emergency generator from UK
